White Dragon Lord

Chapter 193: Preparations Before Founding a Nation

  • Next Chapter

Mage Towers were excellent tools for magical research. If the White Dragon Lord wanted to rapidly increase his strength, a Mage Tower was essential.

Furthermore, for White Castle's security, as long as he was within the Mage Tower's area of effect, the White Dragon Lord was confident he could beat an ordinary High-Tier Legend into a whimpering mess.

With the issue of the Magic Tower resolved, the White Dragon Lord spoke.

"Next, we need to prepare for the founding of our nation. Let's discuss the matters regarding the kingdom's name, flag, and capital."

Felicia piped up with great interest.

"Let's call it the Evil Dragon Kingdom!"

Willy immediately voiced his opposition.

"Then we might as well call it the White Dragon Kingdom!"

"..."

Felicia and Willy started arguing, while Elena stood off to the side, watching the show.

The White Dragon Lord rubbed his forehead. Sure enough, he couldn't hold a shred of expectation for his Dragon Brother and Dragon Sister's naming talents.

"Let's just call it the Afiaiv Kingdom, using the first syllables of our names."

The Dragon Brother and Dragon Sister thought it over.

"No problem," the three of them chimed in.

The White Dragon Lord finalized the decision.

"Alright! The Afiaiv Kingdom it is. Next item on the agenda—the national flag."

"I'll handle this. When I was in the Nine Eyes Alliance, I learned a thing or two from a master painter of the Elven Race."

Elena perked up at this and used natural energy to sketch a pattern in the air.

Against a blue background, four abstract white dragons were linked head to tail to form a circle.

The White Dragon Lord nodded in approval. Willy and Felicia had no objections either, so the national flag—the Four-Dragon Flag—was finalized just like that.

"Next item—the capital city."

Felicia frowned. White Castle was her pride and joy.

"What's wrong with keeping it here at White Castle?!"

Willy explained from the side.

"While White Castle is great, Tasman Island is only a medium-sized island. If we make White Castle the capital, the city's future development potential will be severely limited. Therefore, the capital absolutely must be moved to the Main Island. Am I right, Amos?!"

"Spot on."

Amos praised, then looked at Felicia to comfort her.

"Not setting White Castle as the capital doesn't mean we have to abandon it. Once the new kingdom is built, we can still use White Castle as a vacation palace and stay here every now and then."

Only then did Felicia breathe a sigh of relief. The design and construction of White Castle had taken her quite a bit of effort.

Elena asked.

"So, Amos, do you have a suitable location in mind?"

The White Dragon Lord nodded.

"I think the peak in front of Snowfall Peak—the one with only its base remaining—is a good choice. That mountain used to be a famous high peak in Nordhill, but it was destroyed in the great war ten thousand years ago."

"Furthermore, the peak isn't far from the Snowpaint River, so the water transport conditions are quite favorable. We will build the Magic Tower on the mountain's base, and then construct a true royal palace using the Magic Tower as its core."

"Below the mountain slope will be the urban area of the capital. When the time comes, we will build a staircase to connect the royal palace and the capital. Felicia, I'll still leave the specific design of the city to you."

Felicia said happily.

"No problem!"

Strangely enough, Felicia truly had a great talent for architectural design, so the White Dragon Lord felt entirely at ease leaving the capital's design in her hands.

Next, the four White Dragons spent some time discussing the specific details of the kingdom's construction.

Finally, they decided that the exact time to establish the nation would be after the dragons of the Madilan World arrived in Nordhill.

The discussion concluded.

Elena stretched lazily and said.

"Since there's nothing else, I need to head back to the Nine Eyes Alliance to continue my druid training. See ya."

The Druid Dragon flew away.

After sending Elena off, the White Dragon Lord stopped his Dragon Brother and Dragon Sister, who were planning to go back to sleep.

"White Castle is going to be very busy from here on out. You two can't just wash your hands of everything."

Then, under the surprised gazes of his Dragon Brother and Dragon Sister, the White Dragon Lord brought out eighteen dragon eggs of various colors.

"Felicia, I'm leaving these dragon eggs in your care."

Felicia's eyes lit up. How could she, a genuine priestess, refuse a task that would increase the population of evil dragons and bring more believers to the Five-Headed Dragon Queen?

"Oh! Amos! You can rest easy leaving these Chromatic Dragon eggs with me. Her Majesty the Dragon Queen is going to have a few more little believers."

However, the few Metallic Dragon eggs among the clutch left her feeling somewhat displeased.

A look of disgust crossed Felicia's face.

"But as for these Metallic Dragon eggs, you should hand them over to the Metallic Dragons. It's their obligation."

The White Dragon Lord raised a brow and let out an exaggerated sigh.

"What a shame, then. The parents of these dragon eggs were planning to use Elemental Crystals to pay for their childcare expenses. Since you're not willing, I'll just send them over to the old silver dragon."

Hearing the words "Elemental Crystals," Felicia's attitude made a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree turn. The way she looked at the dragon eggs was as if she were staring at literal gold mines.

"Who said I wasn't willing! It's so pitiful for these children to be away from their parents. Besides, the Dragon God of the North Wind is also an elder of our Dragon Race. I've decided! I absolutely must take good care of these poor little guys!"

Amos and Willy stared in contempt at a certain shameless little female dragon.

Felicia flew into a rage out of humiliation. She naturally couldn't afford to provoke her older brother, but she could certainly still bully her younger brother.

"What are you looking at?!"

"Tch!"

Knowing that a wise person bends with the wind and avoids immediate conflict, Willy turned his head away with a look of disdain.

The White Dragon Lord continued speaking.

"Willy, you'll be in charge of heading to the continent to purchase the materials for building the Magic Tower. Take the money from the treasury."

"No problem."

When it came to serious matters, Willy was actually very reliable.

The White Dragon Lord nodded. He immediately picked up a pen and paper from his throne and wrote out a procurement list for Willy.

"Then without further delay, let's get moving."

After his Dragon Brother and Dragon Sister left, the White Dragon Lord reclined on his long-vacant throne and activated the Vassal Contract, notifying the major monster chieftains to come over and discuss important matters.

Although it was still a while before the official founding of the kingdom, he could still make preparations in advance.

Over ten minutes later, the various major monster chieftains arrived in the great hall of White Castle and bowed to the White Dragon upon the throne.

"We offer you our highest greetings, Great Master."

The White Dragon Lord gave a slight nod.

"Everyone performed exceedingly well during this campaign to unify the Overseas Archipelago. I will have Gurgalu record a merit for each of you."

After first acknowledging the monster chieftains' efforts, the White Dragon Lord continued.

"The Overseas Archipelago has been unified. Next, we must prepare the matters related to founding our nation. After discussing it with the other highnesses, the kingdom's name, capital, and flag have already been decided."

"However, regarding the planning of the major cities and our defensive deployments, I need to consult your opinions."
