While Selena and her group were pondering how to mend their relationship with Andre, he, on the other hand, was dealing with a massive headache.

"Come here, Seven Rings!"

Andre watched helplessly as Seven Rings had the time of his life playing with Potato.

Ever since Andre let him out of the Servant Bag, Seven Rings had become abnormally excited, running all over the place.

He had turned the forest in front of the Wizard Inheritance Hall into a complete mess.

More than ten trees had been knocked down during his rampage.

And now, Potato had started to join Seven Rings in the mischief.

However, Andre had a Honeycomb and an Earth Element Crystal, two things that could easily lure Potato back. But Seven Rings wouldn’t listen to him at all.

Left with no choice, Andre activated the Earth and Stone Manipulation Witchcraft to trap Seven Rings. He then walked over and, while his pet was ramming against the earthen wall, recalled him back into the Servant Bag.

"That should quiet you two down."

Andre patted Potato’s head. Potato looked up at Andre, bewildered.

Seeing Potato’s dazed little expression, the corners of Andre’s mouth couldn’t help but curve into a smile. He then took out a piece of Honeycomb.

The light returned to Potato’s dull eyes, and it immediately began pawing at Andre, begging for the treat.

"You, when will your Soul ever mature?"

Andre stuffed the Honeycomb into Potato’s mouth and led him back to his room to begin studying Demon Patterns.

For him right now, the fastest subject for accumulating Truth was Demon Patterns, followed by Magic Potions, and finally, Magic Plants.

Back in the room, Potato, with the Honeycomb in its mouth, scurried over to the Magic Stone hut and lay down, occasionally rubbing against the nearby Magic Stones.

’If only Seven Rings could be as quiet as Potato.’

Andre sighed helplessly as he watched Potato.

But he didn’t plan on blaming Seven Rings. His hyperactive personality was a product of his Dragon Race Bloodline.

The Dragon Race Bloodline had one particular trait: a greed that was etched into their very bones.

Giant Dragons and the Dragon Beasts they sired shared a common trait: they loved to collect items rich in Magic Power.

They would take any item rich in Magic Power without hesitation—be it Magic Plants, Magic Stones, special ores, or even Elemental Crystals like the Earth Element Crystal. The Dragon Race adored them all.

This behavior was determined by another characteristic of the Dragon Race.

They could absorb the Magic Power from these items through the scales and skin covering their bodies.

This process didn’t stop even when a dragon was asleep.

Therefore, to make themselves more powerful, the Dragon Race Bloodline developed the trait of greed.

And in order to collect these items, Giant Dragons would often travel the world in search of them.

In the process of their search, relying on their immense Power, Giant Dragons would often clash with others, killing or injuring them before snatching away their Magic Stones or other items containing Magic Power.

Seven Rings’ hyperactive nature was merely the initial manifestation of this greedy trait.

’Changing Seven Rings’ personality is going to be a long and arduous task.’

Andre sighed, took a book from his Storage Ring, and continued to study the Demon Patterns recorded within.

Thanks to his previous accumulation of knowledge on Demon Patterns, Andre could now grasp the secrets of these basic patterns with just a single glance.

And so he studied, for a whole month.

During that month, Andre would sometimes stay in his room, reading books and accumulating Truth. Other times, he would take Potato and Seven Rings to the Task Hall to accept missions and get a feel for what was happening outside.

It was also a way for Potato and Seven Rings to blow off some steam.

A month later, Andre was on his way to the market. ’Time really flies!’

It was now a new year. Unfortunately, the Wizards had little interest in celebrating, and the academy grounds seemed rather deserted.

’All in all, I’ve been at the academy for almost a year!’

Andre walked down the road, a hint of worry on his face as he looked up at the sun.

Over the past month, he had thoroughly mastered the basic Demon Patterns. Now, he was studying the Special Demon Patterns that came after the basics.

These Special Demon Patterns involved other Wizard Schools, including the Life Demon Pattern, Death Demon Pattern, Soul Demon Pattern, Destruction Demon Pattern, and Mind Demon Pattern, among others.

