Wizard: Scamming a Demon God
Chapter 309 - 229: Returning to the Old Trade (Part 2)
Chapter 309: Chapter 229: Returning to the Old Trade (Part 2)
Admittedly, Isaac could have the Activated Demonic Puppets take over some of this work, but only some. Among these Casters, there had to be at least three Tier Three High-level Casters, plus a Tier Four Miracle Mage!
The Activated Demonic Puppets could meet the numbers, but they were severely lacking in quality.
So...
He couldn’t move just yet.
Fortunately, Caesar wouldn’t be kicking him out anytime soon, so he still had some time.
Returning to the main topic, fusing the two hundred Crystal Balls wasn’t difficult. Isaac simply tossed them into the Magic Cauldron one by one, gave them a casual stir, and successfully merged them.
Yes, the Alchemy of a Legendary Mage was just that simple and crude!
And so, carrying the brand-new, extra-large-capacity Crystal Ball, Isaac once again entered the sealed chamber where the Divine Blood was stored.
"Alright, now it’s time to witness a miracle!"
Looking at the Divine Blood floating in the air, Isaac held out the Crystal Ball. A faint light flickered in his eyes as his [Analysis] Authority activated at full power. A massive amount of data gushed out like a flood, passing through Isaac and transferring entirely into the Crystal Ball.
After the two previous crude infusions, Isaac, acting as a "conduit," had been "loosened up" a bit. Although it was still uncomfortable, it was *only* uncomfortable. It wasn’t like the first time when he had passed out immediately, nor like the second time when his face had turned deathly pale.
He just furrowed his brow slightly.
’Perhaps before long, he’d be able to withstand this much data himself?’
’Of course, even if I could withstand it, I wouldn’t do something so stupid. At its current stage, my [Analysis] Authority Power isn’t strong enough, and most of the analyzed data is just junk. Who in their right mind would stuff their own brain with crap for fun?’
At the same time, compared to the previous Crystal Ball that had exploded instantly, this custom-made one indeed had a much larger capacity. Although it still lit up very quickly, it didn’t explode right away.
Soon, a golden radiance began to emanate from the Crystal Ball, indicating that it was nearly full.
Isaac’s brow furrowed, and he decisively stopped his Analysis of the Divine Blood.
Although he felt he was just a little bit away from completing the analysis, Isaac didn’t dare gamble on just how big that "little bit" truly was. Quitting while he was ahead had always been his philosophy.
’Besides, even if I really didn’t finish, I can just wait for the next batch of bigger, higher-capacity Crystal Balls to arrive and resume then. For now, I’ll just study the data I’ve already obtained.’
The faint light in Isaac’s eyes faded, replaced by a look of utter exhaustion. This was another, less important reason he had stopped just then; even just acting as a conduit for the data put him under immense pressure.
But no matter how exhausted he was, Isaac didn’t forget to reactivate the seals one by one as he left the chamber.
After leaving the chamber, Isaac carefully stored away the Crystal Ball, which was filled with data from the Divine Blood and glowing with a faint golden light. Then, he collapsed onto the bed in his laboratory and fell into a deep sleep.
’The research can wait. Right now, I just want to sleep...’
Since his promotion to High-level Mage, he hadn’t needed to rest for a very long time due to his powerful life essence. And although he had been unconscious for several days before, his mind had been filled with chaotic data back then. That sleep...
’...was worse than not sleeping at all!’
’So now I need to get some proper rest, to recover my spirit, so I can be in peak condition to analyze the Divine Blood’s data!’
...
「Three days later.」
Isaac climbed out of bed, looking refreshed. He habitually wiped at his face, where traces of fluid had already been cleaned away. He nonchalantly picked up the nearby towel Liu Li had prepared, washed his face, then retrieved the Crystal Ball. He walked to his desk, sat down, and began to earnestly analyze the data inside.
A faint light glimmered in Isaac’s eyes. Aided by his [Analysis] Authority, the vast amount of data within the Crystal Ball was rapidly processed by Isaac, flying out onto sheet after sheet of parchment.
