Chapter 566: Chapter 359: Shut Out (Part 2)

Hearing everyone’s words, some cautionary and others comforting, the look of confusion on Irena’s face gradually faded. In its place was determination and sincerity. She nodded gravely and said,

"Don’t worry, everyone. Trust me, I’ll be able to get you all inside soon. For now... I’ll return to our territory."

At this moment, she had no desire to linger. After bowing to the group, she mounted her Soul Beast and returned to the Thunder Continent.

...

They watched Irena depart into the distance. After a long moment of silence, Dean Wu finally let out a soft sigh.

"Living under someone else’s roof is a last resort. If we want to develop without restrictions, we need to find our own unclaimed land."

"Geopolitical factors also demand it."

In fact, Dean Wu had been emphasizing this point from the very beginning.

It was just that Bobo Man’s overall power was so immense that everyone from the academy assumed they could easily acquire a piece of land free from outside influence near the Witch Spirit Race’s territory, all thanks to his influence.

But things didn’t go as planned.

"Given the Witch Spirit Race’s attitude, even if they allow us entry later, I wouldn’t choose to establish our settlement within their territory. The risk is too great," Qing Dou, whose spiritual injuries were nearly ninety percent healed, said with a shake of his head.

"His Highness Prince Bobo Man, what is your opinion?"

Han Ning’s gaze fell on Bobo Man, whose octopus-like face was dark with anger as he stewed in silent fury.

"Hmph!!"

Bobo Man’s originally snow-white face flushed a deep purple, like an overinflated balloon. He snorted heavily, venting his frustration, then lowered his voice and said,

"Han Ning, Old Wu, rest assured, my Bobo Race would never break a promise like this!! I make this spiritual oath as the new Clan Leader of the Bobo Family!"

"Alright, alright, Your Highness Prince Bobo Man, please calm down. That’s not what we were asking," the others said, hurrying forward to placate him when they realized he had misunderstood.

Biologically speaking, he was only in his teens. Considering the long lifespan of the Bobo Race, he was little more than an infant, so it was natural for his emotions to be volatile.

Everyone understood that although Bobo Man was often emotional and usually acted like a mischievous child, he truly possessed a pure, innocent heart.

This was likely the first time His Highness Prince Bobo Man, who was used to receiving a grand welcome wherever he went, had a door slammed in his face. It was inevitable that he would be incensed.

He took a few deep breaths, gradually calming the turbulent emotions in his heart, and spoke calmly,

"The Southern and Central Continent Groups no longer have any completely unclaimed continents. However, there are still several that are jointly controlled by multiple intelligent races. I believe that with our strength, we can definitely find a continent with a good environment to settle down on."

"Can’t we go to the peripheral regions, far from the Central Continent Group and closer to the ocean?" someone asked.

Bobo Man shook his head decisively. "No! The area in the Purple Crystal World with the most abundant Spiritual Energy is the Continent Group located in the world’s core. The concentration of ambient Spiritual Energy weakens the farther you get from the world’s center."

"For Land Races like you, a Soul Beast can only break through to the Emperor Level if you control an entire continent’s territory. Even among us Deep Sea Clans, it took our ancestral Spiritual Masters specially modifying the environment to create the high-Spiritual Energy regions capable of nurturing Emperor Level Soul Beasts."

"Although land only makes up 40% of this entire star, nearly 70% of the world’s Spiritual Energy is concentrated on the continents."

"This is also why only after the ten most powerful families of the Celestial Sea united to form the Deep Sea Race did they gain the right to contend with the top ten Land Races."

"Right now, we are in major conflict with Xuanhai, so we can’t return to the Celestial Sea to modify the undersea environment. What’s more, every region of the Celestial Sea has long been clearly divided among the various Deep Sea Clans, making it very difficult to find a suitable place."

Bobo Man shook his head, looking like a wise old scholar. "But... according to my research, there are some continents that are in a constant state of war. A resource-rich territory might change hands several times in a single year. This presents us with a great opportunity."

"With our strength, occupying a place rich in resources and adjacent to a massive body of water shouldn’t be a problem."

Hearing this, everyone was greatly tempted by the idea.

"Then, Your Highness Prince Bobo Man, what places are suitable for us to settle?" Qing Fan, who usually didn’t bother with theoretical knowledge, raised his hand and asked.

"You kid... I always tell you to study the world map, but you never listen. And now you’re asking such a basic question."

Bobo Man glanced at the lizard-headed Qing Fan and explained,

"Setting aside this muscle-head Qing Fan, I assume everyone else has a basic understanding of the continent distribution in the Purple Crystal World. Sigh, just talking about it here won’t get us anywhere. I have a more detailed world map back at my place. Let’s go there, sit down, and talk."

Bobo Man waved his hand. A blue light flashed around Bobo Ka, who stood beside him, and he transformed into a gentle ocean current, enveloping the leaders of the Tri-Race Alliance and transporting them all to the luxurious conference hall within the palace in Bogu City.

He sat in the head seat, extended a tentacle, and tapped a point in mid-air.

SWOOSH~

A current of water surged, and a slowly rotating, ultra-high-definition holographic map of the planet, projected by Spiritual Energy, appeared before them.

The planet magnified, occupying half the hall. Everyone could clearly see numerous landmasses distributed around the planet’s "equator."

The continents were separated by straits of varying widths.

Elsewhere, it was almost entirely ocean, with only a few scattered islands.

A red dot was marked slightly south of the center of the Continent Group, indicating their current position.

"This is the Thunder Continent. The three other continents north of here all belong to the Witch Spirit Race. They are linked by a powerful Spiritual Array, forming an impenetrable fortress to resist the invasion of the Alatake Clan."

"The territory occupied by the Alatake Clan is in the peripheral region of the Western Continent Group. The world’s largest multi-layered Abyss is located there. Therefore... if we want to find a suitable settlement, we’ll have to search in the eastern, northern, or central regions and avoid the west."

"Uh... Actually, I have a suitable place in mind. It’s the Thousand Lakes Continent, located in the Eastern Continent Group, adjacent to the central region."

Bobo Man projected a thin, bright line of Spiritual Energy, pointing to a landmass covered in bodies of water.

"Nearly 70% of this continent is covered by freshwater lakes of all sizes, which is suitable for my Bobo Family. The Tri-Race Alliance has fewer people, so the remaining 30% of land area is definitely enough for you to develop and settle."

"So... what’s the geopolitical situation there?"

Dean Wu voiced his concern.

’A land rich in resources will inevitably attract powerful conquerors.’

"There are about twenty small races on the continent—thirteen living in the lake regions and seven on land. They are in a constant state of war with each other, and there is no single hegemonic race," Bobo Man explained.

A thoughtful gleam shone in Dean Wu’s eyes.

"That can’t be right... A place in constant turmoil like this is most likely a buffer zone for major powers. Which races control the continents surrounding the Thousand Lakes Continent?"

"The Holy Crystal Race controls the area from the north to the east. The territory from the east to the south borders the Barbaric Beast Race. The remaining regions are across the sea from the Witch Spirit and Cang Yu." ℴ

"To be honest, based solely on resource distribution, this continent is indeed very suitable for us. But from a geopolitical perspective, my recommendation is that we don’t choose it."

Dean Wu pointed to several surrounding continents and said,

"It’s surrounded by powerful races. If they ever get into a conflict, we’d easily get caught in the crossfire. Life squeezed between several major races would be difficult. This also explains why this continent has never had a long-term ruler."
