Chapter 555: Chapter 354: Clue to Yin Yi’s A Talent
"Right now... the vast majority of our researchers are immersed in developing the Secret Realm. Our Tri-Race Alliance is in desperate need of all kinds of specialized talent. I’m planning... once we reach the Continent Group, to systematically recruit newborns or Alien Race Beast Masters of good character from the outside to strengthen our ranks."
"To ensure specialization in our research, the theoretical research teams and the practical technology teams need to be separated. I plan to expand our academy and establish a comprehensive university for training new Beast Masters and researchers, as well as various types of research institutes."
"With the fresh blood selected from the university, we will supplement our burgeoning strength, expand the Alliance’s scale, and achieve the ability to protect ourselves."
Han Ning looked on with interest. Dean Wu’s development goals were clearly defined. He wanted to create a Beast Taming University that would encompass various Alien Races while retaining a distinct, human-style technological flair.
The overall strength of the humans in the academy had improved, but compared to the various powerful races, they were still as insignificant as dust.
If they wanted even a modicum of ability to protect themselves, their only option was to develop, expand, and recruit diverse talent.
To this, Han Ning gave his full support: "Do what you need to do. If you run into any problems, just contact me. I’ll figure out a way to solve them."
After a pause, he also shared his own thoughts:
"On my way back, Bobo Man and I ran into some trouble. The situation in the Celestial Sea is very delicate right now. We had to leave the territory of the Sea Goddess Race ahead of schedule and head for the Thunder Continent in the Southern Continent Group..."
After getting a basic understanding of the base’s progress over the past two-plus years, Han Ning began to briefly recount the series of events that occurred from the time he entered the Secret Realm to when he left to everyone present.
Although he was gone for over four years, not much had actually happened. Besides Cultivation, he had met Wuzhiqi and gotten into a fight with Ruiyue.
"What?! You rescued the entire Vilornox family? No wonder that Xuanhai fellow was so furious." Upon hearing this, Bobo Man flipped out.
Even though he didn’t have any fur.
"Mhm, it’s perfect timing, since we’ve established our own Soul Beast cultivation Secret Realm. After the meeting is over, I’ll put those Water Apes in the Secret Realm and let them get familiar with the environment inside."
Han Ning nodded and summoned Huaimiao.
"WAH-WOO!"
Two days had passed, and Huaimiao, originally only palm-sized, had grown by several dozen centimeters. It was now as tall as Han Ning’s arm. Sucking on its furry fingers, it sat on the table, curiously looking at the group of beings staring back at it.
"Wuzhiqi... isn’t that the prototype for Brother Monkey? This little guy looks way cuter than Brother Monkey must have as a kid. It’s hard to imagine that it was born with Power comparable to a Monarch."
The image of Wuzhiqi was not unfamiliar to those from the Xia Country; it was, after all, the prototype for Sun Wukong. The moment Huaimiao appeared, it immediately captured everyone’s attention.
"We should forge a Golden Cudgel for it later."
Lin Tianhe took out his phone and started taking pictures of Huaimiao with a look of pure wonder.
"Speaking of which... the weapon it uses really is a staff."
Han Ning recalled how two days ago, during its battle with Egg Pancake, Huaimiao had used Yin Thunder to manifest a giant staff.
He believed this was an instinct inherited from Huaimiao’s past life as the Water God.
Although it was a newborn, its behavior, mannerisms, and even its fighting style all seemed to carry shadows of its past life.
"So... can we contract those Water Apes? I’m looking for a combat Soul Beast with high Talent right now, and they’re like Brother Monkey..."
Lin Tianhe rubbed his hands together, a look of longing on his face.
"Of course you can... as long as they’re willing."
"But let me be clear up front: this tribe of Water Apes has a leader who is an Upper Emperor. He’s also a Demigod who holds the title of Wuzhiqi, the Water God. If you want to contract one of his companions, you’ll have to get his permission first."
"No, we have to leave this place immediately. Even though Xuanhai doesn’t know you were the one who took Vilornox for now, he will definitely pin the blame on you. After all, during the Secret Realm trial, besides Ladar’s group of dead guys, you were the most suspicious one. I’m going to pack my things now. You all should get ready quickly too. Tonight, oh, no... in three hours, we’ll gather at the valley entrance."
Bobo Man didn’t seem very interested in Vilornox. He was clearly more concerned about the safety of the Bobo Race.
"Is it that urgent?" Han Ning asked in surprise.
"Urgent. I guarantee that when that ugly fiend Shark Lian blocked us, he definitely didn’t know about Vilornox’s disappearance. Once they’ve thoroughly inspected the Sea God Palace, they will absolutely rally the entire Deep Sea Race to come after us."
"At that point, forget the Sea Goddess Race; they will all become our enemies. You’ve really done it this time, kid. You’re the quiet type, but when you make a move, it’s a big one. You just went and snatched away a treasure the Deep Sea Race values immensely."
Bobo Man grimaced, and without any more pointless chatter, he flicked his dense mass of tentacles, transformed into a ray of telekinetic light, and vanished on the spot.
Seeing Bobo Man’s frantic state, Han Ning and the others realized the situation was truly dire. They didn’t even continue the meeting. They quickly scattered, gathering their companions in the valley and Caiyu City to begin the evacuation.
When it came to emergency evacuations, the members of the Tri-Race Alliance were already well-drilled. This wasn’t the first time they had to leave a place in a hurry. Everyone moved like busy Soldier Ants, yet carried out their respective tasks in an orderly fashion.
"Brother Han Ning... I think I have to leave too," Lin Ke said reluctantly, biting her lip.
