Will of chaos

Chapter 1893: Cap 1889: Demonic Chaos Part 6

Seeing that gray wing streaking through space was surprising, but not as much as the delay in realizing what that thing was.

“It seems only Urak escaped. I had Nala bring it to us.” (Urd)

“You felt it, didn’t you?” (me)

“The power of Concept. There were two, and I could only identify one of them.” (Urd)

“They were Curse and Hatred. I’ve felt those powers before, so I’m sure.” (me)

Even from so far away, it was impossible not to feel it. The two powers were constantly colliding. At the Rules Meeting, I felt those Concepts—or rather, they revealed themselves.

“Before becoming an Entity, you could already see through the eyes of the Ascended. Can’t you see what’s happening to them?” (me)

“I’m trying, but it seems like they’re blocking me… I can’t share their senses, much less sense their positions. The only thing I can do is tell they’re alive with my marks still on their Souls.” (Urd)

“(What was that thing…?)” (me)

I was lost in thought about everything that happened, but my focus wasn’t on the Ascended Ones’ well-being, my focus was entirely on this creature. There was no way something could exist with two Concepts like that. Entities are all inherently selfish and protective of their Concepts. They wouldn’t share a Servant, much less an Avatar. Not to mention that the power level I sensed from that thing was close to that of an Avatar.

“Wait… it can’t be…” (me)

Suddenly, an idea crossed my mind. It was a wing. Even though it was gray, it still looked very similar to the Ascended Ones’ wings and clearly carried the power of the Law. If I combined that with the power of the Curse, its identity became obvious.

“Did you discover anything, Zenos?” (Urd)

“No need to think too hard, that was Vecna, even so different, I still recognize his presence.” (Davoth)

“So it really was him, but how did he get the Concept of Hatred?” (me)

“Vecna…?” (Urd)

“Hate likes to push those steeped in hatred deeper. He must have done something to him. Perhaps he’s seeking a distraction from his plans, or simply wants to prevent Curse from achieving his goals.” (Davoth)

“What do you mean?” (me)

“As an Entity, you two are still too young and innocent; your eyes are focused only on this universe.” (Davoth)

“Curse chose to take Vecna from outside this universe. From what Urd said, he must have been trying to transform him into an Avatar so he could use his access to the Flow of Laws to take everything.” (Davoth)

“The Flow of Ascending Laws is not limited to this universe; it permeates all of them that have been conquered by the Ascended. Vecna could make the Concept of Curse flow throughout all these other universes, and after a victor emerged in this universe, he could attack the Flow of Laws here from all directions.” (Davoth)

“If it worked, he would have everything. If it didn’t, he would still have all the other universes.” (Davoth)

“If you knew that, why didn’t you say so sooner?” (I)

“It wouldn’t have worked against you. The power of Chaos is especially effective against some Concepts, and Curse is among them.” (Davoth)

Ding!

<[ The System notifies Individuals [ Zenos ] and [ Davoth ] of Transcendental-level knowledge ]>

<[ The System prohibits you from acquiring Transcendental-level knowledge not directly related to current situations because you haven’t completed your [ Transcendence ] ]>

“…” (me)

“It seems I can’t talk about it, but you’ll find out eventually.” (Davoth)

I didn’t expect to be restricted like this, so directly by the System. This wasn’t a normal notification, but rather a direct warning from the System itself.

“Transcendental Knowledge? What’s that?” (Urd)

“Did you also receive the notifications?” (me)

“Yes, but it seems I don’t have enough Transcendental Authority and am under some kind of evaluation.” (Urd)

“Believe me, this is progress. The Ascendant Laws weren’t well-regarded before, just the fact that the System is integrating them in a limited way shows something.” (Davoth)

“But let’s not stray from the conversation.” (Davoth)

“Yes, let’s talk about what Hatred did. He blocked Curse’s plans, that’s clear, but how?” (me)

“I don’t know. Each Concept has its own characteristics, and they vary greatly, but that’s not what you should be thinking about right now.” (Davoth)

“The real problem is that Vecna contains two conflicting Concepts and is not being controlled by the Entities that originated those Concepts.” (Davoth)

“Does that mean he’s in danger?” (Urd)

“Yes, his Soul will be charred by the Concepts and his Existential Spark crushed. His body will become an uncontrollable Creature of Origin, and in a few centuries or millennia, he may even possess a new ego completely influenced by the characteristics of those two Concepts.” (Davoth)

“How long will it take for that to happen?” (me)

“Around 1 or 2 years, but he won’t realize it.” (Davoth)

“Vecna must think he has the situation under control; his arrogance is that high.” (Urd)

“Knowing his ways, he will try to share this power with other Ascended, increasing his strength through numbers.” (Urd)

“Yes, I thought of that too, that’s why I’m here to warn you. Be careful, he’ll target you first, considering you a risk to his supposed absolute Authority.” (Davoth)

Davoth and Urd know Vecna best. If they say he’ll act like this, then I can only believe it. He probably doesn’t even realize he’s actually a disposable piece for Hatred, he probably doesn’t even realize his importance to Curse beforehand. Being treated like a toy like this by these two Entities is truly a horrible end for the one who ruled the Ascended.

