Chapter 158: Chapter 125: Fighting Qi Wings, The Flying Dragon Knight’s Hidden Identity

"How did you and Roy Wesley learn Frost Slash?"

"Dragon’s Battle Roar is understandable. You can cultivate it as long as you find Dragon Blood."

"But the Frost Vine required for Frost Slash has been extinct on the Eastern Continent for a very long time. You shouldn’t have been able to find any."

Curiosity flickered across the Flying Dragon Knight’s wrinkled face as he questioned Roy.

Although his tone was calm, his words immediately put Roy on high alert.

After sizing up the Flying Dragon Knight, Roy asked, "How do you know that the Secret Techniques Roy and I use are Dragon’s Battle Roar and Frost Slash?"

The Flying Dragon Knight didn’t answer right away. Instead, he began to search his pockets.

A few seconds later, he pulled a Copper Coin from his pocket—one Roy recognized instantly—and tossed it to him.

Roy caught the Copper Coin.

At the same time, the Flying Dragon Knight said slowly, "It’s simple. I’m also a member of the Second Son Brotherhood."

"To be precise, I’m the highest-ranking member of the organization in the Kalin Kingdom."

"Some time ago, I had our representative in the Laine Kingdom arrange a meeting with you, but you refused."

As soon as the Flying Dragon Knight finished speaking, Roy recalled Sandru telling him a while back that the Laine Kingdom’s representative wanted to meet him.

After a few seconds of silence, Roy tossed the Copper Coin back to the Flying Dragon Knight. "Even if you are the organization’s leader in the Kalin Kingdom, I don’t have to tell you how I learned Frost Slash."

"I was just curious. If you don’t want to talk about it, then forget it."

"Let’s get down to business. From the looks of it, you’re not here to assassinate me."

"If I’m not mistaken, you rushed here from Ice Wind City to negotiate, promising to keep the Kalin Kingdom’s army from invading the Northern Territory."

"Even if you hadn’t brought it up, I wouldn’t have let the Kalin Kingdom’s army take a single step into the Northern Territory."

"We’re all members of the same organization. I can at least grant you that courtesy."

The Flying Dragon Knight put the Copper Coin away, his expression calm as he spoke.

On the surface, there was nothing wrong with the Flying Dragon Knight’s words.

But Roy didn’t take him at his word.

It was true they were members of the same organization, but they had no personal relationship to speak of.

’More importantly, it was only last night that I killed the Ironblood Duke, proving I had the strength to kill a Silver Great Knight.’

’And Sandru had mentioned that a superior wanted to meet me *before* I even left for the Iron Armor Turtle Domain.’

After some thought, Roy said to the Flying Dragon Knight, "I don’t like owing favors. Since you’re showing me this courtesy, Your Grace, I’ll return the favor."

"As long as the people of the Kalin Kingdom don’t provoke me, I will absolutely not interfere in your war with the other three Dukes."

The Flying Dragon Knight had given him a verbal promise, and Roy didn’t mind giving one in return.

’Besides, I never planned on making the Wesley Clan the new Royal Family of the Laine Kingdom anyway.’

’Making the Wesley Clan the Lord of the North, elevating it from a Baron Clan to a Duke Clan, is more than enough.’

Hearing Roy’s answer, the Flying Dragon Knight nodded in satisfaction.

Just as he had said, his old bones couldn’t take much more trouble.

Even with a Two-legged Flying Dragon as his mount, he wasn’t confident he could defeat the Dark Night Knight.

That being the case, it was better to take a step back and compromise.

"If you don’t mind, after I speak with His Majesty, I’ll have him issue a formal non-aggression pact between the Kalin Kingdom and the Northern Territory."

The Flying Dragon Knight said slowly.

"Good!"

Roy knew why the Flying Dragon Knight wanted to make a public announcement, so he replied without hesitation.

For a while, they exchanged pleasantries before moving on to share their experiences with cultivation.

It had to be said, there were advantages to old age.

Although his chances of advancing to Golden Great Knight were slim, the Flying Dragon Knight hadn’t simply given up and waited for death; he still maintained a strict cultivation routine.

More importantly, in his attempts to break through the limits of his innate talent, he had actually made some novel discoveries.

Fighting Qi Mimicry, for example!

Fighting Qi Mimicry was, in essence, another application of Fighting Qi Substantiation.

Upon advancing to the rank of Great Knight, one could substantialize their Fighting Qi into armor and weapons.

The Fighting Qi Mimicry that the Flying Dragon Knight developed, however, allowed one to substantialize Fighting Qi into an extension of their own body.

Mimicking arms and wings, for instance!

When the Flying Dragon Knight mentioned mimicking wings to grant oneself the ability to fly, three words immediately popped into Roy’s head.

’Fighting Qi Wings!’

After the Flying Dragon Knight finished his proud introduction of the Fighting Qi Mimicry he was developing, Roy asked without a moment’s hesitation:

"Your Grace, I’m quite interested in the Fighting Qi Mimicry you’re researching. I wonder, would you be willing to make a trade?"

’Once my Steel-Backed Beast Seed upgrades to a Steel Dragon Seed, the first stage of my Hexagon Knight plan will be complete.’

’But there’s still one problem I haven’t solved.’

’Flying!’

’Right now, I have no way to fly!’

’For a Knight who practices a Breathing Technique, there are only three ways to gain the ability to fly.’

’First, obtain a Flying Mount, just like the Flying Dragon Knight.’

’This is the simplest and most practical method.’

’Although capturing a Flying Mount is extremely difficult, it’s still quite simple compared to the other two options.’

’Second, master a Flying Secret Technique, which is even rarer than a Legendary Breathing Technique.’
