Chapter 1577: Going wild

"Where is it coming from?"

No matter how they looked around, they just weren’t able to find the source of the attacks at all.

It was as if these attacks were just coming out of thin air with how they appeared all of a sudden.

It didn’t seem like they could do anything to defend against these attacks.

But it wasn’t as if they could just ignore it either. After all, they were already seriously injured because of the attacks that came at them.

So the only thing that they could do in the end was try to find the source to stop it.

"Ah!"

Once again, there were no signs at all before the attacks suddenly hit them.

"Come out already! Stop hiding like a little rat!"

Of course cheap provocation like this wouldn’t actually work, but it wasn’t as if they were doing this to draw out that person.

What they were really doing was trying to hide their real actions.

Once they were ready, they didn’t hesitate at all to release all of the attacks that they had gathered. It was as if they were planning on wiping out all life in this area with how dense these attacks were.

But that wasn’t the main reason that they released all of these attacks.

They had started running even without anyone saying a word since they knew that this was the only way that they would be able to escape. All of the attacks that were released were nothing more than distractions meant to push away the attackers, which was why they had to release it as densely as it was.

Even when they were running away, they also made sure to put up defenses and strengthen themselves so they would be able to move faster. The only thing that mattered to them at this moment was to get away from this place as soon as possible.

It was just that the attacks that they released hit nothing.

"Is it a ghost or did they leave?"

The disciples couldn’t help letting their guards down for a moment when they saw this, but they were proven wrong when someone was slammed down to the ground. The fist shape holes that were on their chest were more than enough to show that what had attacked them previously was still there.

But it wasn’t as if any of them even thought about helping the one that had been knocked to the ground. The only thing that they cared about was the fact that this verified that there was still someone here.

Without any hesitation, they all scattered and ran off in different directions.

As they ran off, they made sure to release attacks behind them.

None of them seemed to care where the attacks went as long as they were able to use these attacks to cover themselves. Which was why some of these attacks actually hit the other disciples that were also running.

It was a complete mess with the way that they were all hindering each other.

But even so, it didn’t seem like the enemy that was hiding was attacking them.

It even seemed like the enemy was making fun of them by letting them attack each other like this.

Still, this gave them the room to run away from their current predicament.

Or that would have been the case if not for the fact that they ended right back where they started.

"Why are you all here?" There wasn’t a single face that was devoid of shock as they all couldn’t believe what they were seeing. In fact, they had returned to the exact same spot as before.

It was as if there was something that had led them all back to this same spot.

But that didn’t matter right now since they had to figure out how to escape this place, especially since another one of them was suddenly knocked to the ground. The holes that looked like fists on their chest showed that the same enemy was still here.

So they couldn’t let their guard down for even a second or they would end up like the person who was lying on the ground. But it wasn’t as if they knew what they had to keep their guard up against.

No matter how they tried to escape, the only thing that happened was that they continued moving in circles around the same place.

It reached a point where there were a few that just gave up and sat down on the ground, waiting for what was to come.

There was even someone that challenged their invisible enemy, "Just do it already! Finish me off! I won’t be played around by someone like you!"

However, they were actually ignored because of this outburst.

It seemed like because they made this outburst, they were ignored by the one that was taking down all of the other disciples. It was as if they were torturing them specifically by letting them watch everyone else being taken down around them.

But in the end, it wasn’t as if they were allowed to leave.

In the end, they were also laid flat on the ground with a few punches.

After everyone had been taken down, Han Ba couldn’t help shaking his head with a wry smile.

When he heard what Lin Fan wanted him to do, he couldn’t help feeling a bit skeptical. After all, it wasn’t as if these disciples were that weak and were that easy to take down.

But Lin Fan showed him exactly how easy it was to mess with them.

At the same time, Han Ba couldn’t help feeling awed by the skills that Lin Fan had demonstrated.

Even if he was a fool, he would be able to figure out that Lin Fan was manipulating the array that had been in this place. This was the array that they had been subjected to all along, the thing that had blocked their spiritual sense.

If it wasn’t for this, they certainly wouldn’t have suffered as much as they had.

"It’s not over yet, there’s still more to do."

Another wry smile appeared on Han Ba’s face when he heard this, but it wasn’t as if he was against what Lin Fan was planning to do. He had already had enough of the disciples from the other sects acting the way that they had been acting.

He had long wanted to do something to those arrogant disciples from the righteous sects, it was just that he wasn’t able to do it.

Now that Lin Fan was giving him this chance, it wasn’t as if he would give it up.

But there was a reason for Lin Fan to do all of this.

None of the disciples that they hunted were killed, they were just injured to the point where it would be hard for them to explore these ruins any further. Though at the same time, it wasn’t as if they were injured enough that they would die from their injuries either.

All of this was to make sure that the righteous sects wouldn’t be able to get much from these ruins.

"Did you hear about the Hunter?"

That was the rumour that spread among the disciples of the righteous sects and this was Lin Fan’s second goal in doing this.

It wasn’t as if he could completely stop the disciples of the righteous sects from exploring the ruins, but he could discourage them as much as possible by creating these threats for them.

As long as there was this threat looming over them, then it would be hard for them to move like they had been doing so far. They would have no choice but to reign themselves in and raise their guards against anything that might be coming for them.

All it took was beating up a bunch of the disciples from the righteous sects to start spreading this rumour.

Once the rumour had spread enough, Lin Fan stopped bringing Han Ba around.

The look on his face made it seem like Han Ba hadn’t had enough of beating up these disciples from the righteous sects. It really seemed like Han Ba wanted to go wild a bit longer on them.

Lin Fan just said, "Go on and beat them up, it’s not as if they can do anything to you anyway."

He had already seen how strong Han Ba’s body was after he had refined it with the training dummy, so he knew that it would be hard to find someone that would be able to do anything to him.

However, Lin Fan did add, "Make sure that you’re only targeting small groups."

It wasn’t that he was worried about Han Ba’s safety when he said this, it was just that he didn’t want to cause a bigger commotion than he had already caused.

If this commotion became any bigger, it might force the disciples of the righteous sects to do something desperate.

Right now, they had the other sects restraining each other that prevented them from doing anything too crazy. But if they were backed into a corner, then it would make them desperate.

The beasts that were desperate were the ones that acted out the most.

Lin Fan didn’t want to give them that chance.

Han Ba understood what Lin Fan meant by this, so he didn’t question it at all.

He just looked forward to beating on the disciples of the righteous sects.

With that taken care of, Lin Fan was free to take care of his own business.

Though there was a place that he needed to visit first.
