Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor
Chapter 122 - 113: Strongest Gold, All-Type Breathing Technique
Chapter 122: Chapter 113: Strongest Gold, All-Type Breathing Technique
Roy wrapped his right arm around Catherine’s slender waist and said with a smile, "Sincerity?"
"If he were truly sincere, he wouldn’t just want me to act as a go-between. He would have asked me to take him to the Dark Night Knight."
"Not only that, the reward he offered also proves his lack of sincerity."
"Using something that doesn’t even belong to him yet as a reward isn’t a promise. It’s just an empty promise."
When he first saw the gift from the Eldest Prince, Roy had also thought he was being quite sincere.
But after a few words, he realized he had been mistaken.
Even though Roy’s explanation was very clear, there were still some things Catherine couldn’t understand. She asked, "Then why would he use treasured Breathing Technique Inheritance Maps from the Royal Family’s collection as a gift?"
"He did that mainly to get on my good side."
"Of course, it was also intended to mislead me."
"If I’m not mistaken, when Margery and the others fled the Royal Capital, they must have taken quite a few of the Royal Family’s treasures with them. Among those, there are surely many items more valuable than Bloodline Breathing Technique Inheritance Maps."
"But he wasn’t willing to use those other items as a gift, choosing these two Inheritance Maps instead."
"As for why he chose these two, it’s partly because both Breathing Techniques are incredibly famous, and partly because many copies of their Inheritance Maps exist."
"Simply put, these two Breathing Technique Inheritance Maps seem precious, but in reality, they aren’t nearly as valuable as one might imagine."
Roy explained in a calm, unhurried tone.
After hearing his explanation, Catherine said slowly, "You don’t plan to work with him, then. Are you going to assassinate the Ironblood Duke by yourself?"
Roy nodded, a confident look on his face. "I never planned on working with anyone to take care of the Ironblood Duke, nor did I ever consider splitting the spoils."
"Whether he had come today or not, I was going to head to Ice Wind City to assassinate the Ironblood Duke soon anyway."
"The Ironblood Duke’s fortune will become the private property of the Dark Night Knight."
"As for his territory, it will become the second gift from the generous and protective Dark Night Knight, used to reward and motivate his students."
Seeing the confidence on his face, Catherine frowned. "Don’t tell me you’re already a Silver Great Knight?"
"No, it’s not that easy to advance to Silver Great Knight."
Even though Catherine was now his intimate partner, Roy still held something back, just as he always did.
He would never let anyone know he was a Transmigrator, nor would he ever reveal his true strength.
Catherine was about to say more, but Roy swept her into his arms, left the balcony, and carried her back into the bedroom.
Placing Catherine on the bed, he said with a grin, "It’s time for lunch."
Catherine gave him a flirtatious look, then wrapped her arms around his neck.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Roy began to savor the delicious lunch before him.
...
A troop of several hundred men was encamped on a grassy field a few kilometers from Rock Lion Castle.
Despite being so close to Rock Lion Castle, this troop did not belong to Catherine, but to the Eldest Prince.
Upon returning to his temporary camp, the Eldest Prince summoned the few Great Knights in his retinue into his tent.
"By this time tomorrow, I want to hear that all the Ironblood Duke’s vassal families in Yorkshire have been annihilated."
The Eldest Prince scanned the men, his tone swift and leaving no room for argument.
"Yes, Your Highness!"
Without a moment of hesitation, the Great Knights inside the tent replied in unison.
"Go, carry out your mission."
The Eldest Prince waved his hand dismissively.
Seeing his gesture, the Great Knights left the tent swiftly and silently.
When only he and the Fifth Princess, Margery, were left in the tent, the Eldest Prince said to her, "If I were to order you to seduce Roy Wesley, would you do it?"
"Do my thoughts matter to you?"
Margery stared at the Eldest Prince, her expression and voice icy.
Although they were brother and sister, they were not born of the same mother, and their bond was anything but deep.
The Eldest Prince’s mother was the Queen.
Margery’s mother, on the other hand, was merely one of William II’s many consorts.
"Your thoughts are indeed unimportant to me."
