Chapter 1290: Finding the hidden feature

While Lin Fan was being avoided like this, there wasn’t really much that he could do.

With his Appraisal Eyes, it was easy for him to find the treasures that he was supposed to be collecting. In fact, he found things that he wasn’t supposed to be collecting, but they were valuable things in his eyes.

So Lin Fan headed in without hesitation.

“How did he find that place?” The elders who had been watching couldn’t help being shocked when they saw this.

Since they were the referees, it was only natural that they would be keeping an eye on everything that was happening inside of this pocket of space. So that meant that the moment that Lin Fan had arrived at this place, they already knew about it.

It was just that they never expected Lin Fan to break through the array that was keeping the door sealed to find that place.

After heading down for a bit, Lin Fan found that this corridor opened up into a much larger room.

At the same time, he could tell that the concentration of spiritual energy was getting stronger as he approached this room.

Once he stepped into the room, he found something familiar. Though he was surprised that there was this thing inside of the room.

After thinking about it, Lin Fan realized that it was only natural that this thing was here.

After all, with how this pocket in space was designed, it was necessary to have something like this.

This was an array that was just like the one that was in the special training area.

This was an array that would gather spiritual energy and refine it.

Since this was a pocket in space that had been created to grow spiritual herbs and artifacts, it was only natural that there would be such a thing here. It required a large amount of spiritual energy for these things to grow and this array was the best thing for gathering that spiritual energy.

So it was only natural that there would be such an array in this place.

The thing was that it wasn’t just the array that was in this place.

When he looked closely, he found that there was something else that was in the array as well. Or it was better to say that there was a smaller array that was inside of this larger array used to gather spiritual energy.

With how the smaller array was positioned, it seemed like the smaller array was receiving spiritual energy from the larger array.

As for how the smaller array was using this spiritual energy, Lin Fan could see it right away.

There was this liquid that was floating in the air above the array.

Lin Fan could easily sense the spiritual energy that was coming from this liquid, so he was able to tell that this wasn’t a normal kind of liquid.

Even when he tried to use his Appraisal Eyes on it, it seemed like there was some kind of resistance that was coming from the liquid that stopped his Appraisal Eyes.

For that to happen, it meant that there was too much spiritual energy gathered inside of this liquid that his spiritual sense wasn’t able to penetrate it. He might have been able to do it if his cultivation was a bit higher, but there was no complaining about this.

With this liquid in front of him, it was hard for him to resist taking it.

After all, he could tell that this thing would certainly be of great help to him if he were to absorb it.

It wasn’t the fact that it was filled with spiritual energy that it would greatly help him.

It was the fact that he could tell that there was some kind of reaction that was coming from the Clear Water Bead. It felt like if the Clear Water Bead was able to absorb this thing, the Clear Water Bead would be able to evolve to a new level.

If that was possible, there was no doubt that Lin Fan would become much more powerful.

Not only would his cultivation level go up again, his defense would also become much stronger.

However, what the grand elder and the rest of the higher ups were thinking was, “Since this kid can create more of these arrays, then we can always gather more of this thing. It’s better to give him a taste of it so that he’ll be willing to help us.”

This was a bribe from them to Lin Fan.

Though a small part of it was because they were impressed with Lin Fan’s abilities.

After all, he had been able to find this place all on his own.

So in the end, Lin Fan was able to take that drop of liquid without anyone stopping him.

Holding it in his hand, he could sense the spiritual energy coming from it much more closely than before. It seemed that this drop of liquid contained even more spiritual energy than he thought.

He didn’t need to guess why his Clear Water Bead wanted to absorb this thing.

But in the end, Lin Fan put it away since he didn’t want to absorb it right now.

It just simply wasn’t the right place for him to absorb this drop of liquid.
