Chapter 268: Chapter 264: Crazy Couple 28

A voice suddenly cried out from outside, but Wu Chufeng paid it no mind. Without so much as a glance, he pulled Ji Xiaosong along and finished the final step.

"The ceremony is complete!"

The master of ceremonies was a robot Ji Xiaosong had arranged, so the moment the two of them finished the final step, it made the announcement.

Only then did Wu Chufeng turn to look at the person who had shouted.

Xiao Mumu, who was supposed to be at home on bed rest for her pregnancy, suddenly walked in, carrying a bucket. Her face was pale, yet twisted with a frenzied hatred. Her hair was a mess, and her eyes were locked on Ji Xiaosong, as if she wanted to devour her whole.

"Ji Xiaosong! You bitch!"

Xiao Mumu began screaming curses the moment she spoke. Her voice was sharp and shrill, utterly jarring in the otherwise festive atmosphere of the Vice Minister Mansion.

"You killed Brother Zhi Xiao! Today, I’m going to turn your wedding into a joke!"

With that, she violently flung the bucket forward. The yellowish-black filth inside splattered toward Ji Xiaosong and Wu Chufeng, and a nauseating stench instantly filled the air.

A cold glint flashed in Ji Xiaosong’s eyes. Before anyone else could react, she discreetly lifted her right hand and covertly formed a hand seal.

The splattering filth, as if drawn by an invisible force, abruptly changed direction in mid-air and hurtled back toward Xiao Mumu.

At the same time, Ji Xiaosong’s guards reacted swiftly.

These guards were highly trained and had been on high alert the moment Xiao Mumu stormed in.

Now, they charged toward Xiao Mumu like phantoms.

The guard captain in the lead, his eyes sharp, roared, "Take this madwoman down!"

The guards moved with lithe agility, surrounding Xiao Mumu in the blink of an eye.

Xiao Mumu was still screaming frantically, "How dare you touch me? Do you know who I am? Ji Xiaosong, you’ll die a miserable death!"

However, her shrieks were powerless against the guards’ swift actions.

The filth that had been sent hurtling back drenched Xiao Mumu completely. She was instantly covered in excrement, a wretched sight to behold.

She stared in horror at the scene unfolding before her, the fury on her face instantly replaced by terror.

"No, this is impossible!"

She shrieked, trying to dodge the disgusting filth, but found she had nowhere to escape.

Her terror didn’t make the guards hold back.

They quickly advanced. Some pulled out ropes to bind her, while others scanned the area warily, guarding against further incidents.

Xiao Mumu struggled desperately, flailing her arms to push away the approaching guards, a stream of curses spewing from her mouth.

"You pack of dogs, let me go! Ji Xiaosong, don’t you get cocky! I won’t let you off the hook!"

Xiao Mumu screamed until she was hoarse, but the guards remained completely unmoved.

The guard captain’s brow furrowed in disgust as he glared at Xiao Mumu. "Hmph. You crazy hag. How dare you cause a scene at the Vice Minister Mansion. Today, you’ll learn your lesson."

Ji Xiaosong watched the chaotic scene, the corner of her mouth curling into a cold smirk.

She slowly walked up to Xiao Mumu, her eyes as cold as a frozen pond in deep winter.

"Xiao Mumu, did you really think you could ruin my wedding? Li Zhixiao brought his death upon himself, yet you blame me for everything. Today is your day of reckoning."

Hearing Ji Xiaosong’s words, Xiao Mumu’s eyes bulged, wide as saucers and filled with hatred.

"You’re lying! Brother Zhi Xiao was a good man! It was you! It was all you, you venomous woman!"

Ji Xiaosong couldn’t be bothered to waste any more words on her. She turned to the guard captain and said:

"Take her away. This filth won’t be spilled in the Vice Minister Mansion today. Deliver it to her home instead. Let her enjoy it to her heart’s content."

The guard captain acknowledged the order and gestured for the guards to haul Xiao Mumu to her feet.

Xiao Mumu continued to struggle, kicking her legs wildly as she tried to break free from the guards’ hold.

But her strength was no match for the guards’. Like a lamb to the slaughter, she was held fast and dragged toward the exit.

"Ji Xiaosong, you’ll die a miserable death! I’ll haunt you even after I’m dead!"

Xiao Mumu’s curses grew fainter as she was led out of the Vice Minister Mansion, eventually fading from hearing.

Inside the Vice Minister Mansion, the guests were all stunned by the sudden spectacle.

Only after a long moment did people begin to whisper among themselves.

Ji Xiaosong, however, acted as if nothing was amiss. She elegantly straightened her wedding attire, as though the whole farce had never happened.

As Wu Chufeng watched the disgraceful scene unfold, a tide of fury washed over him, completely submerging him.

His eyes were wide, fixed on Xiao Mumu as the guards held her. His glare was so intense it looked as if it could shoot fire.

Today was supposed to be a joyous occasion, yet this woman had thrown it into chaos—and in his own home, no less. It was an utter humiliation.

"Xiao Mumu, you’ve got a lot of nerve!"

Wu Chufeng said through gritted teeth, his voice low and seething with rage.

Seeing his expression, Ji Xiaosong recalled how Wu Chufeng had sliced off Wu Wenxuan’s manhood with a single stroke a month ago, and a chill ran down her spine.

’Who knows what this psycho will do to Xiao Mumu.’

Wu Daniu stood to the side, his face alternating between pale and flushed, so embarrassed he didn’t know where to look.

He never imagined his own granddaughter would do something so insane as to cause a scene at such an important event.

He was a man who cared deeply about his reputation. If word of today’s scandal got out, he would be utterly disgraced in the Capital City.

Watching Xiao Mumu being dragged away, he felt both heartbroken and helpless. His granddaughter had been spoiled rotten since childhood, and now that she had caused such a disaster, he had no idea how to resolve the situation.

"Chu Feng,"

Wu Daniu began cautiously, his voice trembling slightly. "Mumu... she... she was probably just confused for a moment. For the sake of the child she’s carrying, please don’t do anything too harsh to her."

His eyes were filled with anxiety. He was worried Wu Chufeng would be too severe with Xiao Mumu, but he also feared this incident would spark an even bigger conflict.

Just then, Wang Cuihua approached, feigning concern. "Oh dear, what is to be done? How could that child, Mumu, be so foolish? Master, you mustn’t worry yourself so. I’m sure Chu Feng won’t do anything too drastic to Mumu. We’re all family, after all."

As she spoke, she gently dabbed the corner of her eye with a handkerchief, looking for all the world as if she were genuinely heartbroken over what had happened to Xiao Mumu.

In reality, she was thrilled. Xiao Mumu, banking on Wu Daniu’s affection, had often treated her with disdain. Seeing her publicly humiliated like this was a satisfying release of her own pent-up resentment.

Wu Chufeng completely ignored Wang Cuihua’s false sympathy. His mind was consumed with rage for Xiao Mumu.

He looked back at Wu Daniu and said coldly, "Father, I will not let today’s matter rest. Xiao Mumu must pay the price for her actions. As for the child she’s carrying, we can discuss that after she gives birth safely. But until then, she won’t be taking a single step out of this house, lest she go out and stir up more trouble."

Wu Chufeng’s tone left no room for argument. He had clearly resolved to punish Xiao Mumu severely.
