Chapter 567: Chapter 360: Locking on the Target

When Dean Wu rejected his proposal, Bobo Man didn’t look the least bit dissatisfied. Instead, he asked calmly,

"Old Wu, do you have any good suggestions?"

Dean Wu didn’t answer Bobo Man right away. Instead, he gazed at the magnified map of the planet, lost in thought.

As everyone else pondered, Han Ning also studied the map, mentally calculating the most suitable place for them to settle.

Without a doubt, an ideal habitat would be far from any conflicts and abundant in resources.

But on the continent group, countless races vied for supremacy, so there was no place truly free from conflict. They could only settle for the next best thing: finding a "soft target"—a relatively weak group with no powerful backers.

With the powerful backing of the Bobo Family, the Tri-Race Alliance could easily handle weaker groups. They were far from helpless.

With these thoughts in mind, Han Ning’s gaze roamed across the map.

Suddenly, his eyes narrowed, focusing on a single spot.

At the same time, Dean Wu pointed to the very place Han Ning was staring at and said, "His Highness Prince Bobo Man, what can you tell us about this landmass?"

"Here?"

Bobo Man followed his finger.

It was a continent located even farther north than the Thousand Lakes Continent.

According to the map’s color-coded topography, the area was covered in a swath of brownish-yellow. Only near the eastern region did a vast, deep blue area appear, an inward-curving bay connected to the outer sea.

On the otherwise lush green map, that patch of pure brownish-yellow stood out like a bald spot.

"Hmm, the Withered Desert. Not a very encouraging name," Dean Wu said with a nod. "What races live there and in the surrounding area?"

Bobo Man thought for a moment before answering.

"Very few races live here... Hm. Due to the harsh environment, almost no life exists there. The entire region is under the jurisdiction of the Barbaric Beast Race’s Steel Elephant Family, and one of their vassal tribes lives there. Other than them, there are no other races."

"Er... the main problem is that it has no resources. It’s not rich in natural products, which is why so few creatures live there. Why... Old Wu, are you interested in this place?"

"Yes. Its other three sides border only the Barbaric Beast Race, and the one side that doesn’t is adjacent to a bay. While it might not be rich in resources, it is a relatively safe location."

"It’s too barren..." Bobo Man hesitated.

"Places with abundant resources invite conflict. Besides, its ’barrenness’ is only relative to the rest of the continent group. Compared to the ocean, the concentration of Spiritual Energy here should be much higher, no?"

There was one more thing Dean Wu didn’t say. ’For the people of the Zhonghua Family, a lack of resources isn’t the biggest problem. As long as we’re given time to develop, we can cultivate a lush forest even in the middle of a lifeless desert.’

"It’s just a suggestion. We can look at other places, select a few areas as candidates, and then make a final decision after visiting each one in person," Dean Wu proposed.

Bobo Man looked to Han Ning. "What’s your opinion?"

"I agree with Dean Wu," Han Ning replied succinctly.

"Alright, we’ll add it to the list of candidates. Let’s discuss some other locations, then..."

...

「One day later. The Purple Crystal World, Eastern Continent Group. Territory of the Barbaric Beast Race, Lion City.」

This was the capital of the territory ruled by the Mad Lion Tribe of the Barbaric Beast Race.

After a full day of discussion, the group had shortlisted three suitable regions.

They decided to dispatch small teams to each target region to scout them out and gather intelligence.

Since the Bobo Family’s Vast Sea Profound Turtle Fleet couldn’t enter the spheres of influence of the major races, it had to remain temporarily in the ocean trenches beyond the continent group, awaiting Bobo Man’s command.

Han Ning volunteered for the mission to scout the Withered Desert.

Bobo Man, Lin Tianhe, and Ah Yu would be accompanying him—a reunion of the old Shuixiu City team.

In truth, the Bobo Family, led by Bobo Man, possessed endless riches. With its members being Spiritual Masters on average, they had no shortage of ways to acquire wealth. They had few requirements for a land-based environment; all they needed was a relatively stable region of the sea, safe from the Deep Sea Race’s attacks, where their people could develop in peace.

Therefore, Bobo Man had left the selection of the land habitat entirely up to the Tri-Race Alliance.

All three locations they had picked bordered vast bodies of water. The Aquatic Race’s forces within the continent group were weak, so Bobo Man had no desire to even scout them, treating the matter with complete nonchalance.

"I wonder if that fellow Shi Zhou is back yet. If we want to learn about the Steel Elephant Tribe, we’ll have to ask a local like him."

On the rugged streets of Lion City, Bobo Man’s small octopus body rested on Han Ning’s shoulder, draped in a tiny, pure white robe.

This spot had once been Yin Yi’s favorite, but now that the little overlord Bobo Man had claimed it, Yin Yi could only aggrievedly transform into a ball of starlight and trail alongside its master.

’The left shoulder... that’s Egg Pancake’s spot.’

Lin Tianhe stood to Han Ning’s left, while to his right followed Fei Lin, her face obscured, as she was completely encased in armor.

In her arms, Fei Lin cradled a small, child-sized, blue-and-white ape.

Ah Yu trailed a step behind them like a bodyguard, vigilantly scanning their surroundings.

"Aren’t you pretty familiar with him? You didn’t get his contact information?" Han Ning asked casually, his gaze sweeping over the city’s architecture.

The overall architectural style of Lion City bore a strong resemblance to the Ancient Egypt of their previous lives.

As far as the eye could see, tall houses constructed from stacked yellow stone blocks lined the streets. The ground was paved with smooth flagstones, and rows of tall, green plants grew along the roadsides.
