Whenever he wanted some quiet or to disappear for a few days, he would stay there.

He intended to take Scarlett there now.

The apartment not only had a great location, but the best thing about it was its reliable security, making him feel secure about Scarlett living there alone.

Seeing Scarlett wanting to say something, Knox interrupted her directly: "It’s settled, I’ll take you there now. If you really feel uncomfortable, you can help me tidy up a bit later. Anyway, the house is empty whether you go or not, and by moving in, you can give it some life instead of it being cold and quiet."

After speaking, she lowered her eyes, buried her head, and dared not look at Matthew Saxon’s expression.

A deathly silence lasted for a full minute as Matthew placed the crystal wine glass he was playing with on the table, his voice calm.

Olly dared not look at him, so she glanced at the crystal glass.

Seeing it made her heart tremble violently, cold sweat breaking out on her forehead.

The glass... initially in perfect condition, now surprisingly had cracks.

Earlier, this glass was held in Young Master’s hand.
