White Dragon Lord

Chapter 216: Dragon Beast Academy Plan

  • Next Chapter

Dragon beasts had always been a persistent problem hindering the development of the Dragon Race. The Dragon Race's reproductive capabilities were already weak; coupled with the dragon beasts that failed their inheritance, the number of True Dragons was growing increasingly scarce.

The White Dragon Lord had also been pondering this issue.

Since the reality of dragon beasts could not be changed, he might as well accept them.

But the White Dragon Lord could not possibly change the Dragon Race's attitude toward dragon beasts. To dragons, a dragon beast represented regression and disgrace, much like human parents giving birth to a monkey.

Following the incident with the Gold Dragon dragon beast, Christina, the White Dragon Lord had found inspiration, realizing that dragon beasts possessed immense potential value.

The birth of a dragon beast occurred for one of two reasons. The first type simply never awakened their Dragon Inheritance. The second type had their minds shattered by the massive influx of information during the inheritance process, turning them into idiots.

The first type was just like human newborns. As long as they were properly guided during their growth and allowed to acquire various knowledge and skills through continuous learning, there was hope of cultivating them into capable individuals—just like Christina.

Relatively speaking, the second type was far more troublesome. Idiotic dragon beasts with shattered minds were practically beyond saving.

But that did not mean they were worthless. Relying solely on the robust physiques of the Dragon Race and their innate Dragon's Breath, the combat power of these mature dragon beasts was still far superior to that of Wyverns.

Most importantly, while these dragon beasts suffered from intellectual impairments, their reproductive capabilities remained completely undamaged.

This raised a question!

Was it possible for these dragon beasts to produce healthy offspring?!

This question lingered constantly in the White Dragon Lord's mind.

Thus, the White Dragon Lord outlined a series of plans: purchase various types of dragon beasts, establish a Dragon Beast Academy, conduct experiments to see if dragon beasts could birth normal offspring, and simultaneously assemble a dragon beast legion.

Just imagining hundreds of dragon beasts lined up side by side, tearing across the sky and washing the ground with Dragon Breath, was rather thrilling.

Planning on paper was always easy, but putting those plans into action was often difficult.

Opening a dragon beast academy would require a massive amount of manpower to serve as teachers and maintain the school's normal order.

Furthermore, the school staff had to be True Dragons. If they were from other races, there was no guarantee the dragon beasts wouldn't attack them. Driven by pure animal instinct, dragon beasts certainly lacked the virtuous quality of respecting their teachers.

With the arrival of the dragons from the Madilan World, this problem would be easily solved.

The dragons of the Madilan World were malnourished and severely lacked combat power, but they were numerous and their Dragon Inheritance was intact. They were perfectly qualified to be teachers.

Moreover, precisely because they lacked combat strength, the wilderness of Nordhill posed numerous risks to them. They certainly wouldn't refuse such a relaxed, pleasant job.

The White Dragon Lord muttered to himself.

"The Great Glacier!"

Since the matter of teachers was resolved, the recruitment work also needed to be put on the agenda.

Naturally, the first stop would be the faction the White Dragon Lord was most familiar with—the White Dragon Clan. And the headquarters of the White Dragon Clan was the Great Glacier, located at the northernmost edge of Nordhill.

After some thought, Amos dismissed the idea of sending Willy. For his Dragon Brother and Dragon Sister, whose combat power had barely reached the Legendary Rank, the Great Glacier was still too dangerous.

"It seems I'll have to find some time to make a trip to the Great Glacier myself."

The White Dragon Lord looked toward the bustling construction site.

On a platform created by shaving away more than half of a mountain peak, the base of the Mage Tower had already been completed. It was a perfect circle with a diameter of five hundred meters. Inscription masters were directing massive Iron Golems to stack huge enchanted stone bricks together.

Every time a new brick was laid, a Mage would cast a spell to fuse the newly added stone with the bricks below, making the entire foundation completely seamless.

The chief designer of the Magic Tower, Master Horace, hovered in the air. Holding a set of blueprints, he flew back and forth, directing the workers to adjust their angles.

Below the platform, the City Wall of the new capital was also under construction.

Towering trolls unloaded net bags full of large cyan rocks from the backs of Land Dragons, carried them to the base of the City Wall, and stacked them neatly. Then, other trolls passed the stones up into the hands of the Dwarves on the wall.

The Dwarves used binding materials to stack the uniform rocks together, building up the capital's City Wall.

Now free of their rocky burdens, the Land Dragons, under the command of gnolls, stepped onto a broad, gravel-strewn road that stretched from the City Wall all the way to the distant mountains.

Deep within the mountains, the phenomenally strong Ogres swung specially crafted pickaxes, mining stone from the quarries.

Up in the sky, Harpies flew back and forth carrying large parcels. In addition to delivering messages, they also took on the task of transporting small items.

The Harpies flew over lush green forests and soared across the wide Snowpaint River.

On the sparkling surface of the Snowpaint River, a team of Murlocs guided Bronze-Backed Alligator Turtles laden with supplies, rushing upstream toward the construction site. The provisions carried by this transport fleet were the primary food source for the laboring monsters.

"Hmm?!"

The White Dragon Lord suddenly noticed that, aside from the supplies, there was also a human on the back of one Bronze-Backed Alligator Turtle.

White Castle did not lack food, and eating intelligent creatures was strictly forbidden.

The White Dragon Lord felt somewhat curious. He didn't believe the Murlocs had the guts to defy his orders. Moreover, that human wasn't bound in any way. He sat freely on the Bronze-Backed Alligator Turtle's back, looking around as if he were simply taking in the scenery.

After a short while, the human arrived before the White Dragon Lord.

Amos looked at the wet hem of Bruce's clothes. Raising a brow, he teased.

"Bruce, how is the scenery in Kumlinge?"

The previous Count of Bailey City, the current Minister of Finance for the Kingdom of Rowe, and the White Dragon Lord's first human ally—Bruce Dumbledore—smiled at those words and spoke.

"Excellent. When I came here with a mission last time, I didn't get the chance to properly appreciate this pristine natural beauty."

Seeing the white dragon's half-smile, Bruce corrected himself.

"Alright, I admit it. At first, I just wanted to hitch a ride. At my age, traveling long distances is quite exhausting. But later on, I genuinely became captivated by the scenery."

...

They chatted idly for a while.

Bruce respectfully offered a Dimensional Bag. With a solemn expression, he bowed at a ninety-degree angle.

"Thank you, Your Excellency Amos, for lending a helping hand during the Kingdom of Rowe's time of crisis. The King of Rowe asked me to extend his sincere greetings to you and present you with this gift of gratitude."

A short time later, Bruce departed.

The White Dragon Lord held the Dimensional Bag and checked the items inside.

According to their initial agreement, the Kingdom of Rowe was to pay the White Castle Army's remuneration with Legendary equipment.

Now, the White Dragon Lord was somewhat curious to see exactly what Legendary equipment the Kingdom of Rowe had promised.
