Chapter 1934 1934: Cap 1930: Infernal Grimoire

POV ??? (Avatar of Hatred):

I was sitting in my ship with an ancient book in my hands. Its pages were made from the leather of Anomalous Beasts, its cover was made from the bones of some God still emitting traces of Divinity, and the ink used was pure Infernal energy.

Just having this book open was causing the entire room to corrode as if acid were covering everything. The extremely strong smell of blood permeated the entire room, and Demonic whispers could be heard as if surrounded by hidden Demons.

When I touched a page of the book, trying to turn to another, a storm of evil energy gushed toward me, making my hand tremble slightly.

The writing on the book was difficult-to-decipher runes from a language that exists only in Hell. Encoded in a bizarre way, it made it difficult to comprehend the information. They weren’t even arranged in a straight line; each page had different forms of writing with different interpretations.

This was the most complex book I’d ever laid my hands on. It was a struggle to understand even a single word, and it was a mental effort to assemble what little I discovered into comprehensible information. It was irritating to the point of hating every moment with this disgrace in my trembling hands.

My skin burned, my blood dried, my vitality continually drained, and my Soul vibrated, yet it wasn’t fatal for an Avatar like me.

Tink!!

“Finally, an excuse to stop…” (me)

I closed the book, and all the commotion in this room stopped. The walls, ceiling, and floor were no longer corroding. The smell of blood faded as red stains painted every corner. A black mist settled in the room before I opened a crystal jar, sucking all the mist inside before closing it, causing the Demonic whispers to cease.

“Sealing command, code 0.” (me)

“[Seal deactivated]”

Soon the metal doors open and a thin Human with dark eyes drops to one knee, bowing his head in respect.

“My lord, we’ve reached the planet.” (Xande)

“Thank goodness, I was tired of using that damn Grimoire…” (me)

I try to throw the damn thing away, but in mid-air it curves around and attaches itself to my belt again. That damn thing never leaves my side.

“(Damned Infernal Artifact…)” (me)

I leave the room with that man following closely behind, servilely. I can feel his gaze filled with murderous intent trying to pierce my skull from behind. At least he has more courage than the last servant.

Walking through the metal corridors to the ship’s doors, where I descend a ramp, I’m greeted by human-sized beasts, all resembling primates with the head of a beast disproportionate to the rest of their bodies, sometimes larger, sometimes smaller.

I see them holding out files, which they hand to the man behind me as we pass them before dispersing.

I continue walking through a large, half-ruined building as I speak to the one following close behind.

“What’s the status of the investigation?” (me)

“We found traces of the planet at the coordinates. Traces of all the Laws were detected, as well as Divine power, but the planet is no longer there… sir…” (Xande)

“So they moved the planet after being found by the Ascended…” (me)

It’s been a headache hunting down that damned Entity of Law. I’ve looked everywhere for them and still can’t find them. I’ve even scattered the Anomalous Creatures everywhere and still haven’t found any records of their whereabouts.

“(I need to find them, or the doors to the other universes won’t open.)” (me)

The new flow of dark energy I created is being constantly restricted by the Flow of Laws. The Ascended have also all been taken, and I have no way to extend our influence to the other universes conquered by the Ascended.

“How is the conversion process going?” (me)

“The entire planet has already been cleansed; the candidates with the highest Void coefficient have been brought here.” (Xande)

“We have 8 Knight-type Incarnations of Hatred.” (Xande)

“Useless trash, beings who can’t even maintain a rational mind!” (me)

“What else!?” (me)

“It seems they hope to create something of higher quality.” (Xande)

The conversion rate in this universe may be higher, but so far it hasn’t come close to what was expected. Our years are progressing as they should, I will be better from now on.

I am a Demon born of Hatred. I was born from this individual and devoured everything from him. I devoured his mind, body, Soul, and even his Existential Spark. All the hatred he felt only fueled me, and yet I could do nothing until the Entity allowed it.

His failure to achieve any remotely acceptable result led to his being discarded by the Entity of Hatred, thus becoming my fodder for my birth, which means inheriting his memories, mission, and responsibilities.

“A decaying place. There are no screams, not even the hatred I expected.” (me)

“The conversion process proved more efficient with them unconscious.” (Xande)

“I know, but it still sucks to just watch.” (me)

Leaving the ruined building, I find myself faced with a destroyed city, fallen vehicles, and black roots pulsing everywhere, passing over corpses. On a slightly tilted building, many of these roots led to the top of the building, where a plant hung, forming what looked like a transparent womb with something swimming inside.

