Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 215: The Gale Gate Unleashes Its Power
Chapter 215: Chapter 215: The Gale Gate Unleashes Its Power
’These things are such a headache to deal with. They’re not just massive; their Life Energy is incredibly tenacious, and their Recovery Power is terrifyingly strong.’
Andre swung his Splitting Heavy Sword again, lopping off a giant serpent’s head, but the severed head continued to stare at him intently.
At the same time, the nerves in the serpent’s brain transmitted one last signal: to spray all the venom in its sacs at Andre.
Fortunately, thanks to his Chaos Magic Power, Andre wasn’t afraid of the potent venom.
Otherwise, the venom alone would have been enough to send him into a panic.
Even as a Master Alchemist, if faced with the venom from so many giant serpents, he would need to spend time concocting a specific Antidote Potion for each one.
This was because the venom’s composition depended on each serpent’s species and the food it had consumed.
Because of this, the venom from each serpent was completely different.
Fortunately, no matter how potent the venom, it couldn’t withstand the terrifying corrosive properties of his Chaos Magic Power.
In just a few breaths, the serpents’ venom was completely corroded away.
’If I hadn’t embarked on the path of Chaos Truth, killing all these serpents would have been a real chore.’
Andre strode through a puddle of venom, swung his sword, and lopped off a giant serpent’s head.
But this serpent had another head. Writhing in pain, it lunged, trying to bite Andre viciously.
Meanwhile, the stump where the head had been was already proliferating wildly, on the verge of growing a new one.
Andre dodged the bite, then raised his Splitting Heavy Sword. He brought it down hard right between the two heads, located the serpent’s heart, and churned it to pulp. Only then was the two-headed giant python finally dead.
Elsewhere, Karina brandished her Magic Staff, chanting Spells and unleashing a torrent of Witchcraft to help Andre by distracting the giant serpents.
She specifically targeted serpents that were at the same Realm as her.
Even so, the threat they posed to her was not to be underestimated.
"There are too many of these giant serpents."
After finally destroying a serpent’s head with an Arrow of Radiance, Karina looked over at the approaching Andre and shook her head.
Her forehead was beaded with sweat.
"Don’t tell me we’ve stumbled into their nest?"
Karina voiced the very thought Andre had just had.
"I don’t know," Andre said, looking at her. "But if we want to get out, our only option is to fight them until one side wins. Otherwise, we’ll just be worn down and killed here."
He took a large number of Potions from his Storage Ring and handed them to Karina to help her recover her Magic Power.
Then he flew off into the distance again and decapitated another giant serpent.
Karina stashed the Potions in her own Storage Ring, then took one out, bit off the stopper, and downed its contents.
As the Potion took effect, her depleted Magic Power began to recover rapidly.
’I refuse to believe it! After more than forty years of education in Witchcraft, I’m not going to die at the hands of some mindless Magical Beasts.’
Feeling her Magic Power rapidly returning, Karina dodged a serpent’s bite. She immediately swung her Magic Staff and conjured a Hammer of Radiance, smashing it fiercely onto the head of the serpent that had tried to kill her.
Instantly, the serpent’s head was pulped by the powerful blow.
The massive body fell into the bloody mud, twitched a few times, and then went still.
"There’s really no end to them!" Karina exclaimed, gazing at the scene in the Giant Elephant Tomb.
After Andre had retracted the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel, the Giant Elephant Tomb had been pitch-black, with nothing visible.
But after Andre cast a few Fire Element Witchcraft spells, the bloody mud became the perfect fuel for the flames.
Vast patches of pale green phosphorescent fire now illuminated the Giant Elephant Tomb.
It was by the light of this eerie fire that Karina could make out the current state of the Giant Elephant Tomb.
They had already killed over a dozen giant serpents together, but more still emerged endlessly from the rock walls and the pools of blood.
’How did those young Giant Elephants get out of here?’
A look of deep confusion flashed in her eyes before she once again brandished her Magic Staff to attack a serpent.
As she continued to fight, she gradually discovered the serpents’ weakness.
There was a single, faint white scale just below each serpent’s head.
While the scales on their underbellies were also white, this particular scale was different.
It was a faint, yellowish-white—the exact same color as the Disguise Potion hanging from her neck.
Karina now focused her attacks on this yellowish-white scale.
As her Witchcraft struck the scale, the serpent shrieked, and its heart burst, killing it instantly.
A smile finally broke through her grave expression as she watched the serpent die from its shattered scale.
But this method was still too slow.
The scale was tiny compared to the serpent’s massive body, making it a difficult target to hit.
Overall, though, the situation was improving.
"Damn it, there’s no end in sight!"
Dodging a serpent’s bite, Andre slipped the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel onto his hand and then took the Gale Gate from around his neck.
He decided it was time to reveal one of his trump cards: the large-scale Divine Power Tool, the Gale Gate.
The Gale Gate had been left by Angelson for his descendants to use in defense against enemies.
However, because the last Wizard expedition had begun so abruptly, the Gale Gate had been left behind in the Secret Realm.
If unleashed at full power, the Gale Gate’s might was equivalent to that of a War Witchcraft Artifact on a Star Realm Battleship.
Andre hadn’t intended to use this large-scale Divine Power Tool. No matter how many serpents had appeared before, he hadn’t considered it.
But now, the situation had changed drastically. With no end to the serpents in sight, he had no other choice. He had to use the Gale Gate.
While flying through the air and dodging the serpents’ attacks, Andre poured a massive amount of Divine Power into the Gale Gate.
The Gale Gate in his hands quickly grew larger and larger.
Finally, it reached the same colossal size it had been when Andre first saw it in the Secret Realm.
"Get back!" Andre yelled, seeing Karina appear in front of him.
Seeing the Gale Gate in Andre’s hands, Karina immediately dodged out of the way.
Then, world-ending storms erupted from the Gale Gate, shredding the giant serpents to pieces.
