Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor
Chapter 131 - 117: Wizarding World, Level Four Alchemist
Chapter 131: Chapter 117: Wizarding World, Level Four Alchemist
Roy knew exactly why Thomas had said those last words.
Clearly, the old man wanted to humiliate him before he died.
Though the insult had little effect, it was the only "resistance" Thomas could muster.
With his left hand severed as well, Thomas could no longer contain his rage.
Losing to Roy and having his right hand cut off had already made him furious enough.
If he hadn’t feared a painful death, he, a Wizard Apprentice, would never have yielded to a Knight.
"You’re not getting any more information out of me!"
"If you have the guts, then kill me now!"
Thomas glared at Roy, his face contorted with murderous intent, and roared.
Roy didn’t waste any courtesy on him. He lifted his right foot and kicked Thomas in the stomach.
THUD!
Unsurprisingly, the kick sent Thomas flying several meters, and he crashed wretchedly to the ground.
Roy ignored Thomas, immediately dispelling the Fighting Qi Destruction Sword in his hand.
The next moment, two sharp, black daggers appeared in his hands.
Ghoul’s Fang!
Instead of channeling his Fighting Qi to form another Fighting Qi Weapon, he retrieved the Ghoul’s Fangs from Chaos Square. Once weapons, they had since been demoted to tools of interrogation.
With the Ghoul’s Fangs in hand, he walked straight toward Thomas without a moment’s hesitation.
Soon, he stood before the fallen Thomas, who was unable to get up.
Both of his hands had been severed, and he had taken a hard kick to the stomach.
Never mind that Thomas was an old man; even a man in his prime couldn’t stand up without hands.
Roy stared down at Thomas, his eyes cold as ice.
After studying Thomas for a moment, he crouched down in front of him.
Before Thomas could speak, he swung the Ghoul’s Fang in his right hand.
SLICE!
The sharp Ghoul’s Fang sliced off Thomas’s left ear.
The intense pain made Thomas let out an involuntary scream.
Roy ignored his screams and, with another swing of a Ghoul’s Fang, sliced off Thomas’s right ear.
"Killing you would be letting you off too easily."
"Since you want to experience a torment like no other before you die, I’ll ’respect my elders’ one more time and grant your wish."
Without waiting for a reply, Roy began the same Lingchi he had once inflicted upon Sir Adam.
Soon, Thomas’s screams filled the air like a ceaseless, horrifying melody.
...
Thomas truly was a Wizard Apprentice who had practiced a Meditation Technique; his Spiritual Power far surpassed that of an ordinary person.
Despite his advanced age and the severe injuries he’d sustained even before the Lingchi began, he still displayed the "strength" of a Wizard Apprentice.
Ten minutes!
Under the torment of Roy’s Lingchi, he held out for a full ten minutes before finally breaking and begging for mercy.
Ten minutes might not seem long, but Sir Adam had only lasted for a mere two or three minutes.
Considering Thomas was significantly older than Sir Adam, lasting ten minutes was quite an impressive feat.
Once Thomas started begging for mercy, Roy mercifully gave him a second chance.
After extracting the information he wanted from Thomas, he pierced the man’s heart with a Ghoul’s Fang, putting a final end to his suffering.
After finishing off Thomas, Roy first tossed the blood-soaked Ghoul’s Fangs back into Chaos Square.
Then, he retrieved a waterskin from Chaos Square and washed his hands clean.
Once that was done, he began to loot the corpse.
He quickly found two leather pouches on Thomas’s body.
Both pouches were exquisitely made.
One was Thomas’s coin purse.
The other contained a Low-level Demonized Item: a Memory Crystal Ball.
To be precise, it was a Memory Crystal Ball that had recorded the Elemental Heart Meditation Method.
Thomas was quite old, but even now, he had failed to completely master all the Will Runes of the Elemental Heart Meditation Method.
Though he had no chance of ever advancing to an Official Wizard, he still carried the Memory Crystal Ball with him for convenience when practicing his Meditation Technique.
Besides the Memory Crystal Ball, Thomas had one other valuable piece of loot on his person.
The Barrier Ring on his right middle finger.
The Barrier Ring was a Moderately Demonized Item that could activate a Barrier Force Field once every three days.
The Barrier Force Field was one of the most effective defensive Level Zero Spells. It could block any attack with less power than a Level One Spell and provided 360-degree protection with no blind spots.
If it had any drawback, it was the Barrier Force Field’s short duration of only ten minutes.
The Barrier Ring was Thomas’s trump card, his last resort for survival.
Unfortunately for him, he never got the chance to use the Barrier Ring tonight.
If he had been fighting any other Knight tonight, not Roy...
Even after his Semi-Transparent Shield was shattered, he would have had enough time to activate the Barrier Force Field.
However, the person he happened to encounter tonight was Roy.
Roy hadn’t known that the ring on Thomas’s right middle finger was a Barrier Ring, capable of instantly activating a Barrier Force Field.
Cutting off Thomas’s right hand had been a complete coincidence.
However, even if Thomas had activated the Barrier Force Field, it wouldn’t have changed his fate. He was doomed to die tonight; it would have only prolonged his suffering for a short time.
After taking the Memory Crystal Ball from the leather pouch, Roy didn’t hesitate, immediately channeling his Spiritual Power into it.
The moment his Spiritual Power entered the Memory Crystal Ball, the Elemental Heart Meditation Method recorded within appeared before him.
