Chapter 1303: No holding back
Chapter 1303: No holding back
When it was all over, it seemed like the Heavenly Demon Sect outer sect disciples were coming down from the high that they had been experiencing.
The expressions on their faces were as if they were realizing what they had just done and the consequences that would follow.
But in the end, it didn’t seem like it affected them that much.
After all, they were disciples of the Heavenly Demon Sect.
It wasn’t as if they would actually suffer that much from doing something like this.
It was only normal for them to go through things like this when they were fighting against the righteous sects. It wasn’t as if the righteous sects would actually spare them if they knew they were from the Heavenly Demon Sect.
Lin Fan was surprised how quickly the Heavenly Demon Sect outer sect disciples accepted what happened. But when he thought about it, he realized that this was just normal for them.
Since they grew up in the Heavenly Demon Sect, it was only normal that they would be used to the grudge that was between the Heavenly Demon Sect and the four righteous sects.
This was most likely not even the worst thing that they had ever seen before.
It was no doubt the first time that they had done something like this, but it wasn’t bad for them to have this kind of experience.
It would surely be helpful to them in the future.
After they accepted this, they turned to look at Lin Fan as if they were asking him what they should do now.
Lin Fan had just been waiting for this as he held up the map that he was holding and said, “There’s still plenty of things for us to gather in this secret realm.”
The eyes of the Heavenly Demon Sect outer sect disciples lit up the moment that they heard this.
When they saw the Sword Grass, it was only natural that they would be interested in it.
This was something that even those from the Mount Hua Sword Sect were interested in and they were a sect of sword cultivators. They should have already had plenty of resources that would have helped with the cultivation of these sword cultivators.
But even then, they were excited about the Sword Grass.
That was more than enough to show how valuable the Sword Grass was.
So it was only natural that they would want it as well.
Lin Fan knew what they were thinking, so he said, “Just split it among yourself already, I don’t want this. This trip was to help you gather resources, so there’s no need to worry about me.”
The outer sect disciples couldn’t help looking awkward when they heard this.
Lin Fan just continued by saying, “If there’s something that I want, I’ll tell you. For now, this thing isn’t useful to me at all.”
He even revealed a smile at the end of this to assure them all.
So in the end, the outer sect disciples accepted the Sword Grass from Lin Fan and split it amongst themselves based on who needed it.
There was no argument between them since they knew that this wasn’t the last of the reward that they would be receiving from Lin Fan.
Someone who was generous enough to give up something like the Sword Grass that easily definitely wouldn’t just end it there. There was no doubt that there would be many benefits to come from following Lin Fan.
That was why all of them looked excited about what they would find next.
At the same time, the way that they looked at Lin Fan had completely changed.
After all, they had been following Lin Fan before this because they had wanted to get close to him because of his reputation.
But now, there were traces of respect that were in their eyes when they looked at him.
Someone like him was no doubt worth their respect.
Lin Fan didn’t say anything or reveal any expressions on his face, but he gave a secret chuckle when he saw them like this.
After all, this was what he wanted to see.
The thing was that even though his reputation was being built in the Heavenly Demon Sect, it didn’t mean that it was a good reputation. The thing that he was known for was his ability to grow herbs and nothing else.
That was enough for him to gain favours from others, but that didn’t mean that others would spread good rumours about him.
So the one thing that he had to do now was build a better reputation so that others would follow him willingly.
That was what these outer sect disciples would do.
…
“Look at this harvest!”
The outer sect disciples were all filled with excitement as they looked at everything that was in front of them.
It was hard for them not to be excited since it could be said that this was half of all of the resources that were in this secret realm.
They had been able to secure half of this, far more than they had been expecting to take. This was like bumping into an unexpected haul all of a sudden, something that no one wouldn’t be excited about.
That was why they were all excitedly looking over all the different things that they had gotten.
Of course, they knew that they wouldn’t have been able to get all of this if not for Lin Fan escorting them. It wasn’t that he had held off the elders that escorted the four righteous sects, it was that they wouldn’t have found all of this without him.
His spiritual sense really was on a completely different level.
With that, he had been able to find things that they never would have expected to find since they were so well hidden.
That was why they had offered Lin Fan the first pick of all the things that they had obtained.
It was just that Lin Fan didn’t seem interested in any of the things in this pile.
Lin Fan ignored the outer sect disciples as they looked over the loot that they had obtained.
That was because Lin Fan couldn’t help being surprised by how strong he had become.
The way that they had obtained all of this was that they had beaten up all of the groups from the righteous sects and stolen from them. After all, it was impossible for them to gather all of this on their own.
The only way that they could have gotten all of this was if they robbed and stole the hard work of the other groups. Though there were a few things that they did obtain on their own with Lin Fan’s guidance.
Still, most of it came from the righteous sects.
Lin Fan had been the one that had led this charge against the righteous sects.
That meant that he had been the one that had fought against the elders that had been sent to escort the disciples of those righteous sects like he had been as well.
With Lin Fan’s abilities, those elders just didn’t put up a fight at all.
There was no doubt that they were strong compared to other cultivators that were at the same level. But even then, there wasn’t a single one of them that was able to match Lin Fan.
Even though he had been holding back as well.
Lin Fan didn’t use his full power when dealing with them, he had only used a fraction of his full power.
But even then, it seemed like he overpowered them.
Lin Fan already knew that he was stronger than other cultivators at the same cultivation level, but he didn’t think that he was this much stronger than them. It really felt like he was on a completely different level.
That was even considering the fact that those elders were cultivators that could defeat those at the same level quite easily. Since they were cultivators from the Five Great Sects, it meant that they were all capable of fighting those at a higher level of cultivation with the cultivation techniques that they possessed.
Even so, they couldn’t match Lin Fan.
“This really is the power of a golden finger.” Lin Fan thought to himself as he looked down at his hands.
After all, it was only because of the different skills that the system gave him that this was possible.
In fact, Lin Fan had looked into it and found that there were some specific skills that the system gave him that made it possible for him to be this strong.
It turned out that it wasn’t just active skills that were inherited, there were also passive skills that were also inherited. It was just that since there was a large list of skills, Lin Fan never noticed them before.
With these passive skills, his stats were far higher than anyone else at the same level.
Then adding in his powerful cultivation technique and physique, it was only natural that he would be stronger than those at the same cultivation level.
This was the first time that he had actually fought someone in the Soul Building Realm like this.
There were others that he had encountered, but they had always been higher than him in terms of cultivation.
With this experience, Lin Fan was far more confident about dealing with others in the future.
Though he also made sure that he wasn’t too confident since that would make him careless.
He had just the right amount of confidence after this experience.
