"Lady Onora, the Mad Fire has extinguished, was it your doing? Only you could have managed it!"

"Lady Onora! Thank you for saving me just now!"

"Lady Onora, Lady Onora, the consumption of supplies this time is less than originally estimated!"

As the Mad Fire burning within Fran Fort completely extinguished, Onora tread upon the wet ground, heading towards the Small Safe Zone.

She hadn’t even entered within the bounds of the safe zone when a large number of Demon Clan soldiers surrounded her with a "splash," chattering noisily.

Those who couldn’t squeeze in had no choice but to remain on the outskirts, lifting both hands high and jumping in place, hoping their High Priest’s gaze might fall upon them.

To be glanced at by Onora was truly the highest honor!

And over by Onora.

The expression on her face never changed, in the soldiers’ eyes, this was the composed demeanor a High Priest ought to have; even if her face looked somewhat detached, it was understandable.

But if someone familiar with her were here, they would surely notice something amiss, that expression wasn’t composure.

It was numbness.

Onora turned her head, scanning the soldiers before her who showed absolute loyalty to her.

Some chirped admiringly to her, some jumped in place hoping for her gaze, others with full-body wounds sat or lay on the ground, and some...

All sorts of human conditions were right before her eyes; in the dispute initiated by the Mad Fire God Sect, the Demon King Army had invested a lot of manpower and resources, and at this moment, over half the remaining forces were in this Small Safe Zone.

Of course, outside the Dungeon, there were still many soldiers, and the dispute with the Mad Fire God Sect hadn’t evolved to the point of needing Onora’s full military assault.

Onora issued the first order after the war ended to the soldiers.

"Bring everyone else here, gather."

The soldiers, trusting their leader completely and unconditionally, gathered towards Onora, even severely injured were carried over.

"What is Lady Onora going to do?"

"You’re new here, right? Of course, it’s the post-war routine assembly."

"Lady Onora’s speech is amazingly impressive; you’re really lucky today."

The soldiers gathered here numbered less than two thousand; if added to those still in other Small Safe Zones, barely enough to reach three thousand.

The damage caused by the Mad Fire God Sect was greater than imagined, and in the quartermaster’s eyes, having this many survivors seemed worth celebrating.

The soldiers anticipated Onora’s upcoming speech, though they held a small doubt in their hearts.

"Why not inside the safe zone?"

The Demon Clan soldiers were now gathered in a swamp clearing some distance away from the safe zone, people stood scattered on the clearing, unwilling to step onto the foul swamp.

So strange, isn’t Lady Onora fond of cleanliness?

Under the soldiers’ expectant gazes, the much-anticipated Onora made her entrance.

"Onora! Onora! Onora!"

When someone took the lead to shout aloud, it immediately stirred others; soldiers excitedly called out Onora’s name, their voices resonating throughout Fran Fort.

In the midst of the cheering voices, Onora slowly raised her palm.

This gesture was usually interpreted to mean "quiet down," and even the emotionally excited Demon Clan soldiers obediently ceased their cheering upon receiving the command.

"I’m really curious what she’ll say," the new Demon Clan soldier looked expectantly.

"Hehehe." The veteran soldier couldn’t help but laugh, thinking about the exhilarating speech the newcomer would soon hear.

Then, they saw Onora lower her raised palm.

What does this mean?

The soldiers pondered the meaning of this gesture, leading to the super noisy environment suddenly plunging into silence, not even a trace of noise remained.

In this setting, even a pin dropping was clearly audible, let alone the increasingly close sound of water.

Hold on, water sounds?

"Do you hear any strange noise?" The new soldier asked in a hushed voice.

"Don’t speak recklessly at a time like this!" The veteran rebuked, then glanced around and said, "I hear it too, it’s a kind of..."

"Gollum-gollum sound?"

The ground began to tremble slightly.

The treetops rustled noisily.

The swamp thumped rhythmically.

Something was coming.

"What is that!?"

The soldier’s cry pierced the silence.

A group of Demon Clan soldiers turned to see things that shouldn’t be here.

"It, it is..."

The soldiers at the farthest edge started trembling, retreating while loudly screaming:

"Abyss!"

The Abyss, in form of waves, came surging from all directions towards the soldiers!

"Run away!!!"

These Abysses hadn’t reached the exaggerated level of a tsunami, even calling them waves was somewhat exaggerated, the surging Abyss could at most submerge the soldiers’ lower legs.

But it’s the Abyss.

Being drowned by the Abyss, the likelihood of going mad from the delirious murmurs hidden within is far greater!

In this brief moment, the outermost Demon Clan soldiers were caught by the Abyss. They had no time to turn and flee before being knocked to the ground, the Abyss engulfed them from every pore.