“That one will also be a failure. Try redirecting its power to another and see if you can get something more useful!” (me)

“(All this stupidity is trying my patience…)” (me)

“The first one I see when I arrive, and it’s already a waste.” (me)

“I’ll take care of it…” (Xande)

Leaving him behind, I advanced alone through the ruins. The contents of that Grimoire were still forming in my mind, and with it, I could understand more of what was happening around me.

I could see the Souls being carried by the winds before gathering at the monument in the city center. The flesh and blood of those unsuitable are used while still alive to nourish the embryos. All the resentment and hatred we’ve gathered is then used from the very foundation of formation, structuring an embryonic body that will only then receive a malignant Soul made from the Souls tortured within the monument.

I glanced to a corner where an Anomalous creature approached. Its lower body was that of a skeletal lizard covered in a dark blue liquid, its upper body a humanoid creature covered in blue scales and a lizard’s head.

“Sir, the Souls are ready: 29 first-class, 2 second-class, and one transcendental-class.” (Razyr)

“Use the jewel of indignation on the most powerful soul, completely corrupt the Existential Spark, and prepare the coffin for transport.” (Me)

“As you command…” (Razyr)

After hearing my orders, he turned and ran toward the monument in the city center. Meanwhile, I looked up at the sky filled with thick, black clouds, a condensation of miasma generated by the refined hatred across this planet.

I only had to look around to realize that it would take years to condense naturally here. It only gathered within a few hundred kilometers. It’s not enough, and I don’t have time to waste.

“< Seal of Ancient Hatred: Condense >” (me)

From the palm of my hand, an ancient seal with sharp curves emerges, reaching for the heavens. Soon, a whirlpool forms, sucking up all this miasma in minutes until nothing remains but a purple sky, from which a black pendant with the same seal shining within fell.

“With this, I complete 10,000 World Grudge Crystals. Now I need to refine a consciousness of sin, but which of the 7 types should I…” (me)

“(You still don’t understand the Infernal Grimoire. Use the 7 sins to return to the origin, refine the consciousness of original sin!)” (Hatred)

“My lord, this will take at least 10 years. I don’t know if our preparations will last that long. The core is already 96% complete, the Soul is finishing preparing now, and I also have the necessary number of World Grudge Crystals.” (me)

“Unfortunately, without a vessel, the Soul will corrode to destruction, and the core may spawn an Anomalous Creature, wasting our preparations.” (me)

“(Complete the body, Soul, and core! Form the vessel of the Dark Existential Spark, and I myself will refine the consciousness.)” (Hatred)

“(Take everything to…)” (Hatred)

While listening to Hate’s instructions, I arrived at the monument in time to see a 2-meter-high coffin made of rough black stone open as ethereal chains stretched into the stone monument, resembling a tangle of bodies trying to tear the heavens apart.

Razyr bowed toward me and signaled for the others to act. They had been expecting my presence. It seemed this Soul was stronger than expected.

“(In the end, this trip doesn’t seem to have been so bad after all…)” (me)

Soon, these chains pulled a Soul out. This Soul resembled an ethereal silhouette of a woman, light purple in color. Her entire body was covered in floating writings as if she were the embodiment of an ancient book. Her eyes were flaming black, and her long hair floated like a veil of blood-red threads around her. There were no other features on this Soul, not even enough outlines or lines to form a face.

“< Jewel of Indignation: Activate >” (Razyr)

“< Mantra of Ancient Malice: Sowing Hatred >” (me)

Within seconds, the half-dead lizard released a fist-shaped jewel that opened into a large crystal palm containing dozens of small eyes before grabbing the Soul’s neck, which struggled, nearly breaking the chains that held it.

At that moment, I grab that damned Grimoire at my waist and use my Concept of Hatred to open a specific page where my Concept of Hatred channels infernal magic.

The entire space trembles as a column of darkness surrounds the stone coffin along with that Soul. The writings on its body change, evolving into Runic Writings, while the jewel squeezing its neck transforms into a choker with an eye on the front.

The Soul stops struggling and closes its eyes as its presence strengthens. My hands tremble as the Soul is quickly pulled into the coffin, which closes with chains, sealing the coffin shut.

I close the Infernal Grimoire, feeling a bit weak. The Grimoire seemed to be trying to absorb my hand until a blast of the Concept of Hatred pushes it away, and once again, it bends through the air, flying back to my waist.

I was irritated by this damned book, so I don’t even look at anyone as I turn to give orders to the others.

“Get this coffin on the ship!” (me) ᴛʜs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛʀ s ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛ ʙʏ N0velFire.et

I cannot fail like my predecessor, or this time this existence will be destroyed completely.