“(Well done, your inability to comprehend your situation is a delight to me. I can only imagine your face when you realize it one day…)” (me)

15 hours later.

Ding!

<[ The Demonic Chaos Begins in 31:36 hours ]>

“30 hours, that’s not enough time…” (me)

Sigh

I look at the Twins approaching the Star Palace. They both looked worried as they landed behind me, as I continued to stare at the stars.

“Please tell me it’s not a problem anymore?” (me)

“Not exactly, actually, we’re worried about something else.” (Lena)

“What happened?” (me)

“That Santa Corpus you threw in here disappeared. It was stored using our powers, but it vanished without a trace.” (Cortana)

“This shouldn’t happen… Tarzor!?” (me)

Soon, the space next to the Star Palace contorts into a Dragon face that begins to speak.

“Don’t ask me, I don’t know… I didn’t notice anything until it disappeared, and that’s when I informed the Twins.” (Tarzor)

“Why didn’t you speak to me directly?” (me)

“You’re already overwhelmed, everyone can see that.” (Lena)

“…” (me)

“We found this. It was a wisp of Chaos power. Perhaps it was due to an Origin item. Most likely, Pride retrieved Raakoy’s body to destroy, or it could be Curse wanting to use that body in his curse experiments.” (Cortana)

“(It was her…)” (me)

What Cortana showed was a small piece of ethereal bandage, the same ledge I saw on her arms. This was left there on purpose. She wanted me to know she took that Holy Body.

“I think I already know who it was, but let’s talk about that later. We still have a more pressing matter to deal with.” (me)

“If you’re talking about the ’Event’ that Callidora’s Envoy is creating, Cortana and I can’t directly participate. The same goes for Urd.” (Lena)

“I see, then I can only take Sarazar and Lolth…” (me)

“I could take Nala and No. 89, I still don’t understand why he doesn’t have a name.” (Lena)

“He didn’t want a name, at least not from Urd. She seems to know what he’s looking for, so leave it in his hands.” (me)

“But is there anything I need to know?” (me)

“All the Gods who were undergoing the transformation also disappeared at the same time as the Holy Body, also without a trace, only the Sage Dragon was left still undergoing the transformation.” (Lena)

“That wretch…!” (me)

Sigh

“Okay, let’s leave that aside too!” (me)

I can think about her later. I need to focus on what’s closest to happening. There are many enemies together, I need to be careful and prepare.

I look at my hands. I can feel the power of the Concept within me. I still can’t fully master it, I can’t even use it outside my body after hours of training.

“(I need to at least get it to a usable state; it’ll be my trump card if needed.)” (me)

“Who else will you take?” (Cortana)

“I’ll take my Familiars, I’ll also take Hades, I’ll take his two Avatars, and I’ll also talk to Urd about taking No. 89. Besides them, Davoth has already said he’ll participate.” (me)

“I won’t take my children or the other Gods. No one who can’t fight the Power of the Concept will go.” (me)

“A wise decision, I’ll let them know then.” (Lena)

“I’ll go too…” (Cortana)

“Wait, I need you for something. I need help with my training.” (me)

30 hours later

Ding!

<[ The Demonic Chaos Begins in 1:23 hours ]>

“Is everyone ready?” (me)

“Yes, my lord.” (Hades)

“How was your training?” (Davoth)

“Worse than I expected, time was very short.” (me)

“Then avoid using your Concept. An out-of-control Concept will be dangerous, not only for you, but for them as well.” (Davoth)

“I know, Cortana warned me.” (me)

“Sir, the ship is ready, we can depart.” (No. 89)

We are all inside a ship, a ship built by my daughter Nicole. It possesses Anomalous and Divine power. It has also been implemented with some Ascendant Laws. The strangest thing is that this ship looks more like a stylized aircraft carrier with bones and a Dragon’s head on the front.

A ship that draws a lot of unnecessary attention, but its defensive and offensive capabilities leave no doubt for me to use. With my warning, the ship moves through a portal directly to the target area.

“So we see…” (me)
