Chapter 1936: Cap 1932: Going on the attack...
Chapter 1936: Cap 1932: Going on the attack…
Pov Ronan:
I sat on my throne, all the information coming together in my mind. I’d spent the last two days using Familiars to monitor and investigate what Hate was doing in this universe, to no avail.
“Another failure…” (me)
“…” (me)
I felt another of my Familiars being destroyed. These warriors are strong enough to accomplish this so easily.
I was trying very hard, but so far I’ve only discovered that they’re sacrificing people en masse. I’ve also noticed that these Anomalous Creatures are strangely precise, not in their appearance, but in their behavior.
Clearly they know what I’m doing; they know, and that’s why they’re hunting my Familiars. Yet these things aren’t Anomalous Creatures.
“My Lady, could you enlighten your servant?” (me)
“(You’re on the right path, son of Ohara.)” (Pride)
“(But you’re losing sight of the objective.)” (Pride)
“What do you mean?” (me)
“(You should focus on the attack itself, not the investigation.)” (Pride)
“But without knowing the enemies, the objective, and the terrain, how can I put together a plan?” (me)
“(What is the objective of Zenos’s plan?)” (Pride)
“…” (me)
“Chaos…” (me)
Suddenly my thoughts seemed to clear. I realized Zenos’s plans, seeing the daughters of Life and Death. It was clear what he was after: multiple plans in action without coordination or cooperation, a formula for disaster.
Something I found strange until I realized how well Igor accepted this plan. That’s when I realized that a curtain of chaos could be a very good strategy against an Entity.
When even allies don’t know what to expect, there’s no way for the enemy to know how to prepare. But even knowing all this can lead to habit, my planning has always been based on solid information.
“It seems the nervousness of facing him again has affected my judgment.” (Me)
“(Knowing Hatred, you don’t need to worry about that Avatar anymore.)” (Pride)
“(Hate gives only one opportunity, and that would be for another version of her Avatar; she’s never been able to accept failure.)” (Pride)
“What do you mean, another version of her Avatar?” (Me)
“(If an Avatar fails a mission she gives, she creates a Demon from the Hatred within them that corrupts their Souls, bodies, minds, and finally their Existential Sparks, devouring everything until only they remain as a new being.)” (Pride)
“This isn’t a second chance, this is a replacement.” (me)
“(If they fail again, then they are destroyed, nothing remains of them, not even their Existential Sparks.)” (Pride)
“…” (me)
That was absurd. Accomplishing that shouldn’t even be possible, or so I thought until now, but I soon realized something else: this means that the Avatar will be stronger, everything about them will be more refined and strengthened by the Concept of Hatred, which will restructure their entire existence at a fundamental level.
“(Since the goal is to cause Chaos, then I have the perfect plan…)” (me)

