Chapter 1990: Cap 1985: Lena’s training…

Pov Ronan:

“(My lady, what should I say?)” (me)

“(The truth, to proclaim Zenos’s intention to duel.)” (Pride)

“(Doing this in his name without warning and consent wouldn’t be viewed with hostility?)” (me)

“(Zenos lacks understanding of other Entities; he places us all on the same level of equality without comprehending the disparity of our individualities.)” (Pride)

“(War may be patient, but it doesn’t remain idle; stagnation is uncomfortable for it, which exists for conflict.)” (Pride)

“(I obey your Will, my lady.)” (me)

I was on the other side of the universe being escorted by knights in armor who led me through a strangely normal city, with people walking around, old people sitting in squares, and children running in smiling groups.

“(This is impressive…)” (me)

People walking down the street may seem normal, but their movements are energy-free and optimized, achieving maximum efficiency with minimal energy expenditure, something that was only achieved through extensive training.

The old men sitting there had fit bodies, and their gazes were intense, as if they could perceive the smallest grain of dust around them. Even without moving, I could feel the pressure in their auras.

The children’s playful movements showed incredible mastery over their bodies, whether in agility, flexibility, endurance, or reaction speed; these children demonstrated surprising abilities.

This entire city didn’t have a single normal person. I walked through the city with the two knights silently beside me. After dozens of minutes, we arrived at the city center where a fort stood. We entered, and I was led through an intense training field to the inside of the fortress, where I soon came across a pair of rough metal doors.

“Are you hesitant to let me in?” (Me)

“Enter.” (Ayden)

The doors open and I enter alone. It wasn’t an office, it was a training room, actually a compressed space the size of a continent if my senses aren’t mistaken. Cut marks are everywhere, whether on the ground forming valleys, on the mountains splitting them in half, or even in the skies opening fissures that won’t close.

Ayden was in his full armor as always, his sword in hand emanating a strong presence. I know very well that I wouldn’t give up the slightest chance in a confrontation against him; only my mother and my older brother can face him head-on.

“Should I address you as the son of Ohara or as the Avatar of Pride?” (Ayden)

“As the Avatar of Pride.” (Me)

“So you’re here for business reasons, fulfilling the Will of Pride, I understand.” (Ayden)

He points his sword at me, emanating a great will to fight. I couldn’t refuse, or he could simply attack, thus achieving the combat he desires.

“You must already know why I’m here. I was wondering if you wanted a war or a one-on-one battle?” (me)

“Exactly, your arrival here took longer than I expected.” (Ayden)

“But I expected someone else to talk about it.” (Ayden)

“He wants to duel you, but he doesn’t understand that you wouldn’t wait forever.” (me)

“Unexpected situations keep him busy, but he will come to you.” (me)

“If he were here, then he could have the duel, but he’s not here and you don’t speak for him, do you?” (Ayden)

“…” (me)

“As I thought, his naiveté and lack of responsibility as someone in command of troops is ridiculous, but more than anything else, the lightness with which he treats my presence as his enemy is offensive.” (Ayden)

“I’ll give him two cards; he can only choose one option, or I will attack his universe with all my troops.” (Ayden)

“Are you threatening him?” (me)

“It’s not a threat, but a warning.” (Ayden)

“His actions lack critical thinking and overall vision. If he’s going to treat my presence so lightly, then I’ll treat him like a child who deserves a lesson.” (Ayden)

“(Accept it, from now on the problem falls on him; we’ll see how he reacts.)” (Pride)

“Very well, I won’t speak for him, but I’ll deliver your message.” (me)

Pov Zenos:

“Shall we begin your training?” (Lena)

“I’m at your disposal, just tell me how we’ll do this.” (Me)

Lena was in front of me, her presence was warm and gentle, each step she took towards me made the world around her blossom.

She looks at me and then at the world we are in before turning her eyes back to me, I can’t decipher her intentions or the gleam that appeared in her eyes.

