Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters
Chapter 482 - 200: If I Summon Abyssal Creatures Again, I’m a Sutle Dog
In that brief moment, a thousand thoughts raced through his mind.
It would take a very long time to reach the heights of Death God Olanir by relying solely on his own efforts to grow stronger.
Since the clown could summon Abyssal Creatures at any time, it was better to kill and devour one each day. That was far better than just sitting around, waiting for the corrosive rewards from accumulating killing intent.
"Ghost."
"Adagua!"
The four origin sub-bodies lunged forward with mouths agape, not letting even a single drop of blood go to waste as they completely devoured the Mutated Altho Beast.
[You have used Soul-Devouring Magic to devour the origin of the Mutated Altho Beast. Your origin has been enhanced. Evaluation: An excessively nauseating scene. Special Reward: Origin +2.]
"Er..."
The clown stared intently at Wei’en. His eyes were deathly still and his face was calm, but his large red nose trembled slightly. It was impossible to know what he was thinking.
After a long silence, the clown pulled a handkerchief from his breast pocket, wiped the bloodstains off his body, and said calmly, "It is their honor to be able to increase your strength."
"Then I must thank you for your help, Mr. Leonard," Wei’en said sincerely, bowing slightly. "Without your assistance, my strength wouldn’t have grown so quickly."
Leonard: "..."
’If I summon another Abyssal Creature for him, then I’m a Sutle Dog!’
’Does he really think the Lord of the Abyss is some useless decoration? One dies every day—won’t I be flayed alive when he finds out?’
But thoughts were just thoughts. The clown looked at Wei’en and asked earnestly, "Are you sure this is effective?"
"Of course," Wei’en said, deactivating his blood-boiling state. "The Ghost Soul School’s Meditation Technique offers many conveniences."
The clown nodded thoughtfully. "During the Third Era, the Wizards of the Ghost Soul School were indeed very active. Back then, they would frequently involve themselves in conflicts all over, even intentionally stirring up trouble between people..."
"Is that so?"
"But I also remember that many of the Ghost Mages who enhanced their strength by devouring origins later vanished without a trace, never to be seen again."
’Vanished?’
Wei’en asked impassively, "Did they die?"
"It’s unclear."
Leonard waved his hand, summoning an ornate dining table and chair. He picked up a wine glass from the table, poured some red wine into it, and took a sip.
Then, he took another sip.
"And?" Wei’en waited a moment, but when he saw Leonard had no intention of speaking again, he couldn’t help but ask.
"That’s your business," Leonard said, leaning back in his chair without looking up. "Besides, I never associated with those disgusting bags of bones. I only know that they were later hunted across the world by the Sun Church, and eventually, who knows what corner they hid themselves in."
’Sun Church? Hunted?’
Wei’en mulled it over for a few seconds before deciding not to ask any more about the Ghost Soul School. He changed the subject to the Sun Church. "In the current era, there’s no one from the Sun Church, not even a single record of them. Is it because of Dawn?"
"The Dawn Church, the Sun Church—it doesn’t matter! None of it is your concern!"
Leonard’s tone was calm. "You only need to remember one thing: the existence of the True God Churches has indeed made an indelible contribution to this world."
"Oh? Including the gods they speak of?"
"Of course. That goes for both Orpheus and Beltrice."
[You have learned the name of Lady Storm Beltrice. Beltrice’s attention toward you +1. Current Rank: 723. Evaluation: Beltrice, ah, what a crazy... Special Reward: Origin +5.]
’Lady Storm Beltrice?’
"Can I know what specific contributions they made?"
"How would I know?" Leonard looked up, his scarlet eyes fixed on him. He set down his wine glass and said, "I only know that this world still exists, and that’s all the proof you need!"
Wei’en frowned. ’Does this clown not know anything?’
"Of course I’m not omnipotent. In fact, ever since I was... turned into a taboo object, I’ve spent most of my time either asleep or drinking away my boredom."
Leonard poured another glass of red wine, the face behind his mask devoid of expression. "However, there is one thing I must remind you of."
"Go on."
"Tina’s appearance is not a good omen. And the fact that the girl has mastered the Calamity Origin is certainly not a good thing. So, what I need to remind you is..."
Leonard drained the red wine from his glass. "You had best pay attention to any unusual occurrences, especially those that happen to you personally."
"Hm?"
Wei’en’s brow furrowed again. "Are you saying misfortune will shroud me?"
"Yes," Leonard said, then shook his head. "She has already mastered the Calamity Origin. Misfortune won’t just be *around* you. That woman will take action."
’That woman...’
"Tina Lilith Leonard?"