Pov Urd:
I look at 89. He was staring into the void between the stars, his eyes unfocused. He was completely still as if he had become a statue, but his Aura was still without any abnormalities or apparent emotions.
“89, tell me what’s bothering you?” (me)
“Urak…” (89)
“I don’t know what to do with her…” (89)
“If you ask, then Zenos should let you get revenge on her. Maybe you’re part of Zenos’s plan for her.” (me)
“…” (89)
“What is it?” (me)
“…” (89)
Something isn’t right. He turns his face to me, but his eyes look confused. He seems to want to say something, but doesn’t know how. I just wait. Anyway, Nala is already preparing the steps for my plan.
“Don’t overthink it, just tell me how you feel and what you think. Maybe I can help, and even if it’s not enough, at least I can point you to someone capable of helping you.” (me)
“I… should I get revenge…?” (89)
“…” (me)
This time I was the one caught off guard. His eyes were innocent, but his Aura was as firm as a mountain. I don’t feel like he’s lying.
“(He doesn’t hold a grudge…?)” (me)
That was impossible. I know he doesn’t like the Ascended, especially those who tortured him with their experiments. I saw it inside him.
“Explain better.” (me)
“I… I don’t know how to explain…” (89)
“Before, my mind was always confused… my emotions were an uncontrolled whirlwind… the only thing holding everything together was the pain, continuous, uninterrupted pain.” (89)
“I couldn’t form complex thoughts; I just wanted the pain to stop. That’s when Davoth appeared alongside Hades and Hajak… something about them helped me think better.” (89)
“I wanted to stop the pain… I wanted freedom… I wanted more… but I didn’t know what that more was…” (89)
“I felt anger… I felt hate… I felt fear, and most of all, I felt loneliness…” (89)
“Besides the endless pain, only loneliness accompanied me… now I don’t feel any of that anymore.” (89)
“I no longer feel pain, I’m no longer alone, I’m freer than I ever imagined possible, and… I’m happy…?” (89)
“Why that questioning tone at the end?” (me)
I approach him, smiling as my hand strokes his brown hair, a small smile spreading across his face.
“This is the first time I’ve felt these feelings… happiness, comfort, joy, and the love you always show. I don’t even think about what I felt before. Why waste my time with those feelings?” (89)
“That’s wonderful, that’s right, child. Why waste time with such negative things?” (me)
I was happy to hear his words, but I knew he wasn’t done, so I waited. After all, he hadn’t mentioned Urak yet.
“I don’t want revenge, I don’t want to kill her, I don’t want to torture her, I don’t want her to suffer…” (89)
“Why?” (me)
“Her eyes were different, whenever she showed up for her experiments, always sad… her hands often trembled… but at the end of each experiment, she always caressed my body just once before leaving.” (89)
“…” (me)
“(Urak… your path has become too twisted, but you still can’t let go of the past…” (me)
Sigh
“Do you want to free her?” (me)
“I… I don’t know…” (89)
“She’s the closest thing I have to a creator. I see that everyone has a name, something that identifies them as a person, as themselves… I want that…” (89)
“I can give you a name, but you refused.” (me)
“I didn’t want a name like that…” (89)
“You can do like me, give yourself a name, something that represents you.” (me)
“No, that’s not it either… I want… I want her to give me a name…” (89)
“Why does it have to be her? Because she’s your mother?” (me)
“I don’t know… I don’t know why it has to be her… I don’t know what that word should mean… Mother… I don’t even know what I feel…” (89)
“My only certainty is that it has to be her.” (89)
“Then it will be…” (me)
Such a good child didn’t deserve what he went through, didn’t deserve to be so confused about it. Urak committed so many horrible acts, but the worst of them was committed against the one he held most dear.

Pov Zenos:
I was once again in that meeting place. Everyone was already there, except for Davoth. I thought he’d be the last to show up.
“Where’s Davoth?” (Me)
“He’s already left.” (Urd)
“I see…” (Me)
It seems Davoth was already implementing his plan, so I won’t get involved in this anymore. I’ll know when the time comes.
“We’re all ready, we can leave whenever you want.” (Lena)
“Urd, can you take us all there?” (Me)
“I can, but where are we going?” (Urd)
“As I said before, our target is the universal core, so that’s where we’re going.” (Me)
“I can’t believe you’re considering continuing this way.” (Igor)
“Aren’t we even going to talk about this before the attack?” (Igor)
“No, that would defeat the purpose of the initial plan.” (Cortana)
“We need to go and leave these doubts behind. Remember not to expect anything. You’ll have to adapt to the situation as it unfolds.” (Me)
“Can I open the portal? Is there anyone else to bring?” (Urd)

POV ??? (Avatar of Hate):
I was facing the Universal Core. It looked like a black sun emitting purple light in all directions. Around it was a ring of liquid kratal formed by all the other Universal Cores in this universe. It was difficult to accomplish.
Behind me was Xande, his eyes still trying to bore into my head from behind. He was dragging the chained black stone coffin through space.
“Give me the coffin.” (Me)
“As you command.” (Xande)
Spitting out each word, he hands me the chain, so I pull it to my front where I brace myself and pick up that damned book once more.
“I surrender to your Will… Hatred…” (me)
“(As it always will be!)” (Hatred)
What followed was a flood of something bigger than me, bigger and older. I felt as if I were being clothed like a garment, something behind my flesh and bones, controlling my body.
I felt my power and Soul being manipulated. When the book opened, the pages were turned one after the other, and it was as if my Soul were being ripped apart repeatedly. The pain was so intense that I lost all sense of the outside world as agony took over.
When the pain finally subsided, everything was back to normal. My Soul and body were whole, and I was back under the control of my body gate. The Infernal Grimoire was clasped at my waist, while the coffin had disappeared.
Behind me, Xande was in pieces, and what stood in his place was a flaming shadow of pure darkness with purple eyes.
Looking ahead, the dark sun with the ring around it had changed. There was a sphere of purple light at its center, with purple chains stretching across the sun and attached to the rings outside. A horrific energy emitted, far worse than I expected, as strange line patterns formed around the entire Universal Core.
