Endless Magic Power surged from Isaac’s body into the ever-growing heart behind him. Streams of blood gushed forth, coalescing mid-air into a tide of rats shimmering with faint blue light, squealing chaotically.

Coordinated Demon, Splitting Rat Type III!

As far as Isaac was concerned, no modified creature was better suited for the Heart of Harmony. Each rat was merely a Non-Rank Demon, possessing only a sliver of Magic Power and a tiny body. Their individual combat power was therefore pathetic—in a one-on-one fight, they couldn’t even beat a goblin.

But!

For that very reason, the cost to create them was extremely low. A massive swarm could be created in an incredibly short amount of time!

Furthermore, while the Magic Power in their bodies was minimal, it wasn’t nonexistent. That tiny amount of Magic Power would be hard-pressed to cast Magic or enhance their physical forms. At most, it could only slightly increase their ferocity, making it quite unremarkable.

But...

It was enough to activate the Heart of Harmony!

Thus, when the numbers of these incredibly weak rats reached a critical mass, a Miracle...

Terrifying, surging Magic Power began to condense. A great blue river coiled behind Isaac before branching into countless streams that flew toward the Floating Islands being cultivated!

Naturally, the Wizards of the Mechanical God Sect weren’t about to stand by and watch Isaac act. But the Flesh Sect Wizards weren’t useless, either. The High-level Combat Powers of both sides were once again locked in battle, leaving only some Tier Two Wizards and modified Knights to launch any effective attacks on Isaac.

That’s right, Tier Two.

As the saying goes, they live by the Mechanical Body and die by the Mechanical Body. The Wizards of the Mechanical God Sect normally commanded immense combat power thanks to their vast numbers of Mechanical Bodies. But without them, it was as if their arms and legs had been severed!

Previously, under the protection of a vast number of Mechanical Bodies, the Mechanical God Sect had turned the Chaotic Sky Sea into an iron fortress. Any ordinary High-level Mage who dared to enter would have been obliterated by the dense, automated Firepower. Consequently, the Mechanical God Sect hadn’t bothered to station many defenders here.

Therefore, after Isaac sacrificed all of the Mechanical God Sect’s Mechanical Bodies in one go, the only ones left on their side who could try to stop him were these Tier Two Little Underlings.

Strictly speaking, however, they weren’t attacking Isaac himself. Instead, they were launching their assault on his Great Sword Ghosts and the Rat Tide!

Attacking a High-level Mage who could instantly kill other High-level Mages...

’Frankly, they aren’t that bold. Forget them—even I wouldn’t have dared to challenge a Tier Three High-level Mage back when I was only Tier Two.’

The Coordinated Demon, Splitting Rat Type III, had two core abilities: Heart of Harmony and splitting. Because their base form was the Demon Rat, their Magic Power was too low to effectively use the splitting ability. They’d be finished after splitting just once or twice.

But connecting to the Heart of Harmony changed everything. Just like the Great Sword Ghosts, once they formed a Magic Array similar to a Battle Array, the Coordinated Demon Splitting Rat Type III’s individual abilities were not only greatly enhanced, but more importantly, they could all share their Magic Power!

The available Magic Power they could draw upon multiplied by at least several thousandfold!

Even with such a small base amount of Magic Power, when linked across such terrifying numbers, the total was substantial. The most significant improvement was the number of times they could split.

Unless all the Demon Rats could be annihilated in a single instant, each one could split at least thirteen times!

Without an overwhelmingly powerful expert intervening, the scale of the Rat Tide would only continue to grow!

So, while Isaac noticed their actions, he didn’t react in the slightest. They were not worth his concern.

Their attacks would only make the Rat Tide more numerous. The only exception was Elemental Magic, since a direct hit from that would leave not even a trace of the rats behind. Splitting, after all, required a corpse to work with.

As for the Great Sword Ghosts...

Putting aside the Wizards, it was questionable whether the remaining modified humans could even handle a single Great Sword Ghost in a one-on-one fight. And as for the Great Sword Ghost Legion...

And this was with Isaac’s research into the Heart of Harmony still being shallow, resulting in a rather crude Magic Military Array. If this were a true Extraordinary Legion of the same level, they could easily take on not just Tier Three, but even Tier Four opponents!

Of course, that was limited to frontal confrontations on the battlefield. In most situations, a Tier Three Knight could slowly toy with and kill most legions, let alone a Tier Four. Their mobility just wasn’t in the same league.

Thus, with no High Tier experts intervening, Isaac’s plan of destruction proceeded smoothly.

Soon, under the frenzied assault of the Great Sword Ghost Legion and the Rat Tide, the first Floating Island began to collapse with a deafening RUMBLE. It broke apart into massive boulders that sank into the sea. It was hard to say if they would pass through the Floating Sea and fall into the Endless Sea below.

’But that’s not important, and this isn’t the time to think about it. Besides, there’s no need to ponder it now. I can just look it up in the Sect’s archives after the mission. The priority right now is to destroy the other Floating Islands first.’

Thus, as the Floating Island collapsed, streams of blood-red light and waves of the Rat Tide flew out from the wreckage, speeding toward the other islands!

The sight made the members of the Mechanical God Sect burn with fury. The Floating Islands were an asset of the highest order to their Sect. They were mobile mechanical fortresses. When it came to the technology for building Floating Cities, if the Mechanical God Sect claimed second, no one would dare claim first!

Although these marvels would never end up in the hands of Little Underlings like them, just like Isaac’s group, they were rewarded for completing Sect missions—and the rewards were incredibly high!
