Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 343 - 344: Devouring All Gods 2
"That's right. It's a grand plan. If it succeeds, the current state of Wizard Civilization will be greatly improved."
Andeta looked at Andre and nodded.
"You've read the history of the Wizard Civilization, haven't you?"
Andeta asked Andre, who nodded in reply.
"The earliest Wizards discovered the function of Demon Patterns by chance. They then gradually collected and utilized them."
"Afterward, as they used and combined Demon Patterns, Wizards came to understand their fundamental nature. They discovered the source of the Demon Patterns' power—Magic Power."
"Once Magic Power was discovered, the first Wizards began to search for ways to wield it themselves."
"Through these repeated attempts, a civilization began to sprout."
"As Wizards progressed step by step, things of vital importance to them began to appear. The Ladder of Truth, Meditation Techniques, Spirit Runes, and the pathways for circulating Magic Power within the body all emerged from the development of Wizard Civilization."
As Andeta spoke, he raised his right hand. A screen of light appeared in his palm, and with his words, a series of historical images scrolled across it.
"Later, as some Wizards reached their limits, they began to pursue even greater Power."
"In this process, Wizards constantly sought various methods to make themselves stronger."
"Some Wizards chose to hunt Magical Beasts, becoming stronger by analyzing their anatomy and the Witchcraft they wielded."
"Other Wizards chose to further study the Demon Patterns they had mastered."
"Following these different paths, more factions began to evolve among the Wizards, such as the Warlock path, which involved transplanting the Bloodlines of Magical Beasts, and the Natural Wizards, who chose to walk the path of patterns."
"During this process, a few lucky ones glimpsed the Laws and Rules behind Magic Power—what we Wizards call the Power of Truth."
"And so, they began to pursue these Laws and Rules, attempting to master them one by one."
"But the pursuit of greater Power came with greater risks. The vast majority of these lucky few died at the hands of this superior Power."
"This is the origin of the Morning Star Wizards."
"Faced with a terrifying death rate, Wizards realized that if things continued this way, very few would ever be able to master these special Powers."
"Therefore, they made more attempts to find better ways to merge with these Powers."
"Some chose to fuse with the Souls of Magical Beasts, while others merged their very bodies with Magic Plants. Still others chose to swallow items containing the Power of Truth whole, hoping that through such brutal methods, their bodies would adapt to and master these Powers."
"But these methods still came with significant hidden dangers."
"Wizards had no choice but to turn their attention to a higher level: the world itself."
"At this time, by a stroke of luck, the Witchcraft known as the Star Realm Gate was created."
"After this Witchcraft appeared, Wizards designated it as one of the top five greatest creations in the Wizard World."
"Afterward, Wizards began to travel to other worlds through the Star Realm Gate, attempting to learn the knowledge of these other worlds to better master the Power of Truth."
"In this process, some lucky individuals succeeded in realizing their dreams, but many more fell in the Otherworlds, becoming lonely, wandering spirits."
"It was during this time that Wizards discovered that other races in some worlds could create special spaces to help them cross this threshold."
"Thus, Wizards began to learn these special methods from those races. After mastering them, they experimented and modified them continuously, which finally led to the creation of the current Morning Star Technique."
"Once the Morning Star Technique appeared, the death rate for Wizards becoming Morning Star Wizards dropped by seventy percent."
"But a new problem arose. Wizards used the worlds they created to master greater Power and began to come into contact with the Power of Truth."
"However, the growth of a world is extremely slow. To accelerate a world's growth, one must pour vast amounts of resources into it."
"At first, resources were not particularly scarce in the Wizard World. But as the number of Wizards continued to swell, resources began to grow scarce."
"At that point, the Star Realm Gate once again became the focus of the Wizards' attention."
"Wizards began expeditions to other worlds, collecting their resources, technology, and knowledge to make themselves stronger. This is the origin of the Wizard Expeditions."
"But even with supplements from other worlds, the world development for Morning Star Wizards, and those above them—the Moonlight Mages and Red Sun Wizards—was still far too slow."
"Faced with this problem, Wizards began to explore more paths."
"For example, uniting with the forces of other races to attack the Bottomless Abyss and plunder the resources within the Abyss."
"They also plundered the worlds and resources controlled by other factions, becoming pirates of the Star Realm."
"But most of all, they tried to enrich their resources through research."
"The worlds you just saw are connected by special artifacts, forming one Witchcraft Array after another."
"This method increases the speed at which these worlds absorb power from the Star Realm, accelerating the rate at which they produce resources."
"But even so, it was still not enough to support the vast number of Wizards."
"To solve this problem once and for all, Wizards had to develop a better, more resource-efficient path."
"So, I turned my attention to the All Gods."
At this point, after the long-winded history of the Wizard Civilization, Andeta finally got to the details of his plan.
"The All Gods only need their Believers to worship and have faith in them. Through these Believers, they can then obtain a Power that isn't their own."
"If they can do it, why can't we?"
"Moreover, the All Gods have very low requirements for physical matter and materials. Everything they use is formed from the Divine Power generated by faith."
"Their only requirements are the degree of their Believers' faith and the number of Believers. And it is precisely this point that showed me an opportunity."
"What would it look like if Wizards could transfer the power of faith onto themselves?"
Andeta stated the purpose of his plan.
"Ancestor, in that case, wouldn't all Wizards become Divine Spirits?"
Andre didn't quite understand what Andeta meant.
"No. My plan is to have Believers help Wizards to better perceive the Power of Truth."
"Normally, a Wizard carves out their own world and has the Power of Truth to use as a reference."
"But this process is too slow, even when vast amounts of materials and resources are poured into the world."
"The world's expansion remains slow because it is limited by the Wizard themself."
"Their exploration of the Power of Truth is simply too slow. But if Believers could be turned into sensors to aid the Wizards, how much faster would it become?"
