Chapter 295: Chapter 222: Great Arcanist Mensa Pays a Visit

Stepping out of the High Tower, Isaac glanced at the excited expressions on his companions’ faces. He raised an eyebrow, waved the approval document in his hand, and said with a smile, "Gentlemen, our time is almost here!"

Hearing Isaac’s slightly audacious words, the group exchanged glances and shared a knowing smile. While it was a bit of an exaggeration...

They thought so too!

"Which Mage Tower is ours?"

"B-386," Isaac said happily, raising his eyebrows.

"B386? That’s such a low number? It seems the higher-ups are quite confident in our research project," Siwal said, a little surprised.

None of the Mage Towers for his previous project applications had ever had such a low number.

"After all, this is *our* project." Isaac waved the document in his hand again, then casually summoned a pumpkin carriage and boarded it first. The others exchanged smiles and followed him.

At that moment, the group, who had only just met, suddenly felt a flicker of camaraderie. Even if the feeling was still faint, it was a good start.

At least for Isaac, it was a good start.

Before long, Isaac and his party flew through the dark Dimension Space and arrived at a small island floating in the Void. A towering, pure white Mage Tower stood upon it. The pumpkin carriage circled in the air once before landing gently in front of the Mage Tower.

The moment Isaac and the others stepped out of the carriage, the Magic Servants building a nearby Teleportation Gate bowed slightly before resuming their work.

This Teleportation Gate had two functions. The first was to allow travel within the Dimension; it connected to most of the other Teleportation Gates, allowing one to travel here directly from almost anywhere inside.

The second function was to act as an Anchor Point, allowing Isaac and his group to arrive here directly the next time they entered the Dimension, without any detours.

Isaac was quite curious about this technology. With it, he could begin to develop his own Dimension World, and his Wizard Organization would gain a vast logistical space.

Unfortunately, this technology was a core secret of the Sect. He couldn’t obtain it even after being promoted to a High-level Mage, or even by trading Dimension Fruits for it. Therefore, he could only study it slowly on his own.

He wasn’t in a great hurry, though. His Wizard Organization was just getting started—it didn’t even have a name yet. Settling into a Dimension World was still a long way off.

So he had plenty of time to study it at his own pace.

As for now...

...he would first focus on the research into the ’Privilege’ Casting Technique. That thing provided a massive boost to a High-level Mage’s combat power!

This was especially true for Isaac. After all, even if the results were shared among all High-level Mages, no one else could possibly research Privilege Magic as quickly as he could!

Inside the Wizard Tower, the group quickly divided the space. The first and second floors would serve as activity areas for Tier One and Tier Two Wizards. The third floor would be a library, with its initial collection provided by the founding members and later expanded by other Wizards.

Naturally, in the process of donating books, they would earn contribution points, which could be exchanged for magic stones or guidance from Isaac and his group.

As for the floors above, it was naturally one floor per person, though there wasn’t much point in that. After all, they were all High-level Mages with their own Mage Towers where they conducted their most important research. The laboratory here was just for show.

After briefly dividing up the territory, Isaac and the others began to delegate research tasks.

Generally, research groups composed of High-level Mages had three methods. The first was to break down the entire project, with each member independently responsible for a portion. They would then meet periodically to consolidate their findings and track progress to ensure they didn’t stray from the objective.

The second was to establish a broad direction, after which each High-level Mage would research from different angles based on their own areas of expertise. Any method was acceptable, as long as the ultimate goal was correct.

The third was for everyone to research separately while following the same plan. They would meet periodically to share their progress and fill in any gaps in their own understanding.

None of these three methods was inherently the best; there was only the most suitable one. After all, not every project could be broken down or approached from multiple angles.

Isaac’s research, for example, absolutely could not be broken down. Splitting it up would be a recipe for disaster. Nor were there multiple angles to approach it from. Most importantly, this was a project targeting a True God. If they worked on it in pieces, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Isaac could vouch for his own carefulness, but he couldn’t guarantee the others were as cautious as him.

Therefore, they had to choose the third option: everyone would research according to the same plan. This method had the highest fault tolerance, because during their regular meetings, Isaac could use his Golden Finger to subtly guide the research direction and prevent things from spiraling out of control.

However, as the one who had formulated the research plan, Isaac still had a few things he needed to make clear to them.

This was mainly about certain methods and procedures during the research process. A single misstep could cause the whole thing to blow up in their faces.

After a brief explanation, the mages departed the Dimension World and returned to their respective Mage Towers. For now, this was the only joint research project they shared.

As for the promises Isaac had made when recruiting them... those would naturally have to wait until this project was complete.

...

Back in the Real World, Isaac looked at the pile of research materials on his desk and smiled faintly. There was a lot to do, but he was truly enjoying this fulfilling and busy life.

After a brief moment of reflection, Isaac once again buried himself in his research. He was focusing on two main areas: the theft of the God of Credit’s Divine Power and the practical application of the Path of the Ten Thousand Spirits.

The Path of the Ten Thousand Spirits project had already begun with Ten Thousand Spirits Transformation 1.0. Its fusion base was the Slime, a creature known as the most useless Tier One Demon. It possessed Tier One Magic Power, but its combat strength was lower than even a Non-Rank goblin.

That’s right, a Slime.

The fusion base for Ten Thousand Spirits Transformation 1.0 was the most useless Demon of all: the Slime!

It wasn’t the High-level Demon or the Pure-blooded Giant Dragon that Isaac had originally envisioned...

Those two transformations were the ones Isaac had originally devised. High-level Demons were said to possess infinite possibilities; new species appeared every year, and the books cataloging all the Demon species and their abilities were now numerous enough to fill an entire Library Pavilion!

It was an absurd number!

And while Pure-blooded Giant Dragons didn’t have that same near-infinite evolutionary potential, they had a vast number of subspecies!

Pure-blooded Giant Dragons were outrageously promiscuous. They’d screw anything, and the crucial part was, they could produce Dragon Species with *anything*...

In the archives of the Flesh Sect, Isaac had even seen records of Dragon Descendants born of an Earth Elemental Spirit and a Fire Elemental Spirit...

And the records explicitly stated they were not the product of magical experiments, nor were they created by bathing in Dragon Blood. They were born from natural copulation and reproduction!

He had no idea how those Giant Dragons managed to get it on with what was, for fuck’s sake, rock and fire!

Just thinking about it made Isaac feel they were perverted!

And terrifying!

That was why Isaac had initially chosen them as the base. Unfortunately, he had still failed...

Of course, in his subsequent analysis, Isaac came to a rough understanding. It was because the bloodline Level of Dragons and Demons was too high. Their Erosive power was strong, making them well-suited for creating servant armies, but as a base for the body of All Spirits... they were not suitable.

That was why Isaac’s subsequent research gradually shifted toward Low Level Demons. Of course, the fact that he only had data on them was another reason...

But a Slime... still took Isaac by surprise!

Unfortunately, before Isaac could officially begin his research, the arrival of an uninvited guest interrupted his study of the Slime transformation...

"Lord Mensa? Why have you come in person? Is something the matter?"

In his castle, Isaac’s eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at the sudden arrival of Great Arcanist Mensa, but he quickly put on a smile as he spoke.

"Two things. First, the number of Demonic Puppets was rather large, so I brought them over to you. Second... a group of Cultists targeting the Empire Royal Family has recently appeared within the Empire. Your research on the Outer Gods is quite deep, so I’ll have to trouble you with this."

Mensa said, his words carrying a hidden meaning.
