And if goblins were considered natural creatures, then perhaps the race still held some research value.

He wanted to try again—to help goblins break through their racial limitations and become stronger!

In the past, Soron’s methods for modifying goblins were relatively crude. He would either replace various body parts, directly stimulate them with Dimensional Magic Power, or do both at the same time.

All three methods yielded some results, but without exception, none managed to break the goblin’s racial limitations. The only one that could be considered a marginal success was the second method, and even that was barely a success.

This was because once a being was overly affected by the Corrosion of Dimensional Magic Power, its very Existence would shift toward the Dimension, and it could no longer be considered a normal creature.

But now, Soron had a fourth idea: Extraordinary Professions!

Regardless of the specific type, the essence of any Extraordinary Profession was a path for an Ordinary lifeform to transform into a High-level Magic Life.

This path had never been exclusive to humans, a point proven by Soron himself becoming a Legendary Mage. It was just that humans were the intelligent race that had best mastered this evolutionary path of Extraordinary Professions.

In this world, there just so happened to be a path that required no brains, no physical talent, and no aptitude for Magic Power to become a Transcendent—a path intimately related to goblins: Goblin Slayer!

A Goblin Slayer only needed to perform a simple ritual and wear the required attire to become a Goblin Slayer who grew stronger by killing goblins!

Although making a goblin into a Goblin Slayer was somewhat ridiculous and inhumane, goblins weren’t human. So did being "inhumane" even matter?

Besides, Soron believed that with their tiny brains, goblins definitely had no such moral concepts.

After all, goblins were a part of this world.

Then, it would have to slaughter a massive number of goblins. Only through this process, with its intelligence improving along the way, would it have a chance to become a Transcendent.

In other words, if Soron’s experiment truly succeeded, then beneath the feet of every goblin Transcendent would lie an endless sea of goblin corpses!

That was why the Terra Empire couldn’t determine the Divinity’s whereabouts.

Of course, a major reason they had made such a critical error was that while participating in the battle for Divinity, they were also engaged in an almost all-out war with the Apostles and Believers of the Master of Billions of Flesh!
