White Dragon Lord

Chapter 215: The Star Realm Power System

"Do you have any other questions?" the White Dragon Lord asked, his eyes darting.

"Ahem. Lord Speaker, please forgive my curiosity, but may I know what level Mage you are right now?"

The Gold Dragon, Leopold Chodmartin, pricked up his ears as well, clearly just as curious.

Merlin Heavenly Principle hadn't expected the White Dragon to ask this. Not knowing whether to laugh or cry, he satisfied the White Dragon Lord's curiosity anyway.

"My current spellcasting level is Level 39."

The two dragons clicked their tongues in awe.

Based on the strength of their divine power, deities were divided into five tiers: Faint Divine Power, Weak Divine Power, Intermediate Divine Power, Greater Divine Power, and Great Divine Power.

A Mage as high as Level 39 was equivalent to the true body of a deity with Weak Divine Power. If Sky City was factored in, Merlin Heavenly Principle could clash with an existence possessing Intermediate Divine Power.

"Right, I forgot to tell you something."

Bringing up spellcasting levels reminded Merlin Heavenly Principle of another matter.

"Professional levels form the power system established on the Nordhill Plane. When dealing with entities from other planes, these rules no longer apply, because their planes possess their own unique power systems."

"To distinguish strength, powerhouses eventually agreed by convention to adopt the Star Realm's power system. The Star Realm is a place of naked jungle law, where the strong prey on the weak. It divides all non-divine creatures into six tiers based on their combat prowess."

Merlin Heavenly Principle continued his explanation.

"These six tiers are: Mortal Tier, Transcendent Tier, Legendary Rank, Abomination, Evil Entity, and Ancient Evil."

"Among these, the Mortal Tier is equivalent to ordinary humans who have not taken up any professional class."

"The Transcendent Tier, as the name implies, refers to existences that have transcended mortals. This corresponds to what we in Nordhill call Level 1 to Level 19 professionals."

"The Legendary Rank is equivalent to Nordhill's legendary practitioners. High-Tier Legends also fall under this rank. You two currently stand at this level."

"Abominations are beings capable of rivaling deities. For example, myself and the Sea King Beast."

"Wait."

The Gold Dragon furrowed his brows.

"If I remember correctly, the term Abomination refers to the mutated offspring birthed by deities. They generally harbor intense negative emotions yet possess strength rivaling The Gods."

"Yes, but later on, for the sake of convenience, people began using Abomination to refer to all non-divine creatures whose power rivaled true deities."

Merlin Heavenly Principle continued to explain.

"The Evil Entity is a separate classification entirely unrelated to combat power. For an existence to be called an Evil Entity, it only needs to meet one condition: it cannot be destroyed by external forces."

"Cannot be destroyed?"

The Gold Dragon looked puzzled.

"Wouldn't that mean they are immortal?"

Merlin Heavenly Principle nodded.

"Yes! You could say that."

The White Dragon Lord thought of the Flesh Giant that had disappeared.

"The Flesh Giant also possesses an immortal body. Does it count as an Evil Entity?"

Merlin Heavenly Principle thought for a moment.

"It counts as half of one. After all, before its time runs out, the Flesh Giant is an unkillable existence. But precisely because it has a time limit, it can only be considered half an Evil Entity."

He went on.

"Although Evil Entities cannot be killed, they can be sealed and imprisoned. This is the common method The Gods use to deal with them."

The White Dragon Lord asked another question.

"Then what is the deal with Ancient Evils?"

Merlin Heavenly Principle answered.

"Ancient Evils are entities that possess strength rivaling true deities while also being impossible to kill."

Mentioning Ancient Evils made even Merlin Heavenly Principle grave.

"It is said that the very first Ancient Evils were born from the corpses of natural-system deities. Gestated amidst endless hatred and wrath, they inherited a portion of the corpses' power and warped into grotesque forms. Overflowing with the negative emotions from the deaths of those natural deities, they destroy everything in their path."

"Every time such an existence appears, it heralds a catastrophe. It usually requires The Gods to join forces just to seal them away."

The White Dragon Lord nodded. He knew from his Ancestral Dragon inheritance that, generally speaking, the more powerful an entity was in life, the stronger and more abundant the resentment, rage, and other negative emotions born from its death would be—making it far easier to spawn foul things.

Therefore, the claim that the first Ancient Evils were born from the corpses of natural deities was completely reasonable.

Looking out the window at the full moon, the White Dragon Lord marveled at the greatness of the moon goddess, Elune. Even after her fall, she hadn't forgotten to leave the world such a magnificent treasure.

...

One day later.

The Overseas Archipelago.

The White Dragon Lord was secretly recording the Magic Tower's construction process using his Gold Finger.

Suddenly, three figures flew over from the distance—one large and two small.

Felicia landed beside the White Dragon Lord, bringing with her two blue-scaled Very Young Dragons.

"Amos, three from that batch of dragon eggs have already hatched."

The White Dragon Lord raised an eyebrow and looked at the two blue Very Young Dragons. The little fellows were hiding behind Felicia, timidly poking out half of their heads.

"Didn't you say three? Where's the other one?"

Felicia wore a look of disgust.

"The other one is a dragon beast."

"Where is it now?"

Felicia asked in confusion.

"I already threw it away. Do we need to keep dragon beasts too?"

The White Dragon Lord furrowed his brows. He knew there was no way to change Felicia's attitude toward dragon beasts in the short term.

Even good-aligned Metallic Dragons despised these degraded deformities, let alone a genuine evil dragon like Felicia.

But Amos had his own ways of convincing his Dragon Sister.

"Dragon beasts are still worth money! You just threw away your own gold coins like that. Doesn't your heart ache?!"

Hearing this, a conflicted expression appeared on Felicia's face.

"Ugh, what a headache. Just looking at those degraded pieces of trash makes me sick."

Reluctant to part with the gold coins yet unwilling to look at the repulsive dragon beasts, the Dragon Sister shook her head in distress.

The White Dragon Lord thought it over. Letting a dragon beast stay around Felicia was still too dangerous.

"How about this: if any more dragon beasts hatch, just toss them to Ala and Scarlett."

Felicia's eyes lit up.

"Great idea!"

Glancing back at the two blue dragons behind her, Felicia spoke up again.

"Then what about these True Dragons? I don't have the free time to look after these brats! I want to sleep!"

The White Dragon Lord raised an eyebrow.

"Felicia, slacking off means you won't get paid."

The Dragon Sister scowled and roughly yanked the two blue dragons in front of her.

"How about I toss them to Ala and Scarlett too?"

Seeing his Dragon Sister already trying to find ways to slack off, the White Dragon Lord felt a headache coming on as well.

"For now, let them help you look after the dragon eggs so you have time to rest. But as compensation for their labor, whenever you have time, teach them about professionals."
