Mu Bao Bao couldn’t help slightly knitting her brows when she heard this before turning to look at Lin Fan.

He just looked back at her to show his support without actually trying to influence her.

After all, this was a decision that Mu Bao Bao had to make on her own since it was one that would affect her deeply. As such, Lin Fan almost seemed like he was evading her gaze with how he turned his head slightly to the side.

In the end, Mu Bao Bao simply said, “There’s no need for compensation.”

Only Deng Ying didn’t seem to accept this refusal as he shook his head to say, “No, this is something that I should do as your great grandfather and the ancestor of the Deng Family.”

Mu Bao Bao once again slightly knitted her brows when she heard this, but she didn’t get the chance to refuse as he said, “It’s not something that’s bad for you, it’s related to your cultivation.”

It’s a simple fact that different places will have different resources and there are places that have more resources.” Deng Ying said in a calm voice even with Mu Bao Bao glaring at him.

Though she was glaring at him, it wasn’t as if she could actually deny what Deng Ying was saying since what he said was the truth.

Still, it wasn’t as if the truth didn’t sting.

Deng Ying saw the look on Mu Bao Bao’s face, so he continued by saying, “I know that you won’t accept anything that’s past a certain point, but this is something that will certainly be of use to you.”

Without another word, he handed a Storage Ring over to Mu Bao Bao.

She had a doubtful look on her face when she heard this, but she still took it and checked what was inside. After she did, the expression on her face slowly changed until it became complicated.

The Fire Fist King and the Poison King shook their heads, almost as if they were teasing Lin Fan.

Instead, they waved their hands at Yan Tian Ta and Hong Xi to bring something over for Lin Fan.

Lin Fan took this and found that it was another mission that he was being assigned. But unlike last time, it wasn’t a simple mission where he would be relying on the True Fire Squad and the Wisteria Squad to do everything.

Instead, it was up to Lin Fan to do everything this time.

It even stated that Yan Tian Ta and Hong Xi would just be coming along as his proctors rather than as his subordinates and helpers.

When he looked at them, he could see that they awkwardly looked away from him.

Since it was the Fire Fist King and the Poison King giving these orders, it wasn’t as if they could go against them.
