Chapter 306: Chapter 228: Great Secret Treasure Acquired! The Empire Is in for It

Beneath layers upon layers of Magic Seals, within a dark and gloomy secret chamber, a single drop of golden blood floated silently in the air. On the floor lay Isaac, his condition unknown...

An unknown amount of time passed. Isaac let out a groan as he slowly opened his eyes. He rubbed his head, brow furrowed, and gradually pushed himself up from the floor, hissing in pain.

’Hiss... I was careless. To think the volume of information would be this immense...’ Isaac rubbed his temples as he slowly got to his feet, casting a fearful glance at the drop of Divine Blood floating in the air.

’As expected of a God.’ Even a single drop of Divine Blood from a deceased deity contained an astonishing amount of information. The moment Isaac activated his [Analysis], a tidal wave of data poured out of the Divine Blood, and the sheer volume nearly fried his brain!

The biggest problem was that while the amount of data was immense, very little of it was useful. This was because Isaac’s [Analysis] Authority was slightly too weak compared to the tier of the Divine Blood. It couldn’t selectively extract the information he needed, as it would with other substances or Magic. Instead, it indiscriminately downloaded everything!

That was the main reason he had been almost completely overwhelmed.

"Whew..." After taking a moment to recover, Isaac composed himself. He didn’t immediately try to analyze the Divine Blood again. Instead, he cast a spell to check the time and see how long he had been unconscious.

He had to; there was too much on his plate right now. If he remained out of contact for too long, major problems could arise.

Isaac soon relaxed. Only a week had passed—not a long time at all. The more important matters he was involved in had yet to bear fruit. After all, neither the research into stealing the God of Credit’s Divine Power nor his older brother Caesar’s negotiations with the Empire were things that could be resolved overnight.

The only area that might have progressed more quickly was the Dimension Apostles’ exploration of the Endless Sea. But even their efficiency was fairly mediocre. Although there were many Dimension Apostles, their strengths varied wildly, making their exploration speed extremely slow.

So far, they had only explored a few small, uninhabited islands, none of which held any value. They weren’t even worth visiting in person.

The seabed, on the other hand, had yielded quite a few discoveries.

Although the Endless Sea was artificially created, it showed no signs of its manufactured origins. Aside from its unimaginably vast area and the incredible number of Secret Treasures it contained, it was identical to a real ocean in every other way, right down to its complex ecosystem.

During their exploration of the seabed, the Dimension Apostles had discovered a significant number of High-level Demons. Without a doubt, the resources of the Deep Sea were far richer than those of the islands on the surface.

Unfortunately, acquiring them was extremely difficult; at least with his current level of power, they were beyond his reach.

Faced with such a high concentration of High-level Demons, even Isaac himself would have no choice but to flee.

’But now that he’d found a mountain of treasure, how could he possibly return empty-handed?’

Isaac dispatched a few of his weaker Dimension Apostles, those skilled in underwater movement, to specialize in treasure hunting in the Deep Sea. ’Since Dimension Apostles can’t die and can instantly retreat to the Dimension World with any treasure they find, if they die enough times, surely they’ll eventually come back with something, right?’

’Zero cost, high reward!’

Beyond that, there was another benefit to sending the Dimension Apostles treasure hunting. The Demons in the Deep Sea typically killed their enemies by swallowing them whole. They would open their massive maws and inhale with terrifying force, sucking in vast quantities of seawater along with their prey. After expelling the water, they would slowly begin to digest.

However... Dimensional Magic Power possessed an incredibly potent erosive quality, and a Dimension Apostle’s entire body was composed of it!

An endless supply of it!

Even a High-level Demon would be eroded from within after ingesting enough Dimensional Magic Power. At that point, Isaac could directly acquire new, High-level Dimension Apostles!

They wouldn’t be particularly intelligent, but they would make for perfect muscle.

Most importantly, they could be revived infinitely after death, providing Isaac with a large supply of Demon organs. He could then use these for transplants to create even more powerful and intelligent Dimension Apostles!

’A plan to kill two birds with one stone!’

The only drawback was that it was incredibly time-consuming...

Neither the treasure hunting nor the Corrosion of the Deep Sea Demons could be accomplished overnight, which was why there had been no significant gains during the week he was unconscious.

Isaac sighed and pushed these distracting thoughts aside. His expression turned serious as he extended his right hand. Dark Dimensional Magic Power surged forth, and a Crystal Ball materialized in his palm. He held the Crystal Ball out toward the Divine Blood, a faint light glimmering in his eyes as he activated his [Analysis] Authority once more!

Just as before, an immense torrent of information surged through the Authority!

However, unlike last time, Isaac’s face merely paled and he swayed slightly on his feet before steadying himself. He didn’t collapse again!

At the same time, the Crystal Ball in his hand began to glow, rapidly intensifying until it was blindingly bright, and then it shattered in an instant!

The experiment had failed, but a faint smile touched Isaac’s lips.

’It failed, but not completely.’ He had found the right approach to analyzing the Divine Blood!

The answer lay in the Crystal Ball that had just shattered.

’If his Authority couldn’t filter the data, and his brain couldn’t withstand the sheer volume, then he simply needed to redirect it to an external storage device.’ Isaac had acted as a conduit, connecting the Divine Blood to the Crystal Ball. The pressure was still immense, but with an outlet for the flood of information, he wouldn’t be overwhelmed and collapse like before.
