With the way that Ye Qing Huan’s father looked at him, Lin Fan wasn’t expecting much.

He knew that there was only one reason that Ye Qing Huan’s father would look at him like this, especially with how much he seemed to care about his daughter.

But in the end, he was caught off guard when Ye Qing Huan’s father suddenly said, “Welcome to our family manor. I’m sure that you’ve traveled a long way to come here, so come in and have a seat before we talk.”

While he was saying this, there was a smile that was on his face.

Lin Fan couldn’t help being taken aback by the way that Ye Qing Huan’s father treated him, but it didn’t seem like he was going to go back on this with the way that he turned around and started heading in.

Lin Fan couldn’t help looking at Ye Qing Huan’s mother as well, but all he saw was a smile as she waved him in as well.

He had been prepared for a special kind of treatment as the boyfriend that was brought back by a beloved daughter, but this didn’t seem like the special kind of treatment that he expected.

After all, it didn’t seem like they had anything against him.

It seemed like they completely trusted Ye Qing Huan’s decision and accepted him.

Lin Fan really didn’t know how to feel about all of this, but Ye Qing Huan pulled him in by the arm while he was still standing there in a daze.

When he came back to his senses, he found that he was in a small room that seemed to be a gathering space for a family. This wasn’t the kind of room that one would have expected in a large manor like this, so it had to be a room that had been specially built by the owners of the manor.

It seemed like this was how the Ye Family liked to act with each other.

They really were different from any other cultivation family that Lin Fan had met before.

“Come and sit down so we can talk.” Ye Qing Huan’s father gestured to the seat in front of where he and Ye Qing Huan’s mother were sitting.

Ye Qing Huan pulled Lin Fan over and then sat down beside him.

No matter how Lin Fan looked at it, this really seemed like how a daughter would introduce her boyfriend to her parents. Though it wasn’t as if there was anything wrong with saying that it was like this.

After all, Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan had gone further than what a normal boyfriend and girlfriend would do.

They had already seen each other at their most vulnerable, they had seen each other au naturel, so there really wasn’t anything that they could say that would be able to deny this.

Of course, it wasn’t as if Ye Qing Huan’s parents needed to know that…though Lin Fan suspected that they did.

When it came to cultivators, they had special methods for determining these things. After all, if one were to lose that, there would usually be something like an excess of yin or yang energy…

After a moment of silence, Ye Qing Huan’s father said, “So I’ve heard a little bit about you already, but why don’t you tell me a bit more. I want to hear about all of the different things that you’re currently involved with right now.”

Lin Fan gave a cough to calm himself down before telling them about all the things that he took care of. Of course, there were certain things that he omitted from this list like the dungeon and his involvement with the Laver Empire.

These weren’t things that they needed to know about.

Once he was done, Ye Qing Huan’s father and mother gave a nod before saying, “That’s quite impressive that you were able to accomplish all of this at such a young age.”

“Not to mention that you did it all in a short period of time.” Ye Qing Huan’s mother added.

Lin Fan wasn’t surprised that they knew all of this, but that just went to show the level of power that the Ye Family had that they were able to get all of this information. If they wanted, he believed that they would be able to find his entire life history with just the information network of the Ye Family.

Though the part that he showed others wasn’t that hidden in the first place.

Once they were done asking this, the next thing that Ye Qing Huan’s father asked was, “It seems like you’re quite close to quite a few other girls.”

Lin Fan couldn’t help falling into a daze once more.

He had already expected them to have this information since they had already dug out his family history. It was just that he didn’t expect Ye Qing Huan’s father to suddenly ask something like this.

Ye Qing Huan was the one that answered by saying, “Isn’t that just normal? You should see all of the girls that my uncles have.”

Ye Qing Huan’s father gave an awkward cough when he heard this before saying, “You shouldn’t look to them as an example. Don’t you see that your father only has your mother by his side?”

“You’re special, but I don’t mind. I’m quite close with them as well.” Ye Qing Huan said in a casual tone that made her father knit his brows slightly.

Lin Fan couldn’t help feeling very awkward as he sat there.

This was the first time that he had ever seen something like this.

A father was questioning the philandering boyfriend’s ways and the girlfriend was defending the boyfriend…

If this happened in his past life, there was no doubt that it would have provided a very excellent basis for a drama.

But in this life, it was something that could be considered normal…

There was an awkward silence that filled the air after Ye Qing Huan said this. Her father didn’t say anything as he waited for a response from Lin Fan.

In the end, Lin Fan just said, “I love all of them.”

Ye Qing Huan’s father narrowed his eyes to look at Lin Fan as if he had his doubts, but his eyes relaxed in the end as he didn’t say anything else on this matter.

After all, the way that Lin Fan said this was as if he was also saying, “I love her as much as I love them.”

At the very least, he didn’t play any favourites, so it wasn’t as if his daughter would be bullied. But for someone like him who devoted himself to only his wife, then it was certainly something that he didn’t want to see.

This would have been normal in his past life, but it was strange in his current life.

Ye Qing Huan’s mother was the one that interrupted next by saying to Ye Qing Huan, “Come with me for a bit. There’s something that I want to give you.”

Ye Qing Huan stood up with a nod before following her mother out of the room.

In the end, it was only Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan’s father who were left in the room where they sat in awkward silence.

However, Lin Fan didn’t actually feel that awkward about all of this.

Rather, there was a bit of familiarity in this for him since it reminded him very much of his past life. It even made him miss the life that he had left behind…even if he had never had a girlfriend and had experienced this kind of normal family experience before.

Still, it felt nostalgic to him since it reminded him of his previous life.

This really was an experience that he hadn’t had since coming to this cultivation world, but that didn’t mean that this was a bad experience. This kind of experience was quite endearing in its own way.

As Lin Fan was lost in his thoughts, he didn’t notice Ye Qing Huan’s father slowly standing up and moving towards him.

Lin Fan was completely caught off guard, but he was still able to react in the end since Ye Qing Huan’s father had raised his hand before bringing this sword down. He had been given a warning to a certain extent.

When the sword fell down, it fell right in between Lin Fan’s legs where his crotch was.

If it was a bit more forward, then it would have hit a certain place.

Seeing that he missed, Ye Qing Huan’s father gave a click of his tongue before saying. “Tch, I missed.”
