"Enough!" Boras, seated at the head of the table, raised a hand to cut off their argument. "Quatmoc Stevenson," he said, his tone cold, "just as Josue said, this meeting is to discuss how to deal with the Dawn Church, not to focus our attention on Wei’en."

Josue was inwardly delighted. "Teacher is right," he said. "The issue isn’t Wei’en himself, but the fact that he’s provoked the Dawn Church. We need to come up with a strategy to protect him."

"Protect him?" The Zombie Mage Quatmoc sneered. "With what? That’s the Judgement Saintess, a Legendary-level Holy Professional. Even if we sent a Legendary Mage, there’s no guarantee they could protect him. You can’t possibly want to bring out the Forbidden Items just for him, can you?"

"Silence!"

Boras lightly tapped the table. The sound wasn’t loud, but the entire hall fell silent instantly.

Aside from the few who had contact with Wei’en, the other Wizards all had their arms crossed, looking as if it had nothing to do with them.

As for the Zombie Mage Quatmoc, although he was inwardly cursing this teacher-student pair for putting on an act, he also shut his mouth tightly, not daring to speak again.

Wei’en upgraded the newly imprinted spells to level four in one go before choosing to advance to Advanced Mage. The process wiped out half of his survival points, leaving him with just 13,500.

’For now, this is as much as I can upgrade. Aside from Heart of Flesh and Blood, all the spells on my panel are now level four or five. The survival points required are too high, so I’ll have to save up more before I can continue.’

Still, the result was good. He was one step closer to becoming a Great Mage.

Thinking of this, Wei’en took out another sheet of parchment and, using the Gonzalez language, chose to exchange for a Wizard’s notes on advancing to Great Mage...
