Chapter 1100: Chapter 119: Hunter Group

Storage camp.

Chen Wen, the lynx, and the Golden Eagle quickly arrived here.

The situation here was not much different from a few days ago; everything was still the same as before.

The only noticeable difference was some new traces and the absence of a Northeast Tiger learning to become a beast.

Chen Wen approached a spot with new traces.

This was a mark left by something being crushed.

Standard rectangular shape, very large, very heavy.

If nothing unexpected happens, this mark was likely left by the iron cage holding the Northeast Tiger!

Aside from the cage impression, Chen Wen also saw some footprints.

“It looks like more people came here than Arseny’s Hunter Group!”

Chen Wen couldn’t help but say.

He felt something was off.

And something even more peculiar appeared; through the footprints, Chen Wen saw two entirely different shoe prints.

Chen Wen heard Boris mention this; to show the formality of their brotherhood Hunter Club, they wore standardized uniforms when taking commissions.

The shoes were uniformly customized outdoor footwear.

Yet here, there were two types of shoe prints, indicating two different teams had come.

This surprised Chen Wen.

“Golden Eagle, go check out the lake surface to see if you can find any boats.”

Chen Wen said.

If the Northeast Tiger was caught by Arseny and his group, they would surely bring it to the speedboat and deliver it to the employer as quickly as possible to exchange for the remaining commission.

The Golden Eagle took off immediately, flying towards Lake Baikal.

Chen Wen and the lynx continued to observe the footprints around the camp.

Chen Wen was surprised to find that the footprints didn’t lead to the lakeside but headed deeper into the forest.

Could it be that they didn’t catch the Northeast Tiger on-site and let it run into the forest?

Caught it later?

Chen Wen had some guesses, but none made sense, making his head a mess.

“Forget it, let’s go find out more first!”

Chen Wen said.

He checked the stored food briefly; none had been touched.

It seemed Arseny’s people were definitely here.

They knew we were surviving nearby, and this camp isn’t far from their camp; the stored food might remind them of us.

But at this moment, the lynx made a discovery.

The lynx found a heap of dung, not from the Northeast Tiger.

The lynx said, “This person’s scent is very strong; there’s a lot of scent left behind. I can track this person’s scent and lead you to catch up.”

Chen Wen’s eyes lit up at this: “Really?”

“Absolutely!”

The lynx was very confident: “His scent is very similar to things left here, and it’s not too old; I can find him!”

Hearing this, Chen Wen decisively said: “Then let’s go! You lead the way, I’ll call the Golden Eagle over.”

While Chen Wen was summoning the Golden Eagle, he was curious.

Just how bad must this person’s smell be to resemble excrement?

…

In the forest.

A team moving quickly.

“Damn, Pasha, why do you stink so much!”

Boris grimaced, glaring at the Hunter member ahead, cursing his ancestors thoroughly in his heart.

The man called Pasha had an embarrassed expression on his face.

In front of him, another team member said gleefully: “When the incident happened this morning, this guy was taking a dump. When it all kicked off, the boss was in a hurry. He pulled up his pants midway and followed us.”

Boris cursed again: “I forgive you this time; it’s excusable. If it happens again, I’ll make your backside understand Boris’s fury!”

Pasha snorted, saying: “There won’t be a next time. This time was purely a special situation; these outsiders, Suka Bule, are simply unruly!”

“Obviously, we subdued the fellow and had it loaded into the cage. They hardly did anything and even stole our catch!”

Boris grinned: “I’ve heard of these folks; they’re notorious in the industry for such dirty deeds. The more they do, the faster they complete commissions. They’re quite well-known outside the industry.”

“Our employer this time is quite special; they only care about results, not the process. As long as the Northeast Tiger is delivered to the employer, they don’t care who brings the prey or how they do it. We have no ground to demand justice.”

“So their choice to snatch the Northeast Tiger was not hard to foresee.”

Just then, Arseny said with an unpleasant look: “If it was so predictable, why didn’t you prepare ahead? Why only realize the prey was gone after waking up this morning?”

Boris couldn’t help but smile awkwardly upon hearing this.

He cleared his throat and changed the subject: “Be cautious; we should be catching up to them. They’re carrying a cage, so they can’t go fast. Though those folks might not directly act against us, still…”

He hadn’t finished speaking when a Hunter at the front suddenly cried out: “Trouble, trap!”

In the next second.

He fell headlong to the ground.

“What happened?”

The Hunter behind quickly caught up and checked the ankle of the fallen man.

A large trap clamped his foot, not enough to break the bone, but the skin was torn.

Seeing this.

Boris’s expression changed: “But causing us trouble is something they would do.”

Arseny’s face darkened further.

Someone couldn’t help asking: “Aren’t they afraid we’ll report them?”

Upon hearing this, Arseny snorted coldly: “Report? We need evidence first, and both we and those folks serve the wealthy employer. They wouldn’t want their animal-keeping issue to become widely known.”

These words led everyone into silence.

Arseny said: “Pasha, you stay here with Nikita.”

The clamped man’s name was Nikita.

He quickly said: “Boss, don’t worry about me, keep pursuing!”

Arseny shook his head: “We’ve already ventured deep into the forest; it’s dangerous. We still need to be cautious, attend to your wound first. Anyway, they can’t escape quickly!”

“The boat folks are ours; we’ve communicated with them. Those folks can’t use boats or contact the outside. They can only walk south to meet the employer. We have at least a week to handle this!”

But as Arseny spoke, a rush of footsteps followed fast from behind.

Everyone’s face showed vigilance.
