Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 374 - 375: Magical Beast’s Lair
'This world... it's as if it's completely uncivilized.'
Andre stared at the scene before him, unable to make sense of it.
Normally, a Level 6 World should contain highly developed civilizations and races.
But this Barbaric Universe World before him seemed as if it had just been born, with life only just beginning to emerge.
'The first time I came to this world, I had to worry about being discovered. But now? It's like these creatures can't even see me.'
Andre watched an eagle flying toward him.
On the surface, the eagle was heading for him, but it quickly zipped past him at an incredible speed.
In the eagle's eyes, it was as if Andre didn't exist.
'Sigh... what on earth is going on!'
Andre continued to watch the scenery. By now, the jungle region had already passed beneath him.
Not long after leaving the jungle, the land before him suddenly rose up, forming a plateau.
On this plateau lived creatures resembling wild horses and giant elephants.
At the same time, many shrubs also grew on this plateau.
Andre could clearly see a giant beast lurking among the lush green shrubs.
Suddenly, a giant beast dashed out from the bushes, pouncing straight toward a herd of wild horses.
Its huge paws slammed into the ground, kicking up clouds of dirt.
Hearing the sound, the herd of wild horses scattered in an instant.
They didn't even stop to look, relying entirely on their instincts about predators.
Seeing its prey split up, the giant beast instantly changed its target, locking onto a young filly that had just been born.
Soon, the giant beast caught up to the filly.
Just as the giant beast opened its massive jaws, about to snap the filly's neck with its razor-sharp teeth...
The filly abruptly stopped in its tracks. The giant beast's inertia, from its enormous body, carried it forward for another dozen or so steps.
By the time the giant beast came to a halt and turned its head, the filly had already run into the shrubs and vanished without a trace.
Seeing its prey disappear, the giant beast wasn't discouraged. Instead, it kept shaking its head, sniffing for the scent of food.
'This giant beast... it looks a bit like a Wind-Splitting Lion!'
Andre watched the giant beast, constantly comparing it with the information in his mind.
After comparing for a moment, Andre found a Magical Beast called the Wind-Splitting Lion in his mind's database.
The Wind-Splitting Lion looked remarkably similar to this giant beast.
But a Wind-Splitting Lion would usually use its Talent Witchcraft when capturing prey.
Yet this giant beast didn't use any Talent Witchcraft; it was as if this hunt was just for play.
'Sigh, it's a pity I can't go down. Otherwise, I'd really have to get a closer look and see what species this giant beast is!'
Andre tried to wave his arms, but his entire body was enveloped by a mysterious power. He couldn't move any part of his body except for his head.
'I wonder where the master of this power is taking me.'
Andre looked at the ground, feeling completely helpless.
At this moment, the scene on the plateau changed again.
This time, it wasn't a Magical Beast resembling a Wind-Splitting Lion chasing a herd of wild horses, but a wolf pack starting to hunt a herd of deer.
'A Howling Wind Giant Wolf. It's a higher form of the Gale Giant Wolf, a Magical Beast produced when a Gale Giant Wolf's Bloodline reverts to its ancestral form.'
'And these deer... they look a bit like Three-Color Enchanted Deer, but also a bit like Li Deer.'
Andre watched the deer herd targeted by the Howling Wind Wolf Pack and shook his head.
He was too far away from these groups. Even though the entire landscape he saw was plateau terrain, he was still a great distance away due to his altitude.
Therefore, Andre could only just barely identify them.
'Sigh, how far have I flown!'
Andre looked ahead. The edge of the plateau had already appeared before him.
A moment later, he flew past the plateau.
When he flew past the plateau, an ocean appeared before him.
'Don't tell me it's taking me into the sea? How am I supposed to go into the sea like this?'
Andre looked at his current state, feeling completely helpless.
But the mysterious power continued to propel him forward.
This time, he didn't fly out from over the sea until the sun had set.
After he flew away from the sea, a plain appeared before Andre—a vast, boundless plain.
On this plain, large numbers of Magical Beasts were fighting and preying on one another, though some Demon Beast Races coexisted peacefully.
'Is this thing trying to make me tour the entire inner world?'
'Or is it to make up for the fact that I didn't get to see all the sights last time I was here?'
Andre gazed at the plain, truly at a loss for words, until a tall mountain appeared before him.
This tall mountain looked as if it had been meticulously carved, bit by bit, by an ancient Giant with a delicate tool.
Because this mountain didn't quite look like a mountain; it had three faces, each a perfect triangle.
The entire mountain looked like a very tall, slender pyramid.
When Andre saw this peculiar mountain, the mysterious power enveloping him began to slowly dissipate.
Finally, Andre was set down on the peak of this tall mountain.
'Where has it brought me?'
Andre climbed up from the ground and looked around.
As far as his eyes could see, there was nothing but white clouds.
At this altitude, a gentle breeze became a terrifying hurricane.
The immense power of the hurricane nearly threw Andre off the summit.
"Settle!" Andre felt the hurricane's power, his expression faltering for a moment. Then, with a rapid flurry of hand movements, he almost instantly cast two Witchcraft spells.
As these two Witchcraft spells were cast, Andre's legs began to rapidly turn to stone, eventually merging with the mountain peak.
And just as Andre's legs began to change, his upper body also transformed, becoming a form made of the Wind Element.
The reason Andre used these two completely opposite Witchcraft spells was to understand his current environment.
The wind could bring him information from afar, while the mountain beneath his feet would allow him to peer into the events that had once happened here.
'The Moon Nest... that's the nest of the Moon God Giant Eagle.'
Soon, through the information brought by the wind, Andre learned that above the mountain peak, near the world barrier, there was a nest.
And that nest belonged to none other than the Moon God Giant Eagle.
After learning this, Andre also used the Earth Birth Technique to learn everything about the mountain peak beneath his feet.
Among this information, Andre also came to understand the origin of this mountain peak. It was the lair of that wild boar.
