Chapter 314: Chapter 232: A Crushing Pioneering War
BOOM!
The Saint Master’s Magic Power suddenly erupted. He accelerated in an instant, flashing through the air to appear before the Demon Wolf. His massive fist came crashing down, viciously slamming the Demon Wolf into the ground!
ROAR!
Refusing to be outdone, the Demon Wolf let out a low roar. A vast and malevolent Magic Power erupted from within it. Beneath its gray-black fur, powerful muscles rippled and bulged as Magic Power and flesh combined to unleash an unparalleled force!
BOOM!
And then...
The head it had just managed to lift was smashed deep into the earth again by the viciously grinning Saint Master’s fist!
This might have seemed incredible. After all, the Demon Wolf was a Tier Three High-level Demon, while the Saint Master, despite being on the verge of Tier Three, had not yet crossed the threshold. In theory, he shouldn’t have been able to dominate a Tier Three being so completely.
When Isaac defied the odds and defeated a Tier Three opponent in the past, there were a few reasons. First, King Yitla himself was relatively weak for his rank. Second, he was a Knight, who are inherently a step below Wizards. And third...
Although it looked like Isaac was dominating the entire fight, he had actually used every trick in the book. If King Yitla had possessed combat strength on par with Caesar’s, Isaac would not have been able to defeat him.
That’s just a Wizard’s way of fighting.
When Wizards fight, there are typically only two scenarios: you’re either crushing your opponent or being crushed. At least, that’s the perception.
As for an evenly matched fight...
Those are exceptionally rare.
Wizards rely on Magic and Authority. A straightforward exchange of spells is a scenario that rarely occurs, even among Low-tier Mages. Fights between Wizards are typically battles of wits, a strategic game of moves and counter-moves.
Unlike Knight Barbarians, who fight purely on instinct.
Of course, you have to admit that a lot of the time, this kind of visceral, punch-for-punch brawl is much more exciting to watch!
ROAR!
The long-awaited chance to fight with his full strength made the Saint Master let out an excited low roar. The nearly pure-gold Dragon Blood coursed through his veins, seeming to emit the faint cry of a Dragon. Dark red Magic Power coiled around his arms like the flames of Purgatory—explosive, yet silent.
BOOM!
With a tremendous bang, a punch concentrating all the Saint Master’s power landed brutally on the Demon Wolf, instantly blowing off half its head!
The nearly fatal injury allowed the Demon Wolf’s consciousness to briefly regain control of its body, but this was a control it would rather not have!
Because it!
The great and terrible Demon Wolf!
The Wolf King, ruler of all wolves!
A high-ranking wolf that commanded the darkness!
To be beaten half to death in three punches by this Half-dragon Man who wasn’t even Tier Three?
It could not accept this outcome!
Of course, in its fleeting moment of clarity, it couldn’t have known. This Half-dragon Man who had beaten it half to death in three punches possessed a Sub-Dragon bloodline that rivaled a Pure-blooded Giant Dragon, and his physique was every bit as formidable.
As for his Magic Power, the quality originating from his Giant Dragon Bloodline was already high. Furthermore, it had been bolstered by both the Evil God White Whale and the Purgatory Demon God. The latter was especially significant, as the very source of a Demon God’s Magic Power possessed an extraordinary might.
Though he was not a High-level Creature himself, both his physique and his Magic Power surpassed those of most High-level Creatures!
Factor in that the wolf couldn’t even use its Authority, and its defeat was only to be expected. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ
BOOM!
After blowing off half the Demon Wolf’s head with one punch, the sweet scent of blood certainly excited him, but he did not let his guard down in the slightest. His other fist, wreathed in black flames, instantly descended, blasting the remaining half to smithereens!
ROAR!!!
After killing the Demon Wolf, the Saint Master let out an excited, triumphant roar to the heavens. His explosive Dragon Might poured out wantonly in all directions. Wherever it passed, the weaker Demons, though their eyes remained fierce and crazed, found their bodies collapsing against their will.
On one hand, this was due to the fear of the High-level Creature, the Giant Dragon, ingrained in their bloodline. On the other hand, the Saint Master’s Dragon Might was simply too powerful, almost to the point of affecting physical matter. Under the pressure of this Dragon Might, their bodies went limp, completely drained of strength.
The Will of the Wilderness could allow these Demons to ignore mental pressure, but it couldn’t help them resist physical harm.
And as these Demons fell like weeds, twisted and grotesque tree roots shot out from the ground, plunging viciously into their bodies and sucking them dry into beast husks in an instant!
Then, all the Essence of Life was sent back to the Three-eyed Goblin, who then created more Muscle Bully Goblins to be sent to the front lines and thrown into battle.
During this process, as the territory steadily expanded, the Three-eyed Goblin also reaped some rewards.
The prolonged, high-intensity use of its Demon Eye to modify goblins had led to a slight improvement in its abilities. Although the combat power of the modified goblins hadn’t changed much, their survival time had greatly increased, now lasting for over an hour!
From a dozen or so minutes to over an hour—the leap was not insignificant. More importantly, its speed of modifying goblins had also increased, allowing it to keep up with the slowly expanding battlefront.
Of course, it could only keep up for now. As the Pioneer Territory continued to expand, the Muscle Bully Goblins would eventually fall behind. For one, the modification speed wouldn’t be able to keep pace. For another, their strength would prove insufficient...
Goblins...
In the end, they were just too fragile. Even with the wondrous and powerful Dimensional Magic Power, their ceiling was only so high.
