White Dragon Lord

Chapter 190: The Gloating White Dragon

  • Next Chapter

The Gold Dragon considered the feasibility of the White Dragon Lord's proposal. It didn't take him long to make a decision.

"Alright, let's do it. How many Elemental Crystals do you need?"

The White Dragon Lord lowered his head, calculating the energy capacity of the Elemental Crystals against the mana required for a cross-world teleportation.

A moment later, he reached a conclusion.

"If I teleport alone, I only need around a thousand."

"No problem. Dragon Island can provide a thousand Elemental Crystals right now."

The Gold Dragon thought for a moment. Worried that the White Dragon Lord might not take the matter seriously once he returned, he added, "On behalf of the 172 Dragons on Dragon Island, I promise you this: once the Portal is built and the Dragons of the Madilan World arrive in the Nordhill World, we will serve you for a hundred years! The same goes for me!"

The White Dragon Lord was overjoyed. Even though all the Dragons of the Madilan World were malnourished—with the combat strength of their Adult Dragons barely reaching the Master Tier—there were simply so many of them!

If he could gain the assistance of these 172 Dragons, White Castle's lack of mid-tier combat strength would be solved in an instant.

Furthermore—the White Dragon Lord glanced at the Gold Dragon—the value of a single Ancient Gold Dragon far surpassed that of the other 171 Dragons combined.

Once he had the help of the Ancient Gold Dragon, Adelaide, White Castle's shortcomings in top-tier combat strength would be remedied. Amos would no longer have any lingering worries, allowing him to boldly expand White Castle's sphere of influence without fearing suppression from other organizations.

Even by the time the hundred-year term expired, the White Dragon Lord would have already grown to the High-Tier Legend rank.

The White Dragon Lord said happily, "Excellent! When the Portal is finished, I will invite you, Senior Adelaide, to become an elder of White Castle!"

The Gold Dragon nodded his agreement. To an Ancient Dragon with a lifespan of a hundred thousand years, a century was roughly equivalent to a single month for a human. It meant nothing at all.

Moreover, the Gold Dragon hadn't made this promise on behalf of the Madilan World's Dragons on a whim.

When the Dragons of the Madilan World arrived in Nordhill, they would be newcomers in an unfamiliar land. Having a suitable organization take them in would be far better than wandering around fighting for territory.

This was a complete win-win transaction!

The Gold Dragon felt highly satisfied with his decision; he finally didn't have to worry about the survival of his kin. He stood up.

"Then without further delay, I will go get the Elemental Crystals now."

"Wait, Senior."

The Gold Dragon looked at the White Dragon Lord in confusion.

The White Dragon Lord gathered his thoughts and said, "Since we are abandoning this world, we might as well squeeze out its remaining value. Bringing the Elemental Crystals from the crust to Nordhill would be no small fortune!"

According to the White Dragon Lord's original plan, he had intended to make the Dragons of the Madilan World collect Elemental Crystals to pay for their Portal tickets.

Now that the Gold Dragon had proposed even more favorable conditions on behalf of the native Dragons, Amos didn't mind letting them all make one last haul before leaving.

The Gold Dragon understood the White Dragon Lord's meaning: they were to drain this world of its remaining value.

The Gold Dragon felt no psychological burden doing something that purely benefited the Dragons. However, he still had his reservations.

"If we want to gather all the Elemental Crystals, the humans and the Titans are an unavoidable hurdle."

The White Dragon Lord was puzzled.

"With you holding the line, Senior, no matter what weapons the humans have, they could never break through your defenses. Why haven't you led the Dragon Race to unify the continent?"

The Gold Dragon gave the White Dragon a complicated look and explained, "Because within the Titan Race, there is my mortal enemy: the Life Titan, Delisve. Her strength is on par with mine. If I participate in the war, she will come out and stop me."

"So that's how it is."

The White Dragon Lord suddenly understood, though he still felt something was slightly off.

