Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth

Chapter 372 - 373: Construction and Gestation

  • Next Chapter

After a moment of thought, Antaromen turned his attention to the worlds in the Star Realm.

The Star Realm can give birth to worlds ranging from Level 1 to Level 6.

Only Level 7 Worlds, equivalent to Level 8 Creatures, require a foundation of numerous Level 6 and Level 5 Worlds to be constructed.

Constructed, not born.

A constructed Level 7 World is still a Level 7 World, to be sure, but it is vastly different from a world born of the Star Realm.

A constructed Level 7 World doesn't have a complete world barrier. It only has a Witchcraft Barrier built from a Witchcraft Array.

Although the function of a Witchcraft Barrier is largely the same as a world barrier's, it lacks one of the most crucial features.

Namely, the ability to absorb Power from the Star Realm and convert it into Magic Power for the world.

Without this ability, a constructed Level 7 World cannot grow continuously like a world born from the Star Realm.

For a constructed Level 7 World to grow, more worlds must be fashioned into a Witchcraft Array and integrated into its Witchcraft Barrier.

This method expands the area enveloped by the Witchcraft Barrier step by step, thereby extending the Level 7 World's domain.

The sages of the Wizard World once devised many methods to try and simulate a world barrier's ability to absorb Power from the Star Realm.

But the results were always lacking. The devices they created were either mediocre, had abysmal conversion rates, required overly complex materials, or needed those precious materials to be constantly replaced.

The Wizard World has been continuously trying to improve upon these failed designs.

Yet, to this day, no viable solution or effective device has emerged.

The core of the problem is that as the Wizard Ancestral Land continues to expand across the Star Realm, its own territory also constantly swells.

As the Wizard Ancestral Land's territory expands, the area enveloped by the Witchcraft Barrier becomes enormous.

This means that by the time a new device is developed, it is already too small to be installed on the ever-expanding Witchcraft Barrier.

To address this, some in the Wizard World proposed manufacturing two complementary devices and then installing them simultaneously.

Wouldn't that be enough to cover the entire Wizard Ancestral Land?

However, this idea was proposed and then quickly rejected by the Wizard Supreme Alliance Council.

The reason is that the expansion of the Wizard Ancestral Land isn't regular; it's sporadic and sudden.

As for what "sudden" means... let's just say this.

Many of the Wizard Influences within the Wizard Ancestral Land are constantly exploring the Star Realm, launching expeditions to conquer other worlds.

After conquering these worlds, the Wizard Influences then pull them, one by one, back to the Wizard Ancestral Land.

During this process, the number and Level of the worlds conquered by each Wizard Influence vary.

Furthermore, at any given moment, some Wizard Influence is conquering another world and pulling it back to the Wizard Ancestral Land.

This means the territory of the Wizard Ancestral Land is expanding at every moment.

A device that could cover the entire Wizard Ancestral Land one moment would become functionally compromised the next due to the expansion.

In response, someone proposed a more detailed and comprehensive plan.

The idea was to distribute the blueprints and manufacturing methods for these supplementary devices to all the various Wizard Influences, allowing them to collectively complete the task.

When this plan was first proposed, many applauded it.

But soon, an even greater flaw in the plan emerged.

Namely, how could the devices, manufactured in such a decentralized way, be combined so that their Power could merge into a single, unified whole?

While the vast majority of Wizard Influences reside within the Wizard Ancestral Land, a significant number do not; they are based elsewhere.

Take, for instance, academies like the White Sea Wizard World.

How could one persuade such academies and influences to help manufacture these devices?

It was impossible. They were living comfortably in their own worlds and had no need for such things.

Of course, one could appeal to the greater good of the wizard race to pressure them into forcibly manufacturing the devices.

But even if the devices were manufactured, how could they be integrated into the existing Witchcraft Barrier?

As more and more worlds were pulled from the Star Realm by various Wizard Influences and added to the Wizard Ancestral Land, the structure of the Witchcraft Barrier grew increasingly complex.

Even now, it has reached a point where integrating each new world into the Witchcraft Barrier is a monumental challenge.

Integrating a new world sometimes even requires a Truth Great Wizard to personally oversee the process, just to ensure the new world doesn't damage the Witchcraft Barrier.

Simply integrating the worlds brought back by the Wizard Influences into the Witchcraft Barrier was already this difficult and troublesome.

To say nothing of integrating foreign objects into the Witchcraft Barrier.

Moreover, this was a project that would involve every world in the Wizard Ancestral Land. The sheer scale of the undertaking was such that even the Truth Limit Great Wizards of the Wizard Ancestral Land couldn't complete it quickly.

This was because the supplementary devices, once assembled, would themselves form a new Witchcraft Barrier.

It would be impossible for two Witchcraft Barriers to merge without conflict.

And if a conflict did occur, it would be detrimental to both.

If the new Witchcraft Barrier was damaged, it wouldn't be so bad. Its components would be destroyed, but they could simply be rebuilt.

But if the old one were damaged, it would be a catastrophe.

The old Witchcraft Barrier was built from entire worlds.

If something went wrong with the old Witchcraft Barrier, countless worlds within the Wizard Ancestral Land would suffer.

It could even lead to the large-scale annihilation of worlds.

Should such a thing happen, it would be an unprecedented blow to the entire Wizard Ancestral Land and the Wizard World as a whole.

The other three major powers, along with various other forces hostile to wizards, would certainly not miss such an opportunity. They would surely raise their armies and launch a joint attack on the Wizard Ancestral Land.

Faced with internal disaster and external enemies, the Wizard World's foundation could be severely shaken.

Therefore, after the Wizard Supreme Alliance Council carefully reviewed the proposal, it too was rejected.

The risk was simply too great!

'Could it be... that Andre can enable a Level 6 World to advance even further?!'

The bold thought surfaced in Antaromen's mind after a moment of contemplation.

Judging from the Barbaric Universe World's extreme craving for Chaos Magic Power, it was very likely true.
