Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?
Chapter 1782 - 1049: Still a Bad Ending_2
Artorias suddenly drew his sword and retreated, Manus swung his large staff, launching several Abyssal Teams larger than humans in pursuit, and the great sword swept through the air in an arc, dispersing the oncoming Abyss in one blow.
The battle was incredibly intense, so intense that it was impossible to find the right moment to intervene.
So you could only break through by force.
Luluwo shouted at the magicians behind her who were ready to go: "Attack!"
The members of the Skyrim Strategy Group were waiting for this moment, and the glow of beneficial magic poured out from the tips of their magic wands at that very moment, layer upon layer, onto... Dal!
All possible beneficial effects were stacked onto him, and the position where these lights bloomed was behind Manus.
He caught the purifying power leaking from the Barrier Shield, took a step ahead into the purified Abyssal Black Mud, planning to sneak attack Manus!
Dal’s muscles, already swollen from Burning Wolf Blood, swelled further under the effect of these magic spells, transforming him from a handsome young man into a muscular giant, making one fear he might explode at any moment.
He didn’t wait for all the beneficial magic to fully settle before charging out. In his sprint, he leaped up, with the Artorias Greatsword and the Fran Greatsword tracing two perfect arcs above him, and the blades suddenly struck Manus’s back shoulder, shattering the hardened black mud there, causing dark-colored liquid to gush from the wound, splattering on his hair and burning it into a puff of blue smoke.
The counterintuitive aspect was right here, as Manus’s entire body was covered in twisted silver-white carapace similar to that of the Four Kings of Little Londo, making their thickness difficult to judge with the naked eye.
Yet, the spot on the shoulder where Dal struck, which should have been very hard by habit, was weaker than other parts of the carapace!
"Very good! He’s injured!" Luluwo’s spirit was immediately uplifted.
They had successfully injured Manus, and relying on their own strength, which was already a big boost to morale!
Artorias then pressed in from the front, and the great sword suddenly crashed onto the exaggerated crown on the Master of the Abyss’s head, and the loud crash of metal resonated through the entire lair.
"Crack!"
The crown shattered into fragments, and dark blood sprayed out, followed by another slash at Manus’s chest, cracking the carapace there.
This round of exchanges showed that the adventurers had the upper hand!
Manus roared, and the Abyss around him exploded into a towering pillar, forcing Dal and Artorias to retreat.
The wounds they left on him had already stopped bleeding; though not healed, it seemed these injuries were of little importance to him.
"Keep going like this, and we’ll surely kill him!" Luluwo said, "Everyone, support them together!"
At this moment, she finalized the next tactical arrangement.
Centered on Artorias, they let the Wolf Knight, capable of both offense and defense, face the Master of the Abyss head-on, while on the adventurers’ side, Dal served as the main force, helping to churn out one powerful combat skill after another. These two were the adventurers’ side’s strongest attacking swords.
The slightly less potent Luluwo continued to take on the role of commander, observing everything and constantly adjusting the positions of others, serving as a strong support for Dal.
The remaining adventurers, under her command, focused on supporting Dal, with their secondary duty being to attack Manus and fill in the damage.
Let’s try this tactic first!
Luluwo and the others kept launching magic and scrolls from behind, with powerful attack magic and various interference maneuvers. The flash technique exploded in front of Manus’s eyes, noise magic thundered in his ears, and sticky oil magic was splashed on the black mud at his feet and instantly caught fire...
However, these tricks that worked on regular boss monsters seemed to have no effect on the Master of the Abyss!
But just like how the buzzing of mosquitoes can anger creatures much larger than them, when these tricks were used repeatedly, Manus would occasionally roar at them and unleash a sonic attack.
But that’s what they were waiting for, as in this moment, Dal’s sword had already cut into his flank, and Artorias’s great sword slashed at his shoulder.
Two loud crashes followed, sending fragments of the carapace flying.
With Artorias tanking in the front, they could make such slightly "audacious" moves.
If it wasn’t for Artorias, they would have been exhausted just dodging the enemy’s storm-like attacks.
Manus’s attention began to spread across everyone present, and several of the crimson eyes on his hardened crown no longer solely fixed on Artorias but turned in different directions.
It was unclear if this indicated his rhythm had been disrupted or if he was plotting some dangerous move.
Luluwo sharply noticed this and instructed Chaos to throw an illusion magic with full force as a distraction while shouting to Dal, "Hit him with a big one!"
Dal pulled out his magic wand with a backhand and launched an ordinary attack magic at the enemy!
The magic power surged forth with full force, the magic transformed into a torrent hitting Manus’s chest. Somehow, this attack had a special bonus effect in the Sain Dungeon, coupled with Dal’s own magic power which surged in the King’s Soul state, it held a certain numerical beauty at this moment.
Then a giant palm broke through the magic torrent and slapped him flying away.
