Chapter 1103: Chapter 122: Chen Wen’s Sincerity

The shirtless captain didn’t expect Arseny to be so stubborn.

He didn’t dare to use the gun; they hadn’t brought many guns, only one, and the others had close combat weapons.

Fighting to the end, he naturally didn’t dare.

The shirtless captain was silent for a while, then suddenly threw away the shotgun in his hand: “The local Hunter Group is quite interesting. I’ve lost this time.”

Arseny snorted and said, “You broke the rules, don’t blame us. Tie them up!”

Behind him, other hunters took out ropes and began to restrain the shirtless captain and his men.

Once all of the shirtless captain’s people were captured, Arseny finally breathed a sigh of relief.

If they had kept fighting, both sides would undoubtedly end up badly hurt.

Now is a law-governed society, unlike before. In such deep mountains and forests, if a group dies, no one would know.

After dealing with things here, Arseny then looked at the Northeast Tiger.

He directed people to carefully transfer the Northeast Tiger into a cage, then used a dagger to cut the ropes binding it, freeing the tiger.

During this time, the Northeast Tiger didn’t move at all.

It had been tormented until it had no energy, not even able to make a sound.

Chen Wen waited at a distance during this time until Arseny and his team sealed the cage, only then did he join Arseny.

When Arseny saw Chen Wen coming over, an excited expression suddenly appeared on his face, completely different from the person who was ready to fight to the end earlier.

He excitedly put his arm around Chen Wen’s shoulder, saying, “Brother, thank you so much! If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t have managed to catch these people right in the act this time.”

“The main thing is that we moved quickly, caught up before they rested, otherwise things would be much more complicated if they recovered.”

Hearing this, Chen Wen said nothing more.

He just pointed to the Northeast Tiger and said, “Do you have any medicine? I’ll treat its wounds.”

Arseny was a bit surprised; he hadn’t expected Chen Wen to say such a thing.

But Arseny still had someone bring some medicine for cleaning external wounds and handed it to Chen Wen.

Watching Chen Wen preparing to apply medicine to the Northeast Tiger, Arseny couldn’t help but say, “Be careful, brother. This guy’s wildness hasn’t faded; it may attack you when it feels pain!”

Chen Wen gave a slight nod and walked to the Northeast Tiger’s side.

His hand could just reach through the cage, and under everyone’s tense gaze, Chen Wen pulled off the black cloth covering the tiger’s eyes.

The Northeast Tiger sensed something unusual, and its tense mood immediately became agitated.

But when it saw its surroundings and Chen Wen’s face clearly, the tiger was stunned.

It never expected to see Chen Wen again, much less that Chen Wen would rescue it.

Chen Wen gently reached out his hand and stroked the tiger’s fur.

He whispered softly, “Don’t be scared, I’m here.”

The Northeast Tiger made a sound akin to a whimper, continuously rubbing its head against Chen Wen’s palm.

This scene stunned everyone around, including those tied-up hunters.

They never expected this wild Northeast Tiger to display such affection toward a complete stranger.

Arseny was also slack-jawed, with a look of disbelief.

The Northeast Tiger wasn’t in the condition to speak right now. Since being captured yesterday, Arseny and the group hadn’t fed it to make it easier to control.

Chen Wen examined the tiger’s condition, then turned to Arseny: “Do you have any raw meat or something? Feed it a bit, otherwise it’ll starve. This creature has eating habits more geared towards human society: three meals a day, small but frequent meals.”

Arseny paused for a moment but quickly nodded, and had someone bring a can of beef.

Chen Wen rinsed the beef with clean water, placed it inside the cage, while the Northeast Tiger took its opportunity to eat the canned food.

While the Northeast Tiger was eating, Chen Wen began applying medicine to the tiger’s wounds.

During the process, although the tiger felt pain, it showed no intention of harming Chen Wen. Even at its most painful, it only emitted a suppressed low growl.

After finishing with the medicine, Chen Wen clapped his hands, leaving the Northeast Tiger to recover its strength slowly.

It was then that Arseny came to Chen Wen’s side.

He looked at Chen Wen thoughtfully and asked, “This guy, you’ve met it before, haven’t you?”

Chen Wen straightforwardly nodded, “Yes.”

“Was it watching over food at your camp?”

Arseny felt like many things made sense: “You’ve already tamed it?”

Chen Wen nodded again.

Now Arseny was a bit puzzled.

He couldn’t help but say: “You had the chance to save it; you were at the back of the team. You could’ve easily reached me with a dagger, controlled me, and freed the tiger’s restraints. You could’ve even used our conflict with them to your advantage.”

Arseny spoke, looking at that group of hunters.

In fact, even now, Chen Wen has the opportunity to directly control Arseny.

But Chen Wen merely smiled and said, “You are my friend, it is my friend too. Hurting one friend for the other would be painful for me.”

These words left Arseny momentarily speechless.

He opened his mouth, but the words he intended to say were swallowed back.

He couldn’t possibly release the Northeast Tiger; it was crucial to their team.

But this also evoked a sense of guilt within Arseny.

However, Chen Wen didn’t allow Arseny to wallow in guilt for too long. He patted Arseny’s shoulder and said, “If you really want to help me, can you tell me something about the owner of this Northeast Tiger?”

Hearing this, Arseny’s eyes moved thoughtfully, saying, “Are you planning to… approach its owner?”

“Don’t say ‘approach’. That word sounds terrible.”

Chen Wen replied with a smile, “I prefer to call it communication. I plan to communicate with its owner to see if I can get some assistance from them, to have its owner willing to hear some things from me and agree with some of my views.”

Upon hearing this, Arseny seriously said, “I can help you, but Chen Wen, I hope you understand, this creature’s owner is no ordinary person. Her situation is likely to be very complex, you should be prepared.”

Chen Wen nodded and said, “I understand, when I encountered this creature before, I noticed some clues from its appearance. Look at its collar: pure gold, and the leather on it is not ordinary either.”

At these words, Arseny quickly glanced over, then couldn’t help but exclaim.

Indeed it is!

Chen Wen continued, “Knowing who this creature’s owner is, I plan to communicate, but I will need your cooperation…”
