"A meteor shower?"

"Is there really a meteor shower?"

"This isn’t a prank, is it?"

...

The cold winter day and the strong winds on the Great Wall were hardly ideal for camping, but with a large group, a full set of gear, and a delicious barbecue to keep them company, everyone was still having a wonderful time.

They partied late into the night until it became unbearably cold, and everyone scrambled into the double-layered, winter-proof tents.

Inside the large tents, thick, moisture-proof mats had been laid out, and with warm sleeping bags, several people huddled together. They were all too excited to sleep and ended up chatting very late.

But they hadn’t been asleep for long when they suddenly heard Ni Bingyan shouting from outside about a meteor shower. Everyone was instantly awake!

’Weather forecasts are wrong all the time. It said there’d be a meteor shower, and there really is one?’

"Where? Where is it?"

Someone was in such a hurry that they didn’t even get dressed, just wrapped themselves in a sleeping bag and unzipped the tent flap, desperate to see it with their own eyes.

You can find plenty of photos and videos of them online, in resolutions as high-definition as you could ever want.

’But there’s absolutely no sense of being part of it that way!’

A meteor streaks across the sky in an instant. Sometimes, you can’t even see it due to your location or the weather. How rare is it to witness one with your own eyes?

"It just passed! I really saw it! I really, really did! There were so many! It was so beautiful! So beautiful!"

’In the face of nature’s awesome power, humanity is truly insignificant!’

It’s no wonder people love fireworks.

’A fleeting moment of breathtaking beauty can truly be etched in your memory for a lifetime!’

The sky was vast and the land expansive. Sitting on the mountaintop, she could still see the lingering lights of the distant city.

Ni Bingyan had waited in the night wind until four-thirty in the morning, bundled in thick clothes and draped in a warm, windproof mat, just to finally witness this scene. One can only imagine the awe and emotion she felt in her heart!

She was so busy with work that a day like this—sitting on a mountain peak with only the starry sky for company—was an incredible luxury for her.

Knowing there was a chance of seeing meteors felt like being stopped by a shop owner while out shopping and being told she was the eighth customer of the day and would receive a mysterious gift!

For that chance, she was willing to pull an all-nighter rather than give up!

As it turned out, her persistence was worth it.

She’d done it.

To ensure nothing was missed, several cameras had been left running all night.

Someone was tempted to complain, ’Why didn’t you call me earlier? The meteors have already passed. What’s the use of waking me now? It’s just disturbing my sleep for nothing!’

But in front of the cameras and their colleagues, the person didn’t have the nerve to complain out loud.

"Did you make a wish? I heard that wishes made on a meteor shower have a good chance of coming true!"

Wei Shuojie emerged from her tent. Even though she only had lipstick on, she still looked quite refreshed.

"It was so breathtaking! I was completely mesmerized! My mind went blank. I barely had time to call you guys, let alone make a wish!"

Prompted by Wei Shuojie, Ni Bingyan snapped out of her daze. Noticing that someone’s expression looked a bit stiff, she immediately seized the opportunity to explain.

"No worries, no worries! All three of these cameras caught it. The angle on this professional one was especially good—it captured Bingbing’s silhouette in the same frame as the meteors. When we edit this into the show, the effect will be absolutely explosive!"

Pei Jin’s catchphrase was "absolutely explosive," so as soon as they heard that, everyone knew who was speaking.

While the others who emerged from their tents were staring up at the stars, he was the only one going around and checking each of the cameras.

’Encountering a meteor shower wasn’t part of the plan,’ he thought. ’But since it happened, this episode is destined to go viral!’

Pei Jin rubbed his hands together excitedly.

"Don’t be disappointed. Even though you were in your tents, this camera got a shot with the tents and the meteor shower in the same frame. So, in a way, you all got to be in the shot with the meteors too!"

Seeing Pei Jin go check the cameras, one of the cameramen went to check another one as well.

"That’s true."

After the group watched the footage, they realized there was no point in staying up any longer. They all climbed back into their tents and went back to sleep.

After a full night’s sleep, they packed up and headed down the mountain. Once back in the city, the production team treated everyone to a meal and gave them a half-day off. The next morning, it was back to work gathering footage for the "A Day in the Life of an Actress" segment.

Ni Bingyan didn’t do anything special for the cameras. She just followed her usual routine: waking up early, eating, and working out. Then, in her study, she read scripts, painted, wrote articles, did practice tests, and listened to the news...

It would have been quite dull, but she allowed the production team to film her skincare and fitness routines.

Her title as the "pinnacle of beauty in the entertainment industry" wasn’t self-proclaimed, after all.

Presumably, her female fans were also very curious about how she maintained her looks.

When it came to skincare, Ni Bingyan never skimped. As long as a product worked, she was willing to splurge on it, no matter how expensive the luxury brand.

The kind of woman who could get skin as fair and soft as tofu from a single jar of moisturizer, immune to the ravages of wind and weather, only existed in fiction.
