Chapter 1433: Chapter 1343: The Final 2 Days (Combined Chapter) Part 2

Shedding his coat, the vampire lay down in a solitary tent to rest. They still awaited orders to continue marching.

Sentinels widened their crimson eyes, vigilantly scanning the valley slopes.

During this pursuit, vampires should have been more alert by day, but the consecutive forced marches had left many soldiers somewhat dazed.

"Stay alert! The Holy Alliance might launch a night raid!" barked a sentinel leader, though fatigue tinged his voice.

No one responded to him.

The vampire soldiers held a silent grudge, feeling the sentinel leader was making a fuss, yet still brooding over the abandoned spoils.

After all, the Holy Alliance Army was not likely to arrive, especially with the rear guard on an inverse schedule to stand watch, why fret so?

Time slowly crept towards the 8 or 9 AM sun, and just as the sentinel leader’s vision started to blur, he faintly heard the sound of a bugle.

Then another sounded, increasingly urgent.

He intended to rise, but just as he stood, he realized he hadn’t actually stood up, unable to distinguish dreams from reality.

Only after struggling in his mind did he lift his head, and the sight struck him speechless.

At the edge of his vision, on the riverbank of Winter Embrace River Valley, the flag of the Holy Alliance unfurled!

Could it really be the Alliance cavalry spearhead pursuing them?

A rapid clatter of hooves erupted from a bank at the valley side, like thunder breaking the silence!

Impossible; even if these human troops never rested, they shouldn’t have caught up with them now.

"Enemy raid! It’s the Holy Alliance cavalry!" The sentinel leader’s shout barely rang out when gunning roar exploded!

The Alliance cavalry charged out of the mountain path like specters, bronze clockwork guns in hand spewing iron sand storms, lead shot sweeping the camp outskirts densely.

The unprepared Royal Court sentinels instantly fell in heaps, tents collapsed, plasma bullets flashed brilliantly, and black-red mist blood spread wide.

"Get up and counterattack! Hold the camp!"

"Blood pact gunners advance! Form line and fire!"

Chaos swiftly engulfed the camp; bleary-eyed vampire soldiers jolted from the ground, grabbing weapons frantically, yet had no time to organize defenses.

The Alliance cavalry crashed headlong, hooves crushed tents.

They even brought Dragon’s Breath and fireball mages, fiery dragons roaring aloft, igniting stretches of tents.

Thick smoke billowed, strangling vampires’ eyes shut.

Clans’ elders who just stumbled out of tents, scattered in terror everywhere.

Grupside, due to his girth, tripped within steps amid chaos, plastered in mire.

The former dignity vanished, now clawing hands and knees to flee.

Another elder dashed inside a tent to hide, yet a cavalry bullet blasted his head flying, body staggered a step and fell.

At the critical moment, Serafe, the army’s soul, finally emerged.

"Don’t panic! Where are the brigade officers? Sound the drums, rouse the other vampires, I’m here! I’m here! It’s just a minor troop harassment..."

Before words ceased, a stray round speared through Serafe’s shoulder.

Amid cries, Serafe showed no expression, even gesturing to halt the attendant attempting to protect her.

She dipped a finger in the blood from her wound, flicking, a blood bullet punctured nearly a hundred meters away, precisely striking a Holy Alliance cavalryman’s head.

Watching the cavalryman clutching a plasma bullet slide off the saddle, chaos in the camp paused a moment.

In the burst of white light, wild winds rampaged; in that instant’s quiet, Serafe’s eyes bloomed, bleeding traces trickling.

"Wake up! It’s just a minor force!"

Her voice was small but exploded in every vampire soldier’s mind within the camp.

The vampires who were howling to flee halted sharply.

Indeed, the soldiers suddenly remembered, just a cavalry squad of less than a thousand, what were they afraid of?

"Profane cannon!"

"Form ranks facing west, don’t wear armor, crow masks will suffice."

At her command, the chaotic soldiers gradually steadied, blood pact gunners swiftly forming lines, firing toward cavalry.

Meanwhile, she herself straightforwardly bit her tongue, opened her mouth, and crimson mist billowed into the sky from her lips.

Within seconds, a small blood cloud rose over the camp, and drizzling blood rain drenched every vampire.

The places burned by light grenades, holy water all smoked black, and vampires surprisingly found themselves painless.

While humans couldn’t help but cry out softly in pain, as blood rain fell on exposed skin like acid rain, leaving burning marks each drop.

Remember, vampires don’t have human Divine Art; they possess only blood magic and necromancy.

Only Serafe, or Lilith herself, could use portions of past power, uniting both.

For levels in blood magic and necromancy, Serafe is decisively superior, unlike certain human leaders whose breathing technique isn’t even up to third stage.

Almost simultaneously, Serafe kept flicking fingers at cavalrymen riding through the camp.

Each flick, a sanguine beam swept by, Holy Alliance cavalry hit either dead or maimed.

Black-red mist rose repeatedly, gradually curbing the Alliance cavalry’s assault.

Sensing their ambush failed, they no longer lingered in battle, wheeling mounts northward to sprint along the river valley, soon vanishing in sunlight, leaving behind a ravaged camp.
