Chapter 1544: I’m Burning This Place Down Now

You’ve got to be kidding me... I’m back where I started again.

...

This is a joke, right?

I turned to look back at the wall behind me, pressing my palm against it to see if I could phase through it.

I frowned when my hand pressed against the cold wall that did not budge an inch, unwilling to let me out of here despite the fact that I had already gone through this place before.

It can’t really expect me to go through the entire thing again, can it?

I turned back to look at the rest of the room, right in time to see the stick figure pop out from around the corner of one of the walls as it trudged through the corridor.

It spotted me almost immediately and either this one was not the same entity as the one I beat up the first time or it had completely forgotten me... It charged straight towards me intending to attack me.

I couldn’t even be bothered at this point...

Screw it...

"Eins."

There was no hesitation as she appeared from my shadow, rushing forward to smash her fist into the face of that entity.

While I held back my punches whenever I dealt with these things to keep them alive so that I could interrogate them... I found no need to keep them alive this time.

In fact...

"Zwei, Drei, Vier, Funf, Sechs, Sieben, Acht, Neun, Zehn."

Nine more of my Shadow Guards appeared from my shadow, arranging themselves in front of me.

"Break down this place," I ordered.

They moved immediately, smashing into the walls and knocking them down like they were made of cardboard.

The space that was enclosed by the zigzagging walls and corridors quickly became a large, open space as my Shadow Guards knocked down the walls methodically.

I strolled behind them, watching as more and more of the walls were knocked down to turn the room into a giant hall instead.

We came across another one of those stick entities but it didn’t even get to decide if it would be a good idea to attack us before it got its head ripped off by one of my Shadow Guards.

Not satisfied with just breaking down the walls, I got them to start using their spells as well to burn and wreck the room as much as possible.

There was no need to keep this place intact after all.

We swept through the floor, destroying anything we came across and ripping apart any entities we found.

I was worried about coming across other people who might be trapped on this floor but surprisingly, there was no one else.

Then again... This was probably the first floor and with my old World having already been destroyed, they probably did not get any new victims to enter this place for a long time so there shouldn’t be anyone else remaining here.

Or I was completely wrong about this and each floor was instanced or something.

Anyway... I’m not sure how big this place was but if I were to look back at where we had started, the space we had cleared was big enough to fit several dragons in here, if we were to disregard the ceiling height of course.

And yet... It still doesn’t look like we’re done.

Tsk... Guess ten of me is not enough.

I sucked in a breath and breathed out slowly, right as my shadow stretched itself and my Shadow Guards started climbing out of it in waves, joining my first ten in wrecking the place.

More than a hundred of my Shadow Guards spread out through the rest of the room to start their work of destruction. It looked like there was a literal wave of maids sweeping through the entire area and knocking down the walls the moment they touched it.

I think I spotted one of those entities literally dragged down by the crowd before it got ripped to shreds and its remains burned to ash.

But as though the space was taking offense to how I was clearing the room, the floor suddenly disappeared and we fell through the ground.

I stored all of my Shadow Guards back into my shadow as we fell, my wings already extending to slow down my fall as I spun around to see where this place had decided to dump me in.

And then the ground rushed up to meet me before I could even react.

I was expecting myself to slam down hard on the ground but it felt like I had landed on a soft bed instead of a solid floor.

Pushing myself up, I realised I was in that hospital place again, appearing in the exact same hallway with the reception desk and waiting area.

This time, instead of giving me time to explore, that anatomy model appeared at the corridor and started marching towards me, completely ignoring its previous rule where it should not be able to move if I was looking at it.

Though... I’m not sure what its plan was here since I don’t think it could do anything to me in the first place.

I let out a soft sigh before pointing my palm at the anatomy model that was strolling towards me.

Nothing happened at first until my Shadow Guards started climbing out of my shadow once again, this time I wasn’t just stopping at only a few hundred but going all the way instead.

Which meant that I was letting my entire storage of Shadow Guards pour out and start rushing out of my shadow to start their carnage.

The already broken waiting chairs were broken even more while the walls that separated us from the rest of the wards were quickly struck down and demolished.

That poor anatomy model skidded to a stop when it saw the wave of Shadow Guards rushing out of me and tried to turn to run, only for one of my Shadow Guards to throw out a rope made of shadow to wring the model back towards us.

It got stomped into pieces before it got burned away, the entire process lasting only a few seconds before it was completely reduced to ashes.

I strolled forward, watching my Shadow Guards continue their destruction of the place while even more of them continue to pour out from my shadow. I was not planning to stop until I had completely filled up the place with my Shadow Guards.

I reached the corridor outside and found my Shadow Guards tearing several of the Faceless Ones into pieces as well, not leaving a single one intact.

Doors got ripped off their hinges and broken beds even used as improvised weapons against any entity unfortunate enough to be here.

Once again, as if reacting to the destruction we were wrecking, the corridor expanded and the lights went out, which would have probably scared anyone else in this situation but not for me. I just got my Shadow Guards to continue breaking even more stuff that was littered around the corridor and thrashing everything they could get their hands on.

A rumbling came from further down the corridor and I looked up ahead to see a tsunami of those entities rolling straight towards us.

I didn’t even need to do anything as my Shadow Guards arranged themselves into a line and materialised spears made out of shadow to form a spear wall.

The entities charged straight into the wall and impaled themselves on it, my Shadow Guards not even back up an inch despite the force of the slam.

Then it descended into chaos as my Shadow Guards leapt at the entire army of entities, tearing each of them apart one by one with their hands.

I could just cut them down or use magic to kill them but... Heh heh...

The sight of me tearing each of their fellow entities apart must have completely caught these entities off guard as they just stood there and watched the others get torn to shreds.

And as if to show that they were completely irrelevant to me, I turned my attention away from them and focused more on the other Shadow Guards that were destroying the rooms like that was more interesting to me instead.

Some of the entities tried to fight back but none of them were even capable enough of hurting any of my Shadow Guards while the others learned pretty quickly this was not a battle they could win.

They tried to scatter but there was nowhere for them to run when I could match the number of entities to the number of Shadow Guards I have.

And even now, more of my Shadow Guards were still climbing out from my shadow, joining the rest of the others that were wrecking the room.

I half expected the place to switch me to that floor with the beige walls again but... I guess there was no way for them to do it anymore since I basically killed the one entity that could occupy that floor... Or at least I think he did, I suppose?

Anyway... Gonna continue killing more of them now.
