Chapter 375: Chapter 277: Divine Enthronement? Divine Enthronement
Staring at the Magic Books before him, Isaac was in a predicament. Still, no matter how difficult the choice, he had to make one. ’I just have to pick the best of a bad bunch!’
After careful consideration, Isaac took the Magic Book based on *The Investiture of the Gods* from Harmon’s palm. Of course, its current title was *Mythic Epic*—a rather Ordinary name.
Isaac had originally considered giving it a flashier name to compensate for its slightly lower quality, but after thinking it over, he ultimately decided to stick with a more Ordinary one.
A Legendary Mage’s Magic Book was meant to last a lifetime. An unconventional name might generate a lot of buzz in the short term, but it would be detrimental to long-term development. For a Legendary Mage, the benefits were immense if their books could be passed down through the ages.
Of course, another factor that led Isaac to this decision was that such a clever trick wouldn’t have generated much buzz anyway.
The moment he took *Mythic Epic*, Isaac’s consciousness once again entered the star-filled space. Compared to the previous three Magic Books, the grand setting and various wondrous abilities within *Mythic Epic* made this starscape far more magnificent. High above, the two largest and brightest stars were The Investiture of the Gods and the God-Beating Whip!
However, their brightness was relative. *Mythic Epic* hadn’t been around for long. Although its content related to Deities—particularly Divine Enthronement—was very eye-catching, especially for the people of the Teaching Country where nearly everyone in the upper and middle echelons owned a copy, there simply hadn’t been enough time. Among all the stars in the sky, not a single one had condensed into a [Legend], not even the brightest: The Investiture of the Gods and the God-Beating Whip.
And so, gazing at the star-filled sky, Isaac was troubled. The Investiture of the Gods and the God-Beating Whip were powerful, but in his plan, the two were meant to be used together. One was for God Creation, the other for controlling the Gods. Only when paired with other Magic Techniques could he achieve the enslavement of Deities.
But the accumulated Power of Faith was still insufficient, and he only had one lampwick.
After a moment’s hesitation, Isaac sighed deeply. He finally chose to use the Miracle slot on The Investiture of the Gods. The priority right now was to quickly obtain Tier Four combat power after his promotion. As for a means of control, that could be set aside for now.
’If worse comes to worst and I lose control, I’ll just discard it and make a quick getaway. No big deal.’
Besides, it wasn’t as if there would be no means of control. After all, even a lower-level [Legend] ability wasn’t an exact replica of the power from its book; it always underwent some degree of transformation. A good example was the Fairy Elf summoned by the [Legend] from *Cinderella*.
’If [Legend] abilities have this characteristic,’ he thought, ’a higher-level [Miracle] surely won’t be any worse.’
Having made his decision, Isaac kept only *Mythic Epic* out and absorbed the other three Magic Books into his body. Then, following Isaac’s will, Harmon laid out a basic Hexagram Magic Array on the ground and placed *Mythic Epic* in its center.
Isaac, meanwhile, placed the Miracle Lampwick into an oil lamp. A glow of Magic Power flickered at his fingertips, and a pea-sized, multicolored flame ignited. With a gentle push from the hand holding the lamp, he sent it flying above the Magic Array.
The multicolored lampwick swayed gently. Specks of miraculous starlight emerged, converging on the Magic Book in the center of the Magic Array. The array itself began to glow as the gathered Magic Power, guided by the Miracle Lampwick, slowly flowed into the book.
Isaac’s eyes narrowed. As the Magic Book’s owner, he could feel a power of an incredibly high order suddenly descend upon it. A phantom world was rapidly taking shape!
’Is this accelerating the process of creating the Miracle?’
Isaac was both surprised and delighted.
He had originally thought the Miracle Lampwick would simply create a Miracle out of thin air. Only after using it did he realize that it didn’t just skip the steps to produce a result; instead, it accelerated and completed the process of forging the Miracle.
Although the final result was the same, the latter was clearly far more useful to Isaac. After all, he could use this process to gain a deeper understanding of how a [Miracle] is forged, which would be highly beneficial for his future Cultivation.
While Isaac was lost in thought, the phantom world inside the Magic Book finished forming. In an instant, the Miracle Lampwick’s pea-sized, multicolored flame swelled. Drawn by the wick, the Power of World Origin descended and rapidly merged with the Magic Book.
In a flash, the phantom Divine Sealing World inside the Magic Book was refined by the Power of World Origin, dissolving completely within it.
Next, the Miracle Lampwick’s flame burst apart, transforming into multicolored starlight that sank into Isaac’s body. Without the lampwick’s pull, the Power of World Origin rapidly dissipated, taking the dissolved phantom world with it as it merged back into the greater world.
At that exact moment, as the Power of World Origin returned to the world, a strange sensation arose within Isaac. Simultaneously, his Magic Power, which had long been stagnant, began to surge.
He was breaking through!
Isaac was stunned for a moment, then quickly closed his eyes to feel the changes in his power. At the same time, a pitch-black rift appeared behind him. Surging Magic Power poured into his body, suppressing the fluctuations from his breakthrough as much as possible.
This was not the time to be causing a huge stir with his breakthrough.
A Tier Three Isaac and a Tier Four Isaac were two completely different concepts. The former would only emerge from the Endless Tower as a Tier Four, which was nothing special to most of the Empire’s elite. But a Tier Four Isaac would emerge as a Tier Five!
And a noble Mage at that!
An exceptionally young Mage, no less!
This was something Solomon’s political enemies would never tolerate. It was highly likely they would try to ambush and kill Isaac in the Endless Tower.
He wasn’t afraid of trouble, but he had no interest in looking for it.
And just like that, a Miracle Mage was born in silence...
The promotion lasted the entire night.
「The next morning」
In the dim basement, Isaac slowly opened his eyes, the corners of his mouth curving upward. In a sense, his gamble had paid off.
Isaac extended his right hand. The radiance of Magic flashed in the dim basement, and a stream of miraculous light coiled around his fingertips—Miracle·Divine Sealing!
Miracle·Divine Sealing was the Miracle Magic Isaac had awakened upon reaching Tier Four. It had two main effects. The first: to enthrone Deities!
Or rather, to weave Deities. He could weave one or more types of Divine Power into a Virtual Divinity. Any being that received this Divinity would instantly become the corresponding Deity. Although it would be a newborn Virtual Deity, it would possess the full range of powers expected of a Deity!
Even the weakest Virtual Deity would possess the combat power of a Strong Tier Four!
Most importantly, the Virtual Divinity was completely under Isaac’s control. While he couldn’t determine the Virtual Deity’s life or death, its power could not harm him in any way. Moreover, he could retract the Virtual Deity’s power at any time!
The second effect was the ability to create a Magic Book capable of forming contracts with Deities and commanding them!
