Who Needs a CEO? I Choose Stardom
Chapter 387 Eh? Something’s Not Quite Right
In real life, everyone’s skin is inevitably exposed to harmful elements like UV rays, dust, toxic gases, and sweat. Even machines need maintenance, let alone our delicate skin.
Of course, great skin isn’t something you can get from just cosmetics and skincare. You also need to exercise regularly to maintain a healthy body.
Ni Bingyan then demonstrated a fat-burning routine she choreographed herself for the show.
"When you’re starting out, pick some high-energy music and follow the beat. After a while, it’ll become second nature. Then you can use the time to practice your foreign language listening skills or catch up on the news, so you’re not wasting a moment. I usually do this for an hour every other day. It can be tedious, but it’s very effective."
Ni Bingyan had a great figure, curvy in all the right places. Although she was very slim, she didn’t have the soft, untoned look that many other actresses did.
She wasn’t wearing tight-fitting workout gear, just a loose T-shirt casually tied in a knot at the hem.
But that was even more lethal!
As she moved, the hem of her shirt would ride up, revealing her defined abs.
Before anyone could get a clear look, a shift in her movements would cause the shirt to drop back down.
How could this not make viewers keep their eyes glued to her for the entire show?
Tsk.
You can’t survive in this industry without a few little schemes. You’d be too ashamed to even leave the house.
The schedule was tight. After wrapping up the eighth episode, the production team headed straight for Qiong Island to start filming the ninth and tenth episodes.
For the ninth episode, Ni Bingyan decided on the theme "Journey with Passion."
She had always loved cycling but hadn’t found the right opportunity since her transmigration.
When she came to Qiong Island last year to film a variety show, she drove her cousin along a section of the eastern route. The scenery was absolutely incredible.
Now that she finally had the chance, she arranged a three-day cycling trip along the eastern route.
The cycling route around Qiong Island was already well-established. A quick online search pulled up plenty of guides, so she didn’t have to put much thought into planning.
She was clad in full sun-protection gear, so theoretically, no one should have been able to recognize her. But with a van-mounted camera tailing her, it was hard not to attract attention.
Barely an hour into her ride, she was recognized by a fan.
To prevent things from getting lost, the production team had slapped stickers that read "Ni Bingyan’s World Travel" on much of their equipment.
The camera, of course, had one too.
"Oh! My god! Bingbao! It’s really you! You’re here on Qiong Island? What episode are you filming? AHHHH! Everyone else is in a car, why are you the only one on a bike? You must be so lonely! I’ll go with you! My house is right by the road! Wait for me, I’m going home to get my bike! AHHHH!"
She was a short-haired girl with tanned skin, big eyes, and a high-bridged nose. When she got excited, she shrieked like a screaming marmot.
Before Ni Bingyan could even think of refusing, the girl shrieked and ran into a farmhouse courtyard by the side of the road.
A moment later, she emerged, pushing an old-fashioned roadster bike.
Seeing that the girl had brought nothing but a canteen of water, Ni Bingyan quickly reminded her, "You didn’t bring any luggage? You can only join me for a little while, then you’ll have to head back! You can’t go too far!"
The fan beamed. "Don’t worry, don’t worry! My uncle’s family lives over in Wenchang. I’ll just ride with you that far, and then my cousins can take over and keep you company!"
’Good grief!’
’In the time it took her to get her bike, she’d already arranged my next "escort"?’
At that moment, Ni Bingyan felt like the baton in a relay race, being passed from one person to the next.
Still, meeting an outgoing local fan who was willing to ride with her for a stretch was a good thing, both for her personally and for the show.
Cycling alone for hours on end was incredibly boring.
Seeing that the girl was ready, Ni Bingyan screwed the cap back on her water bottle and waved to her. "Alright, let’s hit the road!"
She had thought this would just be a small episode on her journey, but as the two of them rode on, their little group began to expand without her even realizing it.
The outgoing fan was a social butterfly by nature; it wasn’t in her to be friendly with just one person.
People like that have a common trait: in short, they have a lot of friends.
For now, since she was still young, her friends were all relatively local. Once she grew up and went out into the world, she would probably have friends all over the planet.
The film crew, who had watched her set off all alone, were utterly dumbfounded. By the time she reached Wenchang, she had already acquired an entire cycling team!
This was no professional cycling team.
Some rode their family’s old roadster bicycles, others had just unlocked a shared bike, and very few even had a mountain bike.
To top it all off, there was even a woman on an electric tricycle, handing out coconuts to everyone along the way.
