When they arrived at their destination, it wasn’t hard to figure out what this place was.

In fact, they might have been considered dumb if they didn’t actually figure this out when they saw the design of this building.

With how much had been put into building this place, it was clear that this was the main hall of the Dao Sect.

Seeing this, Lin Fan started to understand why Su Ling had said that this place was dangerous. But at the same time, he could understand why this was the place that the Heavenly Demon chose to go to.

This was the very center of the Dao Sect ruins.

There was no telling what kind of things were hidden in this place, but there was no doubt that they would be among the best of what the Dao Sect had to offer.

Perhaps even the secret of controlling the entire Dao Sect ruins was hidden in this place.

Once they arrived outside this main hall, they stopped moving.

Lin Fan’s group knew that this place would be dangerous, so they didn’t plan on charging in without looking around the area first.

With the token in hand, Lin Fan found that he was even able to control the mist array around this place.

Though there was a strange feeling that came from the mist array as he controlled it. This feeling was as if the mist array was much easier to control compared to before.

However, that didn’t make any sense since this place was supposed to be the very center of the Dao Sect. This was the place that should have been guarded the most closely, so it was strange that he would be able to control it so easily.

"Is it because of the added authority?" That was something that had changed previously which had affected his ability to control the mist. But Lin Fan knew that this would have been too convenient if that was the case.

This had to be something else that was affecting his ability to control the mist array.

It was just that other than this, it didn’t seem like there was anything else that was off about this main hall.

In fact, they could even see traces of people who had entered this main hall previously.

When they found these traces, Lin Fan could see the trace of anxiety that had appeared in Ye Qing Huan’s eyes.

There was someone among this group that Ye Qing Huan was worried about, but she wasn’t the only one that was worried about them. Lin Fan was also worried about the Heavenly Demon, but it wasn’t just because he was Ye Qing Huan’s master.

The Heavenly Demon had treated him quite well in the short amount of time that he had known him.

He didn’t say anything, he just patted Ye Qing Huan on the shoulder before heading forward with the token in hand.

Since they didn’t know what was ahead of them, it was best for Lin Fan to lead the way. Though even if he didn’t lead the way, it wasn’t as if there was any other path for them to take.

There was only that one single entrance into this main hall.

From the looks of it, it seemed like the other paths had long been sealed.

This didn’t seem like something that was done by outsiders. The way that this place had been sealed, this was something that had been done by the ones that had been inside of the main hall.

"Is it something that they did during the disaster to keep themselves safe? Or is there another meaning to them sealing off the other entrances?"

Even if Lin Fan asked himself this question, it wasn’t as if he was able to figure out the answer. At the same time, it wasn’t as if Old Duan was answering any questions right now with the way that he was playing dead.

So in the end, they had to figure this out on their own.

When they approached the entrance, Lin Fan’s group found that there was nothing that stopped them.

Since this was the main hall of the Dao Sect, one would expect this place to be heavily guarded with all kinds of different traps. This wasn’t the kind of place that one could enter unless they were qualified to enter.

It was just that there wasn’t a single thing that came out at them.

"Is it because of the token?"

Without knowing when it happened, the token had started releasing this faint glow. Only the faint glow that was currently around the token was much weaker than anything that they had seen so far.

It was almost as if whatever power the token was releasing was much weaker than before. Almost as if it was being restrained by something.

But at the very least, it seemed like this allowed them to enter the main hall without any problems.

After entering the main hall, they found that this place was quite similar to any other main hall of a sect. This was a place that was made for gatherings of the elders, but it was also a place where the main administration of the sect was performed.

There many different rooms that seemed to hold records of the Dao Sect.

Only they knew without even approaching it that they wouldn’t be able to access these rooms. These rooms would surely be sealed off so that not just anyone would be able to access them.

With Lin Fan’s current authority, he didn’t think it would be close to being enough to access these rooms.

From the way that the tracks led them, it seemed like the ones that had explored this place had done something similar. They had tried to open the rooms, but it seemed like they failed and had no choice but to retreat.

Since that was the case, there was no need for them to see if they could open these doors. It was better for them to follow the tracks to see if they could find the ones that were trapped here.

It was just that as they progressed deeper into this main hall, Lin Fan couldn’t help feeling that there was something off about this place. The more that he saw, the more that he felt that there was something strange.

He wasn’t able to figure it out at first, but eventually it did come to him.

Only the moment that it came to him, he couldn’t help thinking about it one more time since it didn’t feel like it was right. Only there really was no denying what he was feeling right now.

"So it really is too easy..."

It was almost as if there was something invisible that was sliding down the difficulty for them, which made it easier for them to make their way through this main hall. It was as if there was something that wanted them to make their way through here.

Perhaps that was the real trap of this place...

It was just that it was hard for him to say anything now.

It might have been easier for him to say something before they entered this place, but it wasn’t as easy since there was something that had filled Ye Qing Huan.

When one held hope, it really was hard to take it away from them.

"It’ll be fine. We should be able to deal with what’s to come."

Though the main reason that Lin Fan was calm in the face of this potential trap was that he knew that there was someone here that would have warned them if it was a truly dangerous trap.

The fact that Old Duan was silent was the best way of telling that this was at least safe for now.

After all, Old Duan would be trapped here as well if something happened to them.

After following this path for a while, they found the end of the trail.

When they came to the end of this trail, it wasn’t as if they didn’t find what they were looking for. It was just that the way that they found them was a bit surprising.

"They’re just standing here?"

It didn’t seem like they had been hurt, it was just that there was something that kept them in place. When they looked closely, they could see that there was something that was slowing them down to the point where it seemed like they weren’t moving at all.

That was how they were being kept in this place.

It was a good thing that before they had approached, Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu had already grabbed onto Lin Fan. Or else they might have fallen for the same trap that these people had.

Lin Fan had thought about breaking the Heavenly Demon free by reaching out to use the power of the token on him, but he found that this didn’t actually do anything.

The power of the token was only enough to resist the trap that was laid here, it wasn’t enough to break through the power of the trap. This trap was something that they had never seen before, but they could tell that it used the law of time.

Or else it certainly wouldn’t have been able to trap these Transcendence Realm Cultivators.

"Let’s leave them be for now. They aren’t in any danger like this, so we should be able to leave them here without any problems."

Ye Qing Huan took one last look at the Heavenly Demon before nodding in agreement.

The only way to help the Heavenly Demon now was to take control of this place and the trap that was keeping him here.
