White Dragon Lord

Chapter 181: Teleportation Accident

  • Next Chapter

The Warrior raised his shield. The springing tentacle snapped forward and smashed into the barrier like a cannonball.

Crash!

Tremendous force transmitted through the shield, halting the Warrior's charge dead in its tracks.

The battle-hardened High-Tier Legendary Warrior possessed a wealth of combat experience. The instant the tentacle tried to retract, he swung his Qi-wreathed greatsword.

The razor-sharp blade cleaved the air, triggering a deafening sonic boom as it hacked into the tentacle.

Several severed limbs dropped limply onto the central island.

Roar!

The Thousand-Handed Demon let out a roar of pain and fury, snatching its tentacles back.

To its shock and rage, the beast discovered that the severed stumps stung fiercely and healed at an agonizingly slow pace. It immediately realized the greatsword was no ordinary blade—it carried an enchantment that suppressed regeneration.

The Thousand-Handed Demon lashed out at the Warrior from all directions with every tentacle on its body. Overwhelmed, the Warrior's shield failed to deflect every strike, and several tentacles whipped him.

Yet landing those hits only enraged the demon further; it could not break through the divine spell warding the Warrior's body.

Instead, the radiant energy woven into the divine spell burned its tentacles, inflicting massive damage.

Ramsdenvalen immediately understood. This was a specialized squad trained by Nordhill explicitly to deal with High-Tier Demons. Their weapons were all custom-forged tools designed solely to hunt demonkind.

The Mage's staff carried a Dimensional Anchor that locked down the space, neutralizing the demon race's signature maneuver: high-tier Teleportation.

The Warrior's greatsword carried a wound-deepening effect that countered powerful regenerative abilities, drastically weakening the demon race's physical advantages.

And what was the ability of the Sacred Scripture in the priest's hand?!

Ramsdenvalen did not want to find out, because the demon race and the priests who worshipped the Gods of Justice were born mortal enemies.

To a demon, a priest's radiant energy was far more terrifying than poison.

Flee!

Right now, Ramsdenvalen had only one thought: escape.

However, with space locked down in the Underworld, the Thousand-Handed Demon had nowhere to run!

In the rear, the High-Tier Legendary Mage and the priest finally finished preparing the magic and divine spells they had been channeling for so long.

The High-Tier Legendary elven Mage pointed his staff at the demon.

Legendary Magic—Ring of Imprisonment!

Purple Magical Energy instantly materialized around the Thousand-Handed Demon, coalescing into three massive violet rings that locked Ramsdenvalen in place.

At that moment, Ramsdenvalen finally learned the divine spell enchanted within the priest's Sacred Scripture!

Legendary divine spell—Holy Baptism!

Blinding golden holy light erupted from the Sacred Scripture. Like a rushing river, it poured into the Thousand-Handed Demon's body amid the creature's thrashing roars.

Ahhhh!!!

Submerged in the dense holy light, Ramsdenvalen's foul body melted away like snow under the sun, leaving not a trace behind. Even its soul was utterly purified.

The legendary divine spell Holy Baptism was a blessing. If an ordinary person were bathed in this holy light, it would simply wash away their fatigue and cure hidden ailments without the slightest harm.

But to a demon, holy light was like sulfuric acid to a human.

Ramsdenvalen's High-Tier Legend clone died a deeply frustrating death, though not an unjust one.

"Hmph! It couldn't take a beating at all!"

The Warrior looked at the spot where the demon had vanished with utter disdain. He pulled out a cloth and began to wipe down his beloved blade.

Amos was dumbfounded. A High-Tier Legendary demon was just finished like that?!

Was this the pinnacle of Nordhill's power?!

At that moment, the female priest flew over to the White Dragon Lord. Spotting the corroded wound on his leg, she casually cast a ray of holy light.

Bathed in the holy light, the White Dragon Lord felt a soothing warmth spread across the wound, and he discovered the injury was completely healed.

Recovering from his shock, his mind still slightly reeling, the White Dragon Lord expressed his gratitude.