“Let’s train your Aura.” (Lena)

“Living Auras are extremely rare and, apart from the few Anomalous Creatures formed from Aura, those who possess such Auras are divided into two types.” (Lena)

“The parasitic type and the origin type.” (Lena)

“A parasitic Aura, to be brief, is basically an Aura created using an extra Soul or Existential Spark independent of the source, this makes the Aura like a second entity connected to the individual, which comprises almost all users of such an Aura.” (Lena)

“The second type, a living Aura of the origin type, that’s an extra life form born from the same Existential Spark. There are only 3 with this ability, and 2 of them are here.” (Lena)

“So that’s what my Aura represents?” (me)

“Yes, you generated a new Existential Spark, a mirror of yours, and that’s what caused the transformation of your Aura, clearly accidentally.” (Lena)

“In my case, my Aura is reborn in an eternal cycle, sharing my Existential Spark.” (Lena)

“If we both represent the majority of those with this ability, then who would be the last?” (Me)

“Creation, the beginning of all existence… its Aura would be the System…” (Lena)

“…” (Me)

Hearing this was terrifying as my mind tried to comprehend the level of such a being. The System is already something that intimidates Entities carrying fundamental power, but to say it’s just an Aura seems frightening.

“Forget the rest and focus on me!” (Lena)

“…” (Me)

I stop everything and focus only on her. Her Aura emerges, and I see nothing different from before. Her Aura has always been kind, but I soon realize she never used her Aura to its full potential.

Her Aura continued to rise from her as an indistinct shadow separated from her. It had her face, but she seemed mature, wearing a simple, loose dress that covered her entire body. Her large belly was held tenderly by her two hands as if she were embracing it. Her smile was kind, and her eyes carried endless affection.

This was the image of a mother in her entirety, the symbol of what a mother is in the eyes of her child, or in the eyes of everyone, a symbol imprinted on the instincts of all creatures to be moved by such a vision.

This woman who emerged from Lena’s Aura exchanged a look with me, smiling with sincere affection. This made my heart skip a beat, but inside her large stomach I felt an endless array of Aura traces, as if all of existence were reborn from her womb.

“Controlling a living Aura is unlike anything that can be explained, in fact, it can’t even be taught.” (Lena)

“Why is our training going to be like this…” (Lena)

Suddenly, the once kind woman stopped smiling, her eyes closed, and her body thinned, revealing a shapely physique that released a primal, utterly wild Aura.

She no longer seemed like a person; she seemed like an incarnation of an entire universe. I felt as if the hostility of the very world I was standing in was concentrated solely on me. The air escaped my lungs, the light seemed to try to blind my eyes, and space itself rejected me as if I were an intruder.

But what surprised me was feeling a faint trace of spirituality, so tenuous that I could only feel it now that I had been confronted with it.

“All living beings react to danger, instincts dig into potential, so don’t try to think, just feel and if possible… survive…” (Lena)

“< Aura Synchronization: Mother Nature >” (Lena)

“< Arts of Rebirth: Cradle of Predation >” (Lena)

The Aura woman floats behind Lena and opens her from behind, an infinite source of vitality surges from them like a torrent striking everything around them, the forests rise with the trees reaching the clouds, the plants and flowers, once beautiful, take on more dangerous appearances in the dark forest, sounds of roaring and footsteps all around while billions of Auras surge like a synchronized storm coming towards me.

I wanted to move, but a delicate hand touches my shoulder and I felt as if I were in a prison unable to escape.

“This training is not for you…” (Lena)

“Just feel and observe, understand the origin.” (Lena)

“…” (me)

While Lena was speaking, the Aura woman who was embracing her had one arm out to me, then a slap hit my face, but it went through, causing my Aura to escape onto my face. The slap hit my Aura, not me.

The Eastern Dragon, who seemed half asleep, left my body and looked at the Aura woman who had struck him. The hostility was visible before he looked around, where all the presences locked onto them, sharp, cold eyes opening in the shadows to observe him.

“Begin the hunt.” (Lena)