The Gold Dragon continued, "But now that you are here, things are different. When the time comes, I will hold off Delisve, and you will lead the Dragon Race and the Orc Race to flatten the human kingdoms."

The White Dragon felt as though he had forgotten something, but he didn't dwell on it.

"No problem. But before that, just to be safe, I will first elevate the weapon-forging level of the Orc Race."

"Oh?!"

The Gold Dragon was slightly taken aback.

"I didn't expect you to have talent in this area, Amos. Truly worthy of being a knowledgeable Mage."

The White Dragon Lord accepted the Gold Dragon's praise without a shred of modesty. In terms of combat, the White Dragon Lord most likely wasn't a match for the Gold Dragon, but when it came to reserves of knowledge, even two Gold Dragons couldn't compare to him.

The Gold Finger's Scan and storage functions gave the White Dragon Lord a photographic memory, allowing him to transcribe any book he had read without missing a single punctuation mark.

Supported by White Castle's immense wealth, the White Dragon Lord's depth of knowledge might not be top-tier, but in terms of breadth, the sheer scope of what he knew was unmatched in all of Nordhill.

The White Dragon Lord immediately discussed with the Gold Dragon how to promote the Orc Race's industrial progress and strengthen their armaments.

An hour passed. The two Dragons decided to use metal to craft recurve bows to increase the Orc Race's firing range. The White Dragon Lord would then teach the Orcs more advanced techniques for forging armor and weapons. Once the equipment was ready, they would launch their final battle against the human kingdoms.

The White Dragon Lord remembered his temporary partner, the Flame Demon Lord, Ogresa, and wondered how he could make use of the Flame Demon.

Although the two of them had sworn an oath to share any escape method they found and not to scheme against each other, he could still wring some use out of him, provided he didn't do so with the intent of harming the Flame Demon.

"Senior, I also have a temporary partner. If we can bring him in, our final battle against the humans will be much safer."

The Gold Dragon jumped to a conclusion.

"Oh? Is he also a Dragon? Where is he?"

The White Dragon Lord shook his head.

"He's not a Dragon. He is a Flame Demon. In fact, we were enemies before. We only reached a temporary agreement because we were both trapped in this elementless world."

The Gold Dragon frowned and asked, "How strong is he? What are the terms of your agreement?"

"He was originally a powerhouse who ruled a territory in the Abyss, but due to being sealed for ten thousand years, his strength has severely declined. Right now, he is only slightly stronger than an existence who just stepped into the High-Tier Legend rank. I agreed with him..."

Without a second thought, the White Dragon Lord revealed all of the Flame Demon's information, attempting to persuade the Gold Dragon to bring him on board.

After hearing the White Dragon Lord's explanation, the Gold Dragon lowered his head in thought for a moment before speaking.

"A Flame Demon Lord whose strength has severely plummeted after being sealed for over ten thousand years... If he recovers his former strength, even I would only be able to fight him to a draw. Now is the perfect time to finish him off."

The White Dragon Lord frowned.

"But, Senior, he and I swore a divine oath together."

The Gold Dragon nodded, his tone low.

"Yes, but you never planned to harm him. I am the one who is going to slaughter him now! Moreover, your agreement doesn't include a treaty to fight side-by-side, so you have no obligation to help him, either."

The White Dragon Lord's expression instantly became a picture of amusement. 'That works too?'

He thought about it carefully and realized that it actually did work!

The tone of the Gold Dragon, Adelaide, revealed undisguised anger and killing intent.

"You teach the Orcs first. I'm going to go kill that Flame Demon!"

With that, the Ancient Gold Dragon flapped his wings and flew out.

The White Dragon Lord watched the Ancient Gold Dragon's retreating back. The pressure exerted by the aura of the Ancient Gold Dragon was roughly similar to that of the Grand Duke Silver Dragon. A Flame Demon at his peak might have been an even match for him.

But now...

'Brother Flame Demon, I really didn't do it on purpose~.'

Regarding his partner running into trouble, the White Dragon Lord was not only completely devoid of sorrow, but he was even gloating a little.
