Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 111: An Old Acquaintance
Chapter 111: Chapter 111: An Old Acquaintance
Time flew by, swift as a steed glimpsed through a crack. The days and months flowed on like water carrying fallen petals.
As the sun and moon rose in turn, the days passed one by one.
In the blink of an eye, four years had passed.
"This Dragon Transformation Fruit Tree has finally borne fruit!"
Outside the Wizard Inheritance Hall, Andre wiped the sweat from his forehead and tossed a Dragon Transformation Fruit into Seven Rings’ mouth.
Seven Rings chewed the Dragon Transformation Fruit with a reluctant expression.
The Dragon Transformation Fruit had the ability to cause a Dragon Beast’s Bloodline to metamorphose, but its taste... was bitter and astringent.
For a creature like Seven Rings, being made to eat a Dragon Transformation Fruit was undoubtedly a punishment.
"Alright, that’s enough for today."
Andre jumped down from the Dragon Transformation Fruit Tree and gave Potato, who was sleeping soundly at the base of the roots, a light kick.
"You may be about to enter your Metamorphosis Stage, but that’s no reason to sleep all day, every day."
Andre watched as Potato opened its eyes, glanced at him, then rolled over and fell back into a deep sleep. He couldn’t help but shake his head in resignation.
’Sigh. You two. I’m here worrying about you, but who’s here to worry about me?’
Andre sighed as he looked at Potato and Seven Rings. He was even a little envious of the life they were living now.
"System!" Andre called out, looking at his current stats.

’Everything is in place. All I need now is a gentle breeze!’
Andre nodded in satisfaction as he looked at his current stats.
His body, Soul, and Spiritual Power were now just shy of the standard for a Level 2 Wizard.
’Once I’ve completely perfected the Origin Technique, it will be time for me to become an Official Wizard.’
Andre closed the System panel and sighed.
His rapid growth and impressive stats after four years were entirely the result of his hard work during that time.
To be precise, it was thanks to the potions he had consumed nonstop, day and night, for those four years.
He had even created a schedule for himself to manage his potion consumption.
On that schedule, potions for enhancing his Bloodline and increasing his Spiritual Power made up the vast majority.
His Power, Speed, and Constitution would all increase as long as he improved his Bloodline’s concentration.
But his Spiritual Power and Soul still required the constant consumption of potions.
Although increasing his Bloodline’s concentration also improved his Spiritual Power and Soul, the rate of increase was still a bit slow compared to the boost from taking potions.
’I’m almost there. Soon I’ll be able to leave the academy to make my breakthrough.’
’But for now, it’s time I went home to visit.’
As Andre pondered this, his gaze turned toward the Qianyuan Subcontinent.
’This trip back home will probably be my only chance in this lifetime.’
Andre sighed, lost in thought for a long while.
When he had first transmigrated here, his parents in this life were already in their forties.
And in the Senbai Wizard World, ordinary people usually lived to be between 60 and 70.
He had been at the academy for five years now, so his parents were nearly 50 years old.
By the time he returned from his future expeditions, his parents in this life would likely have passed away.
’There are some things that, if you don’t do them when you have the chance, you’ll only look back on with endless regret.’
Andre sighed, then opened his Servant Bag and recalled Potato and Seven Rings.
Next, he uprooted the Dragon Transformation Fruit Tree, placed it in a flower pot he had prepared, added some fertilizer, and put it into his Storage Ring. He then flew toward a waiting Flying Vessel, ready to depart for the Qianyuan Subcontinent.
Once Andre was aboard, the Flying Vessel began to ascend. Soon, it was high in the sky, heading toward the Subcontinent.
"Lord Andre!"
As soon as Andre entered the Flying Vessel, the other High Level Wizard Apprentices who were accompanying him on this mission to recruit new blood all stood up to greet him.
"Please, there’s no need for that. Don’t mind me on this mission; just do what you need to do. I’m only hitching a ride."
Andre waved his hand at the Wizard Apprentices, then flew to his own room and began studying his still-incomplete Origin Technique.
The Origin Technique he was working on was one he had created himself, founded on the principles of Kasanti and combined with the concepts of fusion used by other Wizards in world creation.
There were still a few pathways for the flow of Magic Power that he had yet to perfect.
Andre consulted books on the subject, cross-referencing them with the Origin Technique he had created, and began to fill in the remaining flaws one by one.
Just then, there was a knock on his door. Andre looked up, and with a flick of his finger, the door swung open.
"Andre, long time no see!"
After the door opened, the person outside walked in.
"Long time no see, Rui Qi!"
Andre closed his book and sighed as he watched the woman walk in.
Five years had passed, and Rui Qi had fully matured.
"Isn’t Victoria with you?"
Andre glanced behind Rui Qi. When Rui Qi heard Andre mention Victoria, her face filled with bitterness, and she shook her head.
"What’s wrong? Did something happen between you two?"
Seeing Rui Qi’s expression, Andre had a few guesses about what might have happened.
"Not exactly. It’s just that she’s in a Secret Realm right now and hasn’t returned yet."
Rui Qi came to Andre’s side and looked at him as she spoke.
Andre nodded upon hearing this, but then he noticed something was off.
"Why did you decide to take this mission?"
Andre frowned as he looked at Rui Qi, who was covered in scars.
"I had no choice. At the academy, you need Magic Stones for everything."
"So, you and Victoria have gone your separate ways?"
Andre nodded, detecting the desolation in Rui Qi’s voice.
"She’s the descendant of a Wizard. Right after she entered the academy, she was taken in as a disciple. But I’m just a servant, even if I was her servant since we were children. After coming to the academy, I’ve had to fight for everything on my own."
Rui Qi’s words were filled with self-mockery.