’Most of this data is useless. However, I won’t discard it; I’ll store it separately. As the saying goes, "There’s no such thing as useless items, only useless people!"’
’So what if it’s junk data?’
’Even the junkiest data possesses power once it reaches a certain order of magnitude!’
’For example, the first time I analyzed the Divine Blood, I was knocked unconscious by the sheer volume of data.’
’If I can be overwhelmed, then others certainly can be too. It’s just a matter of quantity. So I can definitely create a Magic spell for this junk data and turn trash into treasure!’
’As for a place to store it...’
’Coincidentally, this Divine Blood research has reminded me that I need something capable of storing a massive amount of data. And that something cannot, and should not, be a Crystal Ball.’
’Crystal Balls are convenient, but I have to buy them from external sources. And while they’re easy to procure, I just need too many of them. It’s better to be self-sufficient than to be dependent on others.’
’The Dimension World would be an excellent vessel. As the Master of Dimensions, I can make some modifications to it.’
’But no matter how wonderful the idea, these things can’t be accomplished overnight. For now, I’ll still have to rely on Crystal Balls.’
And so, as Isaac threw himself wholeheartedly into analyzing the data from the Divine Blood, time flew by. In the blink of an eye, half a month had passed...
...
"Phew~" Isaac let out a long sigh of relief at his desk, leaning back in his chair with his head tilted up. In front of him lay a thin booklet of Parchment containing all the useful data from this analysis. As for the useless data...
...it was scattered all around Isaac, forming a veritable ocean of parchment!
And that wasn’t even all of it. Over the past few days, Liu Li had been constantly tidying up and organizing it; the junk data had already filled several rooms!
Fortunately, the Mage Tower had a constant Space Magic enchantment. As long as the space wasn’t being used for magical experiments, it could be expanded almost infinitely!
’Magic. Isn’t it amazing?’
’Of course, this still doesn’t solve the fundamental problem. The data storage function of the Dimension World still needs to be prepared as soon as possible. And in that regard...’
’Hmm, this just so happens to be right up my alley!’
’I know an Outer God with just this ability!’
’I didn’t use this knowledge before, but not because of the Anchor Point issue. The Anchor Point is my own problem. If a power is used on the Dimension World, then there’s no need to consider Anchor Points. After all, the Dimension World has no inherent connection to the Real World.’
’The only reason I didn’t use it was because I wasn’t in a hurry, so I figured I’d try researching it myself first.’
’I’m a Wizard, after all; my trade is Knowledge. How could I always be thinking of just taking what I want by force?’
’That’s just too barbaric!’
’But the situation has changed. Since this is urgent, desperate times call for desperate measures. There’s no harm in a little robbery.’
’Besides, who’s to say that researching *how* to steal isn’t a form of research in itself?’
’You think robbing an Outer God is easy?’
Isaac stretched his stiff limbs, glanced at the sea of parchment around him, and let out another long sigh. Then, with a serious expression, he picked up the small stack of useful data before him and began to study it carefully.
A moment later, Isaac put it down.
’The data... it’s useful, but not *that* useful.’
The Divine Blood was only an insignificant part of that fallen Deity and had endured the long passage of time. Much of its information had been completely lost, and Isaac hadn’t even fully analyzed what little remained.
’So the current situation is actually within my expectations. After all it’s been through, it’s a miracle there’s anything useful left at all.’
Isaac’s greatest hope for the Divine Blood was to find some shred of inspiration on how to create a new Deity. As long as he got that, he would be satisfied.
Unfortunately, this hope was not fulfilled. Perhaps it was because too little information remained in this drop of Divine Blood, or perhaps it was because Isaac hadn’t finished analyzing all the data. In any case, it did not contain what he was looking for.
But it wasn’t a complete loss. Among the data were two relatively complete and usable Divine Arts. One was a rather common Healing Divine Technique, which basically every Deity knew, so it held little value.
The other was far more special. Its name was Song of Life, and it was a Divine Art used to resurrect the dead!