However, most Special Demon Patterns were variations of the basic ones. Some of these variants were powerful, while others were weak.

But to climb the Ladder of Truth, one needed to have some understanding of all these Demon Patterns.

After all, Witchcraft in the Wizard World wasn’t limited to just the Witchcraft of the Energy School; there were many other kinds as well.

As his research into Special Demon Patterns deepened, he came into contact with the Demon Patterns of another major school within the Energy School.

These were called Mechanical Demon Patterns, and they were the foundation for Mechanical Wizards.

Mechanical Demon Patterns were vastly different from the Elemental Demon Patterns he had studied before, such as Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, Thunder, Ice, Light, and Dark.

Mechanical Demon Patterns were less like Demon Patterns and more like prototypes for Witch Arrays, or perhaps Witchcraft Artifacts.

Once inscribed, they would automatically gather Magic Power from the air and transform their host medium, turning it into various kinds of parts.

It was because of this trait that Mechanical Wizards were a relatively powerful branch within the Energy School.

And it was also because of this trait that some young Mechanical Wizards were clamoring to split off from the Elemental Mages.

In their view, Mechanical Wizards and Elemental Mages were now two completely different schools.

Elemental Mages were the most ancient type of Wizard. They needed to constantly accumulate Magic Power within their bodies, then use their Spiritual Power to release it through a Witchcraft Curse Seal, forming various kinds of Witchcraft.

Mechanical Wizards, on the other hand, assembled mechanical parts inscribed with Mechanical Demon Patterns into a Witchcraft Array, which they then used to cast different kinds of Witchcraft.

Furthermore, Mechanical Demon Patterns could be combined with each other, linking mechanical parts together to form a much more powerful Mechanical Combat Body, allowing them to engage in close combat—something Elemental Mages were not good at.

Moreover, these mechanical parts could be placed directly on the ground to form different Witch Arrays.

Compared to the expensive materials Elemental Mages needed to set up a Witch Array, the cost for a Mechanical Wizard was far lower.

It was this series of characteristics that led many young Mechanical Wizards to demand that they be recognized as a new, separate school from the Elemental Mages.

However, due to suppression from the older generation, the young Mechanical Wizards’ efforts had not yet succeeded, which led to much grumbling among them.

But Mechanical Wizards were not without their flaws. They were limited by the host medium for their Mechanical Demon Patterns. This meant that the cost of breaking through to higher levels was several times that of other Wizards.

It was precisely for this reason that the older generation of Mechanical Wizards was reluctant to separate their school from the Energy School.

In their opinion, Mechanical Wizards and Elemental Mages were the best of teammates.

Mechanical Wizards possessed powerful defenses that Elemental Mages often lacked, while Elemental Mages had greater Attack Power. Combining the two could significantly reduce danger.

At the same time, many Mechanical Demon Patterns were themselves derived from Elemental Demon Patterns.

Many powerful Mechanical Wizards were also powerful Elemental Mages themselves.

If the schools suddenly split, their identities would become a difficult question.

Would they be Mechanical Wizards, or Elemental Mages?

It was these unresolved issues that led to the current distorted attitude of the Mechanical Wizard School toward the Elemental Mage School.

The conflict between the Mechanical Wizard School and the Elemental Mage School didn’t affect Andre.

What truly interested Andre about the Mechanical Wizard School was the Mechanical Demon Patterns.

He discovered that, compared to other Demon Patterns, Mechanical Demon Patterns allowed for a faster accumulation of Truth.

And it was for this reason that Andre wanted to study Mechanical Demon Patterns.

But in the White Sea Wizard Academy, the number of Mechanical Wizards was pitifully small. Not a single one was stationed at the Senbai Wizard’s Time branch campus. This meant Andre could only rely on his own research of the records in books.

’If only I had a physical object to compare it with!’

When Andre arrived at the market, the worried look on his face instantly vanished. Just like before, he laid out his Potions and began to sell them.