"Leave. If I need you to seduce Roy Wesley, I will have someone inform you."
The Eldest Prince spoke to Margery with the tone one would use for a subordinate.
Hearing his words, Margery turned to leave without hesitation.
Just as she was about to exit the tent, the Eldest Prince’s voice sounded again.
"A piece of advice: when it comes to seduction, a virgin has the most value."
"Preserve your first time. Don’t do anything foolish."
"Otherwise, you know the consequences."
The Eldest Prince said slowly.
Margery didn’t turn back. Suppressing the rage in her heart, she replied through clenched teeth, "Understood!"
With that, she left the tent without another moment’s hesitation.
The Eldest Prince knew she was furious, but he paid it no mind. He walked over to the map in the tent and began carefully studying the military strongholds in Green Province.
...
「In the afternoon.」
Having finished one improper lunch and then a proper one, a cheerful Roy arrived at his Cultivation Room.
He closed the door to the Cultivation Room and, without hesitation, entered Chaos Square.
He had originally planned to make a trip to Ice Wind City after his Cultivation of the Bronze Bear Breathing Technique reached the Tier Seven Limit, to completely settle the score between himself and the Ironblood Duke.
But now—or, more accurately, after receiving the Breathing Technique Inheritance Maps from the Eldest Prince—he had changed his mind.
’Since the Ironblood Duke hasn’t launched a second round of retaliation, I might as well let him live a little longer.’
Arriving in Chaos Square, Roy immediately took out the Inheritance Maps for the Thunder Beast Breathing Technique and the Golden Deer Breathing Technique.
The Golden Deer Breathing Technique was a Perception Type.
The Thunder Beast Breathing Technique was a rare Special Type.
Although neither of these Breathing Techniques was the Defensive Type he currently needed, he wasn’t the least bit disappointed. In fact, he was quite satisfied.
Because these two Breathing Techniques filled in the last two pieces of his Hexagon Warrior puzzle.
Power, Speed, Physique, Defense, Perception, Special!
The Breathing Techniques of this world only fell into these six categories.
He not only possessed Perfect Level Breathing Techniques for the Power, Speed, and Physique types, but he had already cultivated them to Tier Eight.
As for a Perfect Level Defensive Breathing Technique, he was halfway there; his Bronze Bear Breathing Technique was about to reach the Tier Seven Limit.
He just needed to find one more Excellent Level Defensive Breathing Technique to upgrade the Bronze Bear Breathing Technique to the Perfect Level.
With the addition of the Special Type Thunder Beast Breathing Technique and the Perception Type Golden Deer Breathing Technique, he now possessed every type of Breathing Technique.
He could already imagine it: once he grinded all six types of Perfect Breathing Techniques to their limits, he would become the strongest Golden Great Knight in the history of this world.
Not only that, there was a high probability that he would become a Golden Great Knight possessing Legendary combat power *before* even advancing to the Legendary tier.
’The future is bright!’
After calming himself, he stored the Inheritance Maps for the Golden Deer and Thunder Beast Breathing Techniques in a chest in the corner of the square.
He then walked to the center of the square and began his Cultivation of the Bronze Bear Breathing Technique.
「Three days passed in a flash.」
After grinding for three days in Chaos Square, Roy successfully brought the Bronze Bear Breathing Technique to the Tier Seven Limit, just as he had hoped. He obtained his first defensive special effect.
[Middle Level Defense: Your Defense Attribute is permanently increased by 50%.]
「The fifth-floor study.」
Roy once again met with the Eldest Prince and Margery.
After exchanging pleasantries, Roy said to the Eldest Prince, "I have relayed Your Highness’s words to my master. He asked me to reply to Your Highness that he is accustomed to working alone and has no intention of joining forces with others to deal with his enemies."
"Furthermore, my master said that in one month, he will travel to Ice Wind City to settle things once and for all with the Ironblood Duke."
"If he wins, he does not wish for anyone to fish in troubled waters and snatch the spoils that rightfully belong to him."
"If anyone tries to steal them, it will be considered a declaration of war against him."
