Chapter 1490: Dragons resonating (4)

Chapter 1490: Dragons resonating (4)

From the status screen, it seemed like there was some kind of change that was happening to Hayase’s race.

It still said that he was a Water Dragon, but there was something that was being added to this.

Lin Fan couldn’t make out what it was at first.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t see it, it was that there was something about this that seemed to be changing still. It was as if whatever change was coming over Hayase was still forming, which was why the status window couldn’t describe it yet.

But eventually, it appeared on the status window.

"True Water Dragon."

Once this appeared on the status window, it seemed like Hayase’s struggle was also over. It seemed like he had accepted the power that was contained within that drop of blood and made it his own.

Though from the way that he was acting, it also seemed like there was another change that was about to happen.

Even though he absorbed that drop of blood, he still hadn’t used its power to transform himself yet.

That was why his scales started to change colours after a while.

It wasn’t a drastic change, it was more that his scales were becoming more pronounced. The colours of the scale weren’t becoming deeper, but rather it seemed sharper compared to before.

It was almost as if there was some kind of glow that appeared in these scales.

Other than that, there were some minor changes that happened with Hayase’s body.

These were small changes compared to the colour change of his scales, but it still was a change that was visible. The claws and teeth were getting sharper and it even seemed like there was a change that came over his pupils.

In short, he was becoming a more mature dragon.

Once Hayase had finished changing, he even seemed a bit bigger compared to before.

It was clear that whatever had happened to Hayase had completely changed him from the inside out.

Though whether that made him stronger or not...

"How are you feeling?" Lin Fan asked when Hayase finally settled down.

Hayase didn’t seem to have heard what he said at first as he looked down at his claws, almost as if he was observing his own body.

Then slowly looking up, he said, "I’m stronger."

There was a strange tone in Hayase’s voice when he said this, but it didn’t seem like it was a bad thing.

"How much stronger?"

Hayase didn’t answer this question at first, but then he said, "At least twice as strong."

Then after a pause, he added, "It’s just that my bloodline hasn’t really changed."

Lin Fan was surprised to hear this before he looked at the status screen once more to make sure that he hadn’t made a mistake. When he looked at it closely, he could see that there was this ’true’ modifier that was in front of Hayase’s race.

From what he could see, it really seemed like Hayase’s bloodline had changed.

But Hayase was saying that he didn’t feel any change other than his strength increasing.

If there was anyone that knew that there was some kind of change in his race, it would without a doubt be Hayase. Hayase would know his own body better than anyone else.

So if he didn’t feel any change, then that should mean that there wasn’t a change in his race.

"What does the ’true’ modifier mean then when it comes to this new bloodline?" Lin Fan couldn’t help asking himself as he stared at the status screen in front of him.

He was hoping that there would be some kind of explanation that would reveal itself, but there wasn’t a single thing that appeared. It seemed like neither the Appraisal Eyes or the system was going to give him an explanation as to what this was.

In that case, there was nothing that he could do to try and figure this out.

After all, it wasn’t as if there was a problem with this.

Even if his bloodline didn’t change, it was still a fact that Hayase was stronger because of the drop of blood that it received.

"Give it a drop of your blood as well."

Hayase didn’t seem like he was willing to do so, but he still followed this order and handed over a drop of his blood.

It was just that Ao Kaung didn’t seem interested in this drop of blood.

Even when it was floating in front of it, it seemed like Ao Kuang wasn’t paying this drop of blood any attention.

Hayase seemed a bit annoyed seeing this and he controlled the drop of blood to go into Ao Kuang’s mouth. Only it didn’t seem like there was a reaction that came from Ao Kuang at all after it received this drop of blood.

In fact, it looked like it was disgusted by the drop of blood as it wanted to spit it out.

However, it seemed like Ao Kuang still absorbed that drop of blood in the end.

Whether it was from its aura or the status screen, it didn’t seem like there was any effect on Ao Kuang after it absorbed that drop of blood.

So it seemed like Ao Kuang’s blood had an effect on Hayase, but Hayase’s blood just didn’t have any effect on Ao Kuang.

"Is it because of the bloodline difference or is it because of the continent difference?"

No, if it was the continental difference, then there wouldn’t be the modifier.

Thinking about it, Lin Fan couldn’t help asking Ao Kuang for another drop of blood.

Ao Kuang looked at Hayase before looking back at Lin Fan with a gaze like it wasn’t willing. In response to this, Lin Fan just simply said, "It’s not for him, I want to test something else."

Hayase didn’t seem happy hearing this and glared at Ao Kuang, but Ao Kuang didn’t even have to defend itself. Instead, it was Shiro that started glaring at Hayase for the way that he was acting.

When Shiro cut in like this, there really wasn’t anything that Hayase could do about this.

With that drop of blood in hand, Lin Fan also pulled out a sword before letting that drop of blood fall onto the sword.

The moment that the drop of blood made contact with the sword, Lin Fan could feel the strong reaction that came from the sword. It felt like there was some kind of intense power that was being unleashed from it.

As this was happening, both Ao Kuang and Hayase seemed to move away from Lin Fan. From the expressions on their faces, it seemed like they were afraid of the aura that this sword was giving off.

That was because this sword was Gramr, the dragon killing sword.

The conditions to unseal the sealed Gramr was to use dragon blood and it seemed like this drop of blood really had an effect on the sealed Gramr.

It was just that it didn’t seem like it had the effect that Lin Fan wanted.

When Gramr stopped releasing this aura, Lin Fan used his Appraisal Eyes to check it.

However, it seemed like the seals hadn’t changed at all. It seemed like this drop of blood from Ao Kuang hadn’t unlocked a single one of the seals on Gramr.

The only thing that it had done was change the name of Gramr.

"True Gramr."

That was the new name that this sword had when Lin Fan used the Appraisal Eyes on it.

It was just like how Hayase’s bloodline had changed to have the same ’true’ modifier in front of it.

However, Lin Fan just couldn’t understand what it meant to have this ’true’ modifier added to it.

When Lin Fan pulled out Gramr on the status screen, he did see that all of its stats had increased because of the modifier that was added onto it. It was just that other than this, there was nothing else that was added.

"Is it because it’s still sealed?"

That was the first doubt that he had, but he quickly tossed that thought away.

After all, it had been the same with Hayase.

After Hayase had received the modifier to his bloodline, the only thing that increased was his stats. This was something that Lin Fan had carefully verified by checking his current stats with the stats that he had previously.

If this was a true bloodline change, then he would have gained some kind of skills.

Since neither he or Gramr had gained anything other than a stat boost, it really was hard to tell just what this modifier really was.

"Is it really just nothing more than a title that increases stats?"

Lin Fan didn’t think that things were that simple, but there was nothing that he could do to change it. It wasn’t as if he was some kind of mad scientist that could experiment with bloodlines nor was he some kind of god that could change these things.

All he could do was continue observing and see what would change.

Lin Fan believed that things wouldn’t be this simple.

"But there is a difference between Gramr and Hayase..." Lin Fan muttered to himself as he stared at Gramr’s stats.

Gramr’s stats had increased by over a hundred times compared to before and reached a level that he could even use right now. It could even be said that Gramr’s power had exploded because of what happened.

Hayase’s stats were actually three times as high, which was higher than what Hayase had thought it would be.

Lin Fan just couldn’t understand why there was such a large difference between them.
