Chapter 305: Chapter 227: Analysis of Divine Blood! A Crash?

Of course, it didn’t matter to Isaac whether this guy was the one who had stolen Caesar’s Authority. He couldn’t make a move right now anyway, and besides, he had no interest in getting revenge for Caesar.

’I’m even looking forward to seeing this Otherworld’s version of the "War of the Two Stones."’

"Alright, the ritual is over. What are your plans now? Heading back? Or are you going to explore a bit more?" Having signed the Witchcraft Contract, Phoenix’s task was complete. He flew over to Isaac with a smile and asked.

"I’m going to explore some more. What about you?" Isaac asked in return.

As far as things stood, the mission the Empire had given him was already complete. The battle over the Tier Three ritual had been a total success. The remaining stages were beyond what the current Isaac could meddle in.

So, there was nothing left for him to do.

This made sense. If his high-intensity involvement was required for the subsequent phases, the Empire wouldn’t have asked for his help in the first place.

Still, Isaac had no intention of heading back just yet. The Endless Sea had only just appeared and was filled with countless treasures. It was the prime time for exploration; leaving now would be foolish.

’Besides, my older brother is probably busy haggling with the Empire over the Water Tornado that appeared in his domain. This is a good place to lay low and avoid the drama.’

"Me? I have other business, so I’ll be heading back. If you return to the Real World, send me a message. I’ll head straight to your territory." As he spoke, Phoenix smiled and handed Isaac a piece of parchment for contacting him.

BOOM!

As Isaac took the parchment, Phoenix’s body once again erupted with immense light and heat, transforming into a searing beam of brilliance that shot off into the distance.

Isaac watched Phoenix depart, clicking his tongue in amazement. There were quite a few High-level Knights with close ties to Wizards these days, but to befriend them by serving as a test subject...

He was the only one Isaac had ever heard of!

’As long as that guy doesn’t get himself killed, his future is truly limitless!’

’Well, of course, he’s still a tiny bit inferior compared to me.’

"Let’s go." Once Phoenix’s figure vanished from sight, Isaac let out a long breath, stretched his limbs, and then flew onward with Smith.

The Endless Sea certainly lived up to its name. It was vast. Isaac had sent out all his Dimension Apostles, but so far, none had found an island to rest on, to say nothing of the Water Tornado that connected the two worlds.

Of course, this was partly because Isaac hadn’t been here very long, and the Dimension Apostles flew rather slowly, so they naturally couldn’t cover much ground.

And so, after flying over the vast, empty ocean for two days, Isaac and Smith finally...

...gave up and returned to their territory through the Dimension World.

There was no other choice. The open sea was just too monotonous. There was nothing but the horizon in every direction. Furthermore, the sea seemed to be shrouded by some sort of special Concept that rendered all telescope-like Magic useless. They could only rely on their naked eyes, and the sense of solitude...

It truly wasn’t something an ordinary person could endure.

Of course, Isaac *could* have endured it if he had to. He was a High-level Mage, after all; he had that much mental fortitude.

But the crucial point was, there was absolutely no need for him to do such grunt work himself. Tasks with no technical skill involved were best left to the Dimension Apostles. As for the Water Tornado in his territory...

’Well, that had nothing to do with me from the start. I’ll just leave it to my older brother Caesar to negotiate. I just need to keep focusing on my research.’

’A person should do the work that suits them. That’s how a smart person acts.’

...

「Three days later.」

Isaac stared blankly at a pile of research manuscripts. He had returned to his territory intending to dive into his research, but he’d just been sitting there for three days straight. For three days, his mind had been blank, and he’d made zero progress...

This was one of the minor drawbacks—if you could even call it that—of the [Analysis] Authority. Its data analysis capability was so powerful that when tackling certain difficult problems, his own inspiration couldn’t keep up. That was exactly Isaac’s current situation.

’My mind is empty. My inspiration has been completely wrung dry by [Analysis]...’

SIGH...

After a long moment, Isaac heaved a deep sigh and stood up. ’Since I have no more inspiration in this area, I’ll just have to switch to a different research project. The others are looking into it too, so I’ll find out what’s what when we all meet up later.’

Getting up from his desk, Isaac walked slowly toward a room on this floor of the Mage Tower, a room sealed by powerful Magic. As he went, he continuously layered Defense Magic upon himself.

With each of Isaac’s steps, layer after layer of powerful Magic Seals slowly came undone. Once he stepped inside, the seals closed once more.

It was no wonder Isaac was being so cautious. Sealed within this room was the Divine Fragment he had obtained from Evans!

It was directly related to his and Evans’ God Creation project—a top secret among top secrets. No amount of caution could be considered excessive.

Isaac actually had several other research projects on his plate, but none of them were related to Deities in any significant way—or at least, not in any *normal* way.

He chose to work on this for two reasons. First, the God Creation project was one of his most important research subjects. Second, he felt that his research into stealing the Divine Power of the God of Credit wasn’t progressing smoothly. Beyond his current lack of inspiration, he suspected another major factor was his insufficient reserves of Knowledge.

And what better way to expand one’s Knowledge of Deities than by studying the corpse of one!

Although it was merely a fragment from a Deity’s corpse, its essence was the same. Perhaps it would lead to a new revelation.

Filled with this hope, Isaac entered the room and saw the heavily sealed Divine Blood—a single drop of golden liquid, floating in mid-air!

Compared to Isaac’s setup, Evans’s Refined Gold Box was practically crude.

But Isaac had good reason to be this careful. After all, this drop of golden Divine Blood, now radiating terrifying Divine Power, had been nothing more than a faint bloodstain with very limited power back when it was with Evans.

What Isaac had here now, however, was Divine Blood that he had activated by sacrificing a large quantity of Artificial Divine Format. In a way, the two were now things from different dimensions.

The simplest distinction was this: the original Divine Blood was merely a valuable research material. This current drop, however, was indistinguishable from true Divine Blood—it could be used to create the Divine Favored!

In large enough quantities, a new Deity could even be born from it!

Of course, without the guidance of special Magic, the chances of that were extremely low.

Still, that didn’t stop Isaac from sealing it away with such extreme caution.

Standing in the room, surrounded by layers of Magic Seals, Isaac first carefully observed the drop of golden blood floating in the air. A faint light then flickered in his eyes as he fully activated his [Analysis] Authority and began to analyze the data of the Divine Blood.

Then, the next moment...

!!!

Isaac’s eyes rolled back in his head, and he instantly collapsed to the ground, unconscious!
