Chapter 292: Chapter 221: An Unexpected Gain: The Transformation School’s Ultimate Answer—All Spirits

It needed enough fantastical Magical Creatures, and it had to be something that could spread easily...

The moment this requirement was stated, several stories popped into Isaac’s mind: from the East, Mountains and Seas; from the West, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland; and the globally popular Pokemon.

To be honest, all three stories were quite good. Though they came from different cultures, the differences weren’t actually that great. The appeal of such tales lies in the sense of wonder their various fantastical Magical Creatures evoke in readers. The only thing was that Mountains and Seas would need to be translated into a more modern, colloquial style.

However, through Fiona, Isaac also came to a realization. ’So... fantasy and Legends can actually be combined with my own Magic System?’

You couldn’t really blame Isaac for this. After all, he had too many ways of acquiring abilities, and his Magic Ability System changed so rapidly that his accumulation of fantasy and Legends simply couldn’t keep pace.

Of course, more importantly, the conversion of fantasy and Legends into actual abilities had its limits, making it far less convenient than the rituals for dealing with Evil Gods.

That was why Isaac had never really considered this path. For him, fantasy and Legends were typically just a means to broaden the scope of his research.

And so, three days later, Isaac successfully delivered three stories into Fiona’s hands: Mountains and Seas: Full Chapter, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland: Full Chapter, and Part of Pokemon.

The reason the latter was only a partial work was because Isaac, in his past life, had never played the games. He had only seen the anime—and just a portion of it at that, having missed many of the later seasons. Therefore, even with the formidable memory retrieval ability of a High-level Mage, he couldn’t fully reconstruct it.

After all, the prerequisite for retrieval is to have seen it in the first place, even if only fleetingly.

But even though one was only a partial work, when Isaac placed them in Fiona’s hands, she was still utterly stunned. She stared at him, dumbfounded. ’He wrote three works of this caliber in a mere three days?’ ℴℴ𝘮

’You must have plagiarized them!’

However, the thought lingered in Fiona’s mind for only a second before she dismissed it. As soon as she took hold of the three stories, the Witchcraft Contract she had with Isaac activated. If these stories had already existed and been circulated in the world, the Witchcraft Contract would not have reacted.

So...

"You... you were truly born to walk the path of a Legendary Mage!" Fiona said, looking at Isaac with a complex expression. ’And on top of it all, this guy is a Mad Witch!’

Hearing this, Isaac just smiled and said nothing. Compared to being a Legendary Mage, he actually felt he was better suited to the path of an Arcanist. After all, it was in an Arcanist’s experimental research that his Golden Finger could be used to its greatest potential.

After all, Arcanists could become Mad Witches too; it just wasn’t very common.

But dwelling on that now was meaningless. Isaac himself had no innate talent for Magic Power, so he could only walk the path of a Legendary Mage. Besides this path, there was currently no other known way for an Ordinary person to safely obtain Magic Power.

At least, Isaac hadn’t discovered any other methods so far. It was as if all other paths had been... sealed off.

But that had little to do with Isaac. He already had Magic Power, and he had a relatively safe method for cultivating Legendary Mages... right?

Possibly.

So he wasn’t too worried about such matters. Right now, he was only concerned with one thing!

"So, will you join my research group?" Isaac asked with a slight smile.

Fiona sighed and nodded. "That’s not a problem at all. However, I have a favor to ask, if I may..."

As she spoke, a blush crept onto her delicate face. She said, a little embarrassed, "I want all three stories. I can trade you some Magic in exchange for the other two, would that be alright?"

Isaac had been about to act magnanimously and just tell her to take them, since they would have plenty of magical exchanges in the future. But the words died on his lips, because as Fiona finished speaking, she produced a Magic Book titled—Essentials of Transformation Magic!

The Transformation Stream, an extremely rare school within the Transformation Magic Faction, was notorious for being difficult to learn, expensive to practice, and weak in combat. Theoretically, a school riddled with so many flaws should have been eliminated ages ago.

The reality, however, was that this flawed school, while constantly hovering on the brink of obsolescence, had, according to historical records, been doing so for nearly a thousand years!

This was clearly not normal. Aside from a few hobbyists with peculiar tastes, there had to be some deeper reasons for its persistence.

That was why Isaac had always been extremely curious about the Transformation Stream.

Yes, even though he was already a High-level Mage, Isaac still felt like a country bumpkin in the Magic Domain. He was curious about many Magic Factions, but his energy was limited. Even with the help of his "cheat," he could only prioritize learning what was most important and what was readily accessible.

So when Fiona presented him with Essentials of Transformation Magic, he swallowed the words he had been about to say.

From this, however, he was almost certain of one thing: Fiona’s own Core Magic was, in all likelihood, Imaginary Number Magic!

This, in turn, only made him more curious about Imaginary Number Magic.

Yes, Isaac was just that insatiably greedy. However, it was clearly not a good idea to target Fiona, so he planned to do some research, find out which Outer God specialized in Imaginary Number Magic, and look for a chance to... scavenge a bit.

"Alright, deal. Take them," Isaac said, nodding. He accepted the Magic Book from Fiona, gave it a cursory glance, and put it away.