"Thank you for your help, miss."

The female priest blinked in surprise. Hearing the White Dragon call her miss, she covered her mouth and giggled.

The White Dragon felt a sudden pang of embarrassment. Anyone who reached the High-Tier Legend rank—even in a relatively short-lived profession like a priest—would possess a lifespan of five hundred years. The true age of this seemingly twenty-year-old priestess was likely much older than his own.

She quickly composed her expression and raised an eyebrow, clearly put in a good mood by the brief interlude.

What woman didn't want to be called a little younger?

"Greetings, Councilor Amos. May the Lord of Light bless you."

The White Dragon Lord nodded to show his gratitude.

"May the light walk with you."

Pleasantries concluded, the female priest asked about business. After Amos gave them a full account of the events' causes and consequences, the three High-Tier Legends teleported away.

The White Dragon Lord stepped onto the island, and Yuir, who had been hiding on it and out of sight the entire time, emerged from the shadows.

"Yuir, it's time for us to head back."

As the White Dragon Lord chanted his spell, a purple Teleportation Magic Circle appeared on the ground, and the Nether Panther stepped inside its boundary.

The moment the teleportation circle activated, an accident occurred!

A squirming tentacle burst from the rubble and launched itself into the teleportation circle, releasing the last dregs of energy left inside its flesh.

"This is bad!"

Sensing the energy balance of the teleportation circle violently shatter, the White Dragon Lord flared with shock and rage!

But it was too late to stop it.

The White Dragon and the Nether Panther vanished inside the activated teleportation circle. Only an echo remained, lingering through the silent Underworld.

...

Amidst a desert.

Beneath a high, blistering sun.

The White Dragon Lord gripped a segment of red tentacle, his expression terribly grim. He could sense the remnant soul of Birrell roaring with laughter inside it.

Due to the interference from the tentacle possessed by the remnant soul, the target destination of the White Dragon Lord's Teleportation had been thrown wildly off course.

Right now, Amos had absolutely no idea where he was.

In a fit of anger, Amos hurled the tentacle into the air, tilted his head back, and unleashed a blast of Dragon Breath, freezing the tentacle and the remnant soul inside it into solid ice.

The ice-encased tentacle landed on a dune and tumbled down the slope.

His anger vented, the White Dragon Lord snorted two plumes of white mist from his massive nostrils, feeling immensely frustrated.

Because, when he tilted his head back just a moment ago for a quick glimpse, he discovered the sun overhead was a full size larger than the one over Nordhill.

Which meant he had very likely teleported into an entirely different plane!

The White Dragon Lord quickly composed his emotions.

Since it had already happened, wallowing in self-pity wouldn't offer any help in solving the problem.

Cross-planar teleportation was not something an ordinary teleportation spell could resolve. At the very least, it required a specialized magic circle for assistance. If he wanted more stable transit, he would have to construct a teleportation platform like the ones in Sky City.

With this in mind, the White Dragon Lord grabbed the unconscious Nether Panther from the ground and shook him back and forth.

"Wake up! Yuir! We need to go!"

Encountering spatial turbulence during this teleportation accident, Yuir, who lacked the robust physique of the White Dragon, had suffered massive damage and passed out immediately.

The White Dragon Lord frowned. He intended to condense a bit of water with magic to wake the Nether Panther, only to discover to his horror that there were actually no magical elements in the surrounding air.

Startled, the White Dragon Lord disregarded the Nether Panther and spread his spiritual energy outward. His expression instantly darkened.

Because, within the several-hundred-meter radius enveloped by his spiritual energy, there was not a single magical element!

A gust of hot wind swept past.

A wave of frustration swelled inside the White Dragon Lord.

At that moment, a purple Portal materialized in midair, its profound magic circle patterns spinning in the sky.

The Flame Demon Lord Ogresa stepped one leg out of the Portal as his maniacal laughter rang out.

"Hahaha, White Dragon, let's see who comes to save you this time!!!"
