Chapter 390: Chapter 391: Help from Mythology

’First, I need to define what creation is, and what destruction is.’

’Under what conditions does something become creation, or destruction.’

Seeing that the System could no longer accumulate Truth, Andre immediately prepared to create a Demon Pattern.

But a Demon Pattern couldn’t just be created casually; an anchor point had to be established.

’My anchor point is my Chaos Magic Power. That much is easy to determine.’

’The anchor is set. Time to begin.’

Andre took a deep breath, and a massive amount of Magic Power surged from his body, enveloping him completely.

’What is he doing?’

Antaromen watched Andre from the side, not understanding the purpose of his actions.

’Chaos... According to the teachings from my past life, Chaos begets Taiji, Taiji begets the two polarities, the two polarities beget the four phenomena, and the four phenomena beget the eight trigrams.’

’But in this world, there is no Taiji, nor are there eight trigrams. Only the four phenomena exist.’

’Earth, wind, water, and fire—the Four Great Elements.’

’So, I must adapt the knowledge from my past life to the environment of this world, making it a better fit.’

’But how do I adapt it?’

Andre blinked, pondering this point. In his previous life, the creation myths of different countries were all different.

Some were very crude, like Indian Mythology, Greek Mythology, and Nordic Mythology. They were incredibly crude.

Among these three, the crudest of all was Indian Mythology.

Everything was just the dream of a single being. Whatever it dreamed of, the world became.

Slightly better than the Indian myths was Nordic Mythology. But in reality, Nordic Mythology wasn’t much better.

In Nordic Mythology, the world was primordial.

In this primordial world, the first to be born was a cow, followed by the progenitor of the Giants. This progenitor of Giants, Ymir, began to grow by feeding on the cow’s milk.

The progenitor of the All Gods, Buri, was frozen within a massive glacier.

The cow licked the glacier away, allowing Buri, the progenitor of the All Gods, to appear in the world. Afterward, the Giant progenitor Ymir gave birth to more Giants from his armpits and other parts of his body.

After that, the progenitor of the Giants and the progenitor of the All Gods began a great war over the primordial cow.

In the end, the Giant progenitor Ymir was killed by the combined efforts of Odin and his brothers. His body then formed several special races, such as the Elf Race and the Dwarf race. After that came the structure of the Nine Realms.

Judging from the creation stories of these two mythologies, they were of no help to Andre in creating his own Creation and Destruction Demon Patterns.

Andre could only turn his thoughts to the creation myth of Greece.

But Andre only thought about it for a moment before stopping.

Because Greek Mythology was no help to him either.

In Greek Mythology, the first Divine Spirit was Chaos.

Therefore, Chaos also represented the primordial Chaos Void.

Subsequently, the Earth Goddess Gaia, the Hell Abyss God Tartarus, and the God of Love Eros were each born independently.

There was no relationship between these Four Great Divine Spirits. If one had to force a connection between them, it could only be said that they were all born in the same space.

There were no other connections.

After the Four Great Divine Spirits were born one after another, Chaos alone gave birth to the Netherworld God Erebus and the Night God Nix.

This brother and sister pair united to produce the Celestial Light God Aether and the Daylight God Hemera.

At this point, the Greek mythological system began to take shape.

The story that follows is quite simple.

Gaia then independently gave birth to Uranus, Pontus, and the Cong Mountains.

After that, Greece’s story became one of sons killing fathers and fathers swallowing sons.

’Besides these three relatively famous mythologies, what other myths could help me?’

Andre thought continuously, constantly recalling the myths from his past life.

Soon, Andre recalled three more mythologies from his past life: Mayan Mythology, Egyptian Mythology, and Persian Mythology.

Egyptian Mythology was similar to Greek Mythology.

The difference was that Egyptian Mythology didn’t have as much of the ridiculous bullshit as Greek Mythology.

In Egyptian Mythology, the most primordial and powerful god was Ra.

Ra was initially serpent-shaped, formed in the primordial waters of Nun, a self-created god.

After he was born, he created the god of air, Su, and the goddess of moisture, Tefnut, gradually constructing the basic framework of the world and becoming the Creator God.

Afterward, Egyptian Mythology, with Ra at its head, formed the Nine Gods Group, which later became known as the Nine Pillar Gods.

For this reason, the system of Egyptian Mythology was also unable to help Andre.

Although the system of Egyptian Mythology was very complete, and much more civilized than Greek Mythology, its power structure was still not clear enough.

In Egyptian Mythology, the so-called Divine Spirits were still primarily based on their domains of authority.

’Mayan Mythology.’

Andre then thought of Mayan Mythology, but he quickly gave up on it as well.

Because Mayan Mythology was very similar to Egyptian Mythology.

Egyptian Mythology has its Nine Pillar Gods, and Mayan Mythology has its group of nine gods.

These nine great Divine Spirits are the Celestial God, Itzamna.

In the earliest Mayan Mythology, he was depicted as a wise, white-bearded old man who ruled the sky and was the king of the gods.

The second Divine Spirit is the Rain God, Chuck. He can control the rain.

Because rain is inextricably linked to agriculture, Chuck was also called the guardian of agriculture by the ancient Maya people.

The Cloud God, Yum Kaax, is in charge of clouds. He and the Rain God Chuck are good brothers, and they work together to bring agricultural harvests to the ancient Maya.

The Suicide God, Ishib. Unlike in later major religions, like Christianity.

Mayan Mythology views death as the path to Heaven, so Ishib is also known as the guide.

In Christianity, however, suicide is a grave sin, and those who commit it are not eligible to enter Heaven.

The Death God, Ah Pu, is good brothers with another Divine Spirit, the War God.

Usually, these two Divine Spirits appear together. The War God is responsible for taking people’s lives, and the Death God is responsible for leading them to the world of the dead.

The Sacrificial God, Kekata, is the Divine Spirit in Mayan Mythology responsible for sacrifices, acting as a liaison between humans and gods.

The Pole Star God, Sam’an Ek. Because the Pole Star’s position relative to the Earth does not change, he is also known as the guide for merchants and travelers, the god of direction.

The Divine Queen, Ischel. She is the wife of the Celestial God Itzamna. She possesses two faces, one strong and one gentle, and is responsible for protecting women in childbirth and newborns. Therefore, she is also regarded as the goddess of children and women in Mayan Mythology. She holds a lofty position in Mayan Mythology.

The Wind God, Kukulcan. Many people find this name familiar when they hear it, but they just can’t recall which Divine Spirit it is.

And this Divine Spirit is the Feathered Serpent God of Mayan Mythology.
